      A Request: Aces workflow in resolve fusion aces project managed vs fusion studio. The viewer luts are driving me nuts. The workaround with aces transform at the end of the tree is a pain for big comps and ocio gives the most accurate results but have to disable the managed options every single time …

    Very good workflow .iam fusion user before bmd acquisition and love this integration of workflow . You explaimed it very well. However bmd should make it more easy to roundtrip to standalone fusion because i have some shots in timeline where 3d compositing os required and with the fusion inside resolve it slows down the timeline very much .i can workwith the vfx connect process but the problem is that the client requires it to be done inside resolve to have access in the timeline if any changes necessary afterwards . Fusion standalone is much much faster than the DaFusion . I love working in standalone version . But it is wonderful on BMD side to include fusion studio standalone in resolve license. Keep more videos coming . You are a very good tutor

    This was very informative. No one talks about versions or why to use Fusion Studio when you have it baked into Resolve. Your explanation made sense but i was sad that you didn't follow that through and show how much faster it is using this workflow. And what sort of use cases would it make sense to do so.

    • @CreativeVideoTips
      @CreativeVideoTips  Před měsícem +2

      Its difficult to quantify the speed of filling the cache because every shot is so different. Rule of thumb is if you can do a quick fix in resolve, stay there. But if its going to be very involved and maybe go through round of client notes - I think fusion studio connect is great for this.

  • @indfusion

      The main differences are that not all the resolve fx are in the stand alone. Fusion. Studio has free network rendering to allow multiple computers to render a single shot. Standalone has some easier to use proxy function and is lightweight. One shot per comp project file.

    There is a problem that we always suffer from when designing some texts and graphics in 1920*1080 horizontal dimensions, but when we change the dimensions of the timeline "square dimensions for example" these elements become crazy! Isn't there a solution to be able to transfer this graphic easily between several timelines

    Nope, I would kill my contractors or lancers if they did this again. Just import the footage into fusion and replace it in resolve, hard drives are expensive and the fact that it needs to dup footage to make plates is horrible and dupping footage that's in 300gig per shot and keep it linear out for final grade will bloat your projects so much.
