- 1978 - 1984: Amazing friends enjoying life to it’s fullest with no idea of the Sh-t storm (aka AIDS) that was about to change all of our lives forever (some devastatingly more than others). Note: We lost more than half of these awesome guys and many, many more (that I’m sorry I don’t have photos of).
RIP to those pictured:

that's how the life is ... and how the cookie crumbles
To my shock I recognize many of these men. I can hardly see to type I'm so unexpectedly overcome. This video brings to mind the Pet Shop Boys song, Being Boring, "I came across a cache of old photos...now I sit with different faces in rented rooms and foreign places...all the people I was kissing some are here and some are missing...I thought in spite of dreams you'd be sitting somewhere here with me..." My dear departed friends, you haven't really missed much, I'm old, we'd be old, but nevertheless you are missed. Thanks for this posting.
Oddly, I know someone in this, and he is still around. that is a very rare thing.
Too many lost lives. We all wanted the same thing. To love and be loved. It all seems like yesterday.....
My favorite decade ! I was 19 and had just finished 3 years in the Navy and was on my way from San Diego to LA and new to the gay scene. Heck, I didn’t know what gay was . But I was dying to find out ! Studio One ! So many memories. I lived just above Franklin & Hollywood Blvd… behind that church with Gary Abraham’s …. a handsome Jewish man I met at a steam room. He and his lover headed Filmex !
So many beautiful lives lived, and all too many lost. RIP wonderful guys!
So many mustaches.
An entire generation lost...RIP
Omg! At 236mm. Oh he was gorgeous. I was a masseur in L.A and sadly many of my clients have crossed over .
I THINK HE WAS KILLED THAT DUDE ON LEFT
NOT SURE
Very powerful. Thank you.
RIP TONY!
That is my coming out years. So many beautiful men. Thank you for their memories and sharing with us. We who are still alive.
I dance even better now.
R.I.P
The Royal Hawaiian Beach was quite popular! The Pink Palace.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who noticed this in the WeHo homage.
2.36 DUDE ON LEFT
I THINK THATS HIM
HE WAS KILLED IN A CRASH IN LA YRS AGO
How things have changed... Though I really can't remember stepping out of my W.H. apartment & unto Waikiki Beach???
Nice photo of Scott.
Sorry to be THAT guy, but most of the beachy shots were at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Waikiki!
Reagan the BEAST
Why ?
@@neverever167
As President, Reagan denied there was a Deadly Virus and refused funding for years. Finally, allotting a pittance for research. His delay cost the lives of Thousands of young men. He was and still is a BEAST.
Why is it all dudes and no women?
🤣
WH? All the beach shots were taken in front of the Royal Hawaiian in Waikiki -- only a smattering of gays hang there now. And Queens Beach just down the strand is a distant memory. 😪
R.I.ALOHA my dears, gone way too soon. 😘🌺😢
A.I.D.S. and COVID... PANDEMIC's that could've been nipped in the bud had leaders not ignored the severity (reagan and trump).
