Remain ever present at the door of your Lord!

Qasidah إلزم باب ربك by Imam Abdullah bin Alawi al-Haddad
Remain ever present at the door of your Lord,
leave everything else aside.
Ask Him for safety,
from the abode of tribulations.
Let not your heart be distressed,
all things will soon fade.
Allah is the Ordainer,
and this world is in constant flux.
Let not your worries augment,
what has been ordained will come to pass.

لا يضيق صدرك فالحادث يهون
اللَه المقدر والعالم شؤون
لا تكثر لهمك ما قدر يكون
فكرك واختيارك دعهما وراك
والتدبير أيضاً واشهد من رآك
مولاك المهين إنه يراك
فوض له أمورك وأحسن الظنون
لا تكثر لهمك ما قدر يكون
لو ولم ويكيف قول ذي الحمق
يعترض على اللَه الذي خلق
وقضى وقدر كل شيء بحق
يا قلبي تنبه واترك المجون
لا تكثر همك ما قد يكون
أنت والخلائق كله عبيد
والإله فينا يفعل ما يريد
همك واغتمامك ويحك ما يفيد
فالقضا تقدم فاغنم السكون
لا تكثر همك ما قد يكون
قد ضمن تعالي بالرزق القوام
في الكتاب المنزل نوراً للأنام
فالرضا فريضة والسخط حرام
والقنع راح والطمع جنون
لا تكثر همك ما قد يكون
الذي لغيرك لا يصل إليك
والذي قسم لك حاصل لديك
فاشتغل بربك والذي عليك
في فرض الحقيقة والشرع المصون
لا تكثر همك ما قد يكون
شرع المصطفى الهادي البشير
ختم الأنبياء البدر المنير
صلى اللَه عليه الرب القدير
ما ريح الصبا مالت بالغصون
لا تكثر همك ما قد يكون
