I've been a loyal user since 2008 when they came out with Traitor Pro. Modded and mapped My entire kit for exactly how I like it. I am so happy 4 brings us closer to competitors. Can't wait to download and play with it
@@user-sf7ip7ik9c For real..... They are isolating themselves from the greater DJ and production equipment ecosystem. Instead of trying to be flexible and cross-compatible they always make their gear near impossible to use with software outside of Traktor/Maschine 2. My first mixer was the Mk1 S4, but I will not be buying another NI mixer because every club and venue uses Pioneer CDJs and outside of playing around with it, there is no purpose, until you can seamlessly take a Traktor playlist with hotcues and all the grids and put it on a usb and have it work with a CDJ, I am done giving money to the Traktor side of NI.
@@Benny87654321 The UI is still low res, and looks bad on high res displays. Almost all other software has supported high res for many years now. Apart from just looking nicer, text is much sharper and easier to read. Traktor Pro should have had high res support in version 3. Now we're on version 4 and it still doesn't.

Nice one! UI refresh is good and the app feels snappier, and the flexible grid is a really welcome feature for playing old vinyl rips and other not-so-stable bpm tracks :) I’d love a Skip Section feature, kind of like Loop In/Out, but Skip From Here/To Here. And visual dividers for the browser, for grouping bunches of track visually. And advanced search features. Also new colored markers, to signify for eg. ‘Hit play here’, ‘Mix out here’ would be great! 16 years on Traktor and not planning on going elsewhere! ❤
Wow, STEM separation is finally here. Thanks NI, this brings Traktor at par with other DJ s/w and with its rx deck and sequencer, the creativity can be limitless!
it’s so good to see Traktor alive. Stem separation needs to be a live process, I think a lot of people won’t like thinking ahead like this, and would prefer improvising. Also separated stems will fill up lots of hard drive space
Been on traktor since I ported the circle puck to another Linux distro in 2000. This build is what my s8 was made for! Can't wait to jump in! No more isolating stems externally!
I'm sooo updating right away! I've been using traktor since launch and I aim to keep growing with future updates and hopefully one day the all in one controller we are all waiting for!
I am very impressed with Traktor 4 but I would like the NI team to make extra effort to bring it to more gear like for example the XDJ-XZ, which is pretty much the exact same thing as CDJs. A lot of us have it and don't wanna use Serato or Rekorbox with it, we would love to have an official midi mapping for the XZ and other devices too!
@@pedromanafaia It's not good, I've tried them all and they dont give you full controle of the device you have with Traktor. We need a proper one from the companies themselves, I don't want to be limited in a midi mapping, I want to fully use traktor on my XDJ. Not half of it!
if you guys made stand alone hardware like CDJs you would be the industry leader. Without a road map from bedroom Dj to mainstage, you limit your customers
That would still require clubs to have Traktor all in ones instead of the usual setups, which is still unlikely. With a decent controller you can use whatever mixer is there though.

There have been third party apps to do it but they get shut down. Interestingly, Denon all in ones allow imports of USBs prepared by most systems on their devices, but not the other way around.
@@politesociety I just feel the industry as a whole needs more unity. I just feel this should of been an update not a new, paid, version. Not enough was updated, and I recall promises of some of these features as updates to Traktor 3.

But it would be nice if the big players decided to put together some universal standards for tracks on USB similar to dmx and midi, where as long as you support the base level stuff that works anywhere you can innovate on top of that. I think it's unlikely while pioneer dominate though, as that kind of compatibility threatens their dominance of club and bar systems.
Coming from oldskool turntable Djing and been a loyal user of Traktor DVS sistem since 2008, I dont care about flexible beatgrid or stems .. just wanna Traktor to work flawlessly with all the latest pioneer equipment specially for the XDJ RX & XZ series because now those decks are flooding the dj booth in all small club or bars .. and also to their latest mixers and cdj 3000 for more big club / rave set up... to be honest pioneers rules 99% of all dj booth all over the world not NI controllers

@@untiground sure we have seen vocal separation before, but if I understand correctly, this one can separate drums, bass, vocals and melodies. That is huge leap from separating just vocals as vocals are usually mixed in certain way and easily taken out from tracks.

Great job NI! Please provide us with an updated controller similar to D2. In most cases many dj booths are limited in space to place a full sized dj controller. A D2 styled controller allows us to access all of traktors powerful features while using the house dj mixer.

Maybe I’m mistaken but why do you need to load either the full song or the stem version? Why not just load “the song” which plays the original version and if you turn off a stem then it seamlessly uses the pre-made stem version of the song?
If this is one of the biggest group of NI users, hope that NI team are present here. I'm using Traktor Pro 3 + S4mk3 for 1 year. Till that, in my 10 years of experience in mobile gigs, I've tryed most of what market have to ofer. All major DJ software, and all flagships controller. I felt in love with S4MK3 as most compact but fully featured console with maybe the best build quality. But the software need few improvements to compete with competitors. Mapping - best mapping in my opinion is Serato DJ. You just ceate crate, or crates in crate, and search should be same simple as it on Serato. Also data base/library. Sampler - make it just like in Serato. Or make a second mode, keeping classic version but giving a Serato kind of, for those who like that. Cue Points - make it color coded with posibility of naming. Again - just like in Serato. Decks - switching from A to C or B to D must be just like on RB or Serato. You want sales, I want motivation to keep on with your DJ soft and controller. The S4mk3 even 6 yars dated, its still my favorit choice, I really love it. But the software could be even better.

If you're playing on a 13-15 screen like most of us, a UI designed for 1080p doesn't look pixelated, so stop with your exaggerated nonsense.

After analyzing the stems, does the title take up four times more space on the hard drive or not?
The stems will be stored in your Traktor user folder so yes it will take up a bit more space.
