    I agree with you, free flowing shapes are pleasant, sharp edges in a building to me seem so unnatural. We are looking into dome homes. Where i live tornadoes are a yearly event. Traditional square homes here end up broken by them. I also like the different structures that are in every culture and from history. Love your rocket stove. Great video

      Although I would agree with other commenters that I would have liked more info on aircrete and that the music was a little too loud. Thanks again!

    Made it to about 12:45 in the video & gave up waiting for the history of the entire field of architecture of all of human civilization to wrap-up; and for the focus to finally be turned to the actual aircreate dome house…
    Thank u for your video this comment probably sounds snarky but I just couldn’t take the overload of information since there wasn’t enough content about the actual, physical making of the house, and waaaaaaay to much esoteric theory for me.

    The questions I have are.....1 how do you release steam from a bathroom/laundry from a shower or washing machine to prevent mould buildup? 2. How do you prevent water from coming in from outside, especially during heavy rainfall? 3. How do you create airflow for example, say you burnt your dinner...how do you air the place out of the smoke or strong smell?

      Like in a normal house. The dome roof can have a tarp build in, a mix of latex and cement for water protection. To get air circulation in the kitchen on the stove? Like in the old days. With a window in place. Or a ventilation system like in modern houses. It’s on you to figure it out. I am building in Panama. But I couldn’t get a building permit with aircrete. So I am building a circular house with local concrete blocks. The municipality got me a permit for it. If you like to build affordable housing, you have to consider local building codes and materials. If you consider that the Domegaia tool set is around $1,300 plus shipping - I got all my 6” blocks (1500) for the main level for $1,065. That’s for inside and outside walls. If people coming now and say that aircrete is environmental better then concrete blocks. The cement you will need is the main issue that produces CO2. You need it for aircrete anyways. And you don’t need to wait 30 days to wait to dry your aircrete blocks if you just use cement blocks. The original dome was build with locally available 4” cement blocks. Not aircrete!

      @@holgermessner851 Thanks very much for that. I am moving to Europe soon to be with my Mrs, non EU country. After buying a standard house, i want to buy land and have one built underground, as a getaway plus as a spare incase of "whatever" 😀

    • @holgermessner851
      @holgermessner851 Před 18 dny

      @erniesulovic4734 If you build underground. AirCrete will not withstand a lot if pressure. Not the self mixed kind. If you are in Europe. Over ground: Search for Ytong or Hebel. That's the original "AirCrete" material made by this 2 companies. For underground building, I would only consider concrete blocks filled with concrete. Like a bunker.

      @@holgermessner851 Glad u mentioned that and thanks. Only found out re Aircrete not being good for underground the other day. Im happy to use full concrete for underground or maybe stone even 😀

    Please turn the background music down. It is unnecessary and makes it hard to hear the person speaking.

      harsh wording, but a bit more voice volume relative to the music volume would be good audio mixing.

    Because you plan on building a new house in 15-20 years on the same place but don't want to spend money on demolition as it will fall by itself?
