I mean 3 high schools from the Dallas area were state champs. Duncanville, Desoto, and South Oak cliff all were state champs in 2022 and all these schools are like 15 min from each other. Duncanville doesnât show up to be part of Dallas but itâs literally like a 20min drive south from downtown Dallas, same for desoto it shows to be its own city or county but is right next to duncanville and like 20/30min from Dallas. Those were both 6A state champs in 2022

Texas teams usually get beaten by higher Private and Academic schools, so no surprise there. But when it come to other public schools, they do pretty well. Atascocita literally beat the 2nd best Nevada team last year, thereâs huge depth in TX ball. Same thing with FLA ball.

If itâs such a talent disadvantage why schedule them? South Oaks head coach Clifton said he was disappointed and they didnât come ready to play.
@@DW-lw3hg enrollment makes a HUGE difference, b/c enrollment provides depth and a bigger pool to choose from. When you have two talented schools, usually the one with the most depth wins out, which is the reason they separate based on enrollment in the first place.
