In this video, we'll be discussing the problem with competitive games and why some people may want to quit.
Some people may be struggling with the competitive environment of some video games, and may want to quit in order to return to a more relaxed gaming experience. In this video, we'll be discussing the reasons why some people may want to quit competitive games. I'll also create my own plan to escape the vicious cycle of them.
I was planning on also making a Video essay based on a similar topic, let me know if you'd like to see that.

I was also the type of guy to be a multiplayer fanativ for the past 4-5 years in games like: Fortnite, R6, Overwatch, Rocket League, CSGO and Valorant. It does create soma highs and lows like u said in gaming but I feel like at times when these were my main types of games, I would want to stay away from the computer. I guess I needed more of an EXPERIENCE, than a competitive sport.
Then Epic Games saved me by letting me claim Fallout New Vegas for free. Over the past 2 months Ive put over 62 hours in that game and also around 11 hours in Fallout 4 and Skyrim combined, Ive become a lot more interested in singleplayer games. New Vegas is an experience I trully recommend to anyone due to the roleplaying, story, setting and the decisions you can make. Now I can still enjoy Val and CS at times but I can balance it out with other types of games which is a lot healthier IMO.

The goals are a part of it and for me personally it does help with the career I’m going for within the esports industry, but what I love most about competitive games, even without the career goal, is the atmosphere. You’re talking to your teammates coordinating your way towards a common goal. Even if you lose, as long as they’re not blatantly throwing, it’s still fun pulling things off. All it takes is one good play to make a loss worth it. It also brings back the good days when everyone used a mic in pubs compared to now where no one talks aside from that one kid with the fan going on in the background. I love single player games too, but I can’t get an experience like that out of them.

I think the main problem with competive games is honestly the people who play them. Most people are try hards so if you lose one game they get mad and it throws off your whole vibe. i can take losing at least 3 games before needing a break(unless its valorant then its 2 becuase the matches are long asf). And honestly r6 is the only game with good ranked rewards. Getting new charms each season is cool espesially since the higher ranked ones are more then just a color change. they usually glow or have an effect. Wish valorant would do what r6 does.

I participated in competitive games from 2008 to 2021. Honestly, the primary reason I quit was the prevalence of cheating today.

    Translated by Google:
My problem with FPS and shooters is that if you are a newbie or have no experience in the genre, you will never get used to it or be happy because to play this type of game you have to have requirements that are crucial and that are unattainable:
Have experience in using different types of weapons, which are all of them.
Know ideal complex strategies and tactics
Having communication, the problem is that no one communicates and language matters a lot.
Manage ammunition so you don't spend it all.
    Have survival skills.
Have game modes and maps memorized.
Correctly use all types of gadgets and gadgets, which are all of them.
Know how to defend yourself from rivals.
    Have fine aim.
Take responsibility for your team and objectives
As you see a high peak of requirements that you will not learn naturally or daily because you will die constantly.
I stayed with multiplayer racing games because you don't need as many requirements to play as FPS games because the only requirements you need are:
    Know how to drive correctly.
    Have the tracks memorized.
    Know how to stop.
    Manage tires (in simulators)

I strongly suggest a game called Fantasy Life on the 3DS I gave my brother an old 2DS and he quit his clash of clans and Valorant addiction and replaced it with fantasy life I love the game and its not addictive. Also some other good games are OMORI, Paper Mario the Thaosand Year Door, Sonic Heroes, Bug Fables, OneShot, Born of Bread, Bullet Hell Monday Black, Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Zelda the Wind Waker HD and Geometry Dash. Ive had the most fun playing those games in my 20 or so years of gaming. Most of the games I mentioned were obscure or old media that no one talks about thats why you probably never heard of them.
These games are the best you just may have never heard of them. Play these games they are my favourites.

The reword in competitive activities comes from the satisfaction of getting better. You don't need rewards in game. Take chess for example

    • @sauxce
      @sauxce  Před 5 měsíci

Yea im aware. Though chess is a terrible example, I'm not talking about games 1000-year-old games. Im talking about ones that are meant to change and satisfy their players. Especially the ones that ask their players for feedback and choose to ignore half of it.

i swear i the only one that handles losing in multi player better, than in single player
for single player picture this, died, load check point, have seen the start of this check point a fair bit kind of an easy annoying start but oh well and later is the speed hump i am on it's challenge maybe in lots of AI or much stronger stats as it needs something like that to be challenge due it being an ai without brains and each death i got to do the same thing before over it gets meh kind of quick, often i push though and often it is still meh after
as for multi player i have done private match sessions against someone better than me lost every game but sometimes i went better than before, but the challenge does not come from buffing my opponents load out or adding more , it comes from my opponents skill and brain and due to it being a player thinking to each round feels more fresh than a reload check point
yes there is also lower difficulty not all games offer to do it at anytime kind of making you want to go to easy at first
though i do like a horde mode if it is build right, just chose a map, random spawns, no goal to reach maybe just a high score before you die but there is no progress to be made or lost you gonna die sooner or later and then you start again and if it is random spawns it doesnt really feel like you are starting again it feels like you are playing a different level as you are fighting different AI line up
