Ive been to a drag bar before in new york and it was pretty much how it was described here, maybe a little more chaotic. My and a couple buddies went out of drag, and there was another group there same as us, just exploring the NYC night life, and we hung out with some queens as well. One of the most fun nights ive ever had

I've been to so many bars alone both here (Rhode Island) and in south Florida in the two years I lived there. Just made a lot of good friends. I always liked sitting at a bar alone hanging on my phone.
Iv'e had some of the most amazing times going out alone and meeting total strangers. I have also gotten into some very dodgy situations, mainly because I don't have a stop button. I'm the first to arrive and the last to leave.
Barry James itâs actually easier to meet chicks/ppl alone at a bar and hop around different bars rather than with a wingman.

I Love Drag Bars!
My first time in Drag was at the 40 Watt Club in Athens, Ga. (Where R.E.M. got their start). I was with a mixed group of friends and the girls decided that they were going to dress up all of the guys for the club. Long story short, I ended up winning Miss Heinous 1999 at that club!
I had an absolute blast!
That night opened my mind to a lot of possibilities about life and what I was brought up to believe. It also opened my mind to learning more about myself. That was 20 years ago and I am 52 now. Far less of a party person, but with so many stories that I can hardly remember.

I haven't been to one since the pandemic began, but during the "before time" I used to visit a couple different bars on the way to or from other events (such as a concert, play, or social gathering). But the bar scene in the east coast, whose cities have decent transit and tend to be walkable, is quite different from anything in L.A., which is strictly a car city. So how did you get around? Did you hire an Uber or Lyft?

I travelled a lot so im pretty comfortable going to bars alone, it takes time but i have a way of making friends wherever i go, i just introduce myself and start a conversation, or play pool with a random, and it just goes on from there, its actually kind of fun going somewhere knowing nobody and ending the night having made new friends
