- This past summer I spent the month of July living out of a car in Iceland and seeing as much of the country as possible while enjoying the midnight sun. When you think of Iceland, most people picture cold, windy, and dark (which a large part of my trip was). But I wanted to capture the beauty of what summer in Iceland can really feel like, when the sun peeks through the clouds and lights up the landscape. I experienced endless waterfalls, massive glaciers, rugged coastlines and both lush and barren mountains in the highlands. This was hopefully my first of many Iceland trips to come. All drone footage was shot on the DJI Mavic 3 Cine in ProRes 422 HQ and edited in Davinci Resolve.

I know it's been awhile since I have posted on here! I spent the full month of July in Iceland shooting. Then the actual editing process for this project was almost two months in the making. From sorting through 20+ hours of footage, to learning davinci resolve from scratch, editing, color grading, sound design etc.. Very excited to finally be putting this one out. Thanks for all the continued support on my work. It really does mean alot!
Man, I have been to Iceland this summer too, late July to early August and it was amazingly beautiful, best trip of my life. I did the full Landammanalaugar hike just like you all the way from Skogar. I dont know how you managed to get those colors on those shots, but it looks even better than in reality, so impressive ! I went also to Jokulsarlon but could not go on the glacier (your shots are amazing on this part, from the lake the ice was not that impressive) and on the Mulagljlufur canyon, and I was so happy to see your footage cause its not that well known and just out of this world, deserved to be showcased ! The "texture part" in your video left me speechless, looks like a painting... Anyways, outstanding content, the music was dope too, really emphasized the "imposing" effect that Iceland has on you ! Btw, if you have the opportunity to go there again you MUST go to Hornstrandir. I wont add anything just see for yourself ;)

@@redart7151 Sounds like you had a great trip as well! Completely agree that Mulagljlufur canyon is a super underrated spot. I was suppose to go to Hornstrandir on my last few days but they had a huge storm hit that area of the coast. Already planning another trip back haha.

That was insane 👌. Gotta appreciate the amount of work and time you put into this. The shots themselves, the color grading, timing with the music, separate recorded audio like the waves...all of it. Awesome job on this one man.
Let alone the storage space he had to have to record this much in 5k! Absolutely mind blowing stuff for a SINGLE MAN. This guy is doing stuff that full production teams struggle to pull off.

This is amazing! You got as close to doing Iceland justice as I've ever seen. Ive been there twice and its hard to capture what it truly feels like to be there. Wow!! Black volcanic soil every place there aren't shades of green like I've never seen. The glacier's dragon skin with millenia-old pockets of air trapped in the wrinkled and freckled ice. Basalt postpiles that go on forever leading us to areas where waterfalls are squeezed from solid rock. Thank you for sharing your very hard filming and post-production. Well-earned kudos!
