As a Newcastle fan I also should be happy for you going down for a second time in a row but I don’t. Many Sunderland folks sent me prayers and letter when they heard my daughters cancer even tho they know I am toon through and through. No one should have to endure it twice in a row. Don’t drop a third time because that might doom the whole club which would be a shame for a team with passionate fan base like yours.

When Blaclpool (PNE's rivals) where promoted to the premiership , we also sank in relegation to league 2 , this was a very bad moment in PNE history , now sure we expected a load of shit coming our way in banter from the scum , but they went a step to far , you see they couldn't just enjoy their own success they had to get dirty and personal with my beloved club and rub salt in wounds that should have been left alone and respected , you see when football fans forget the passion they have for their club is also the same passion that all true fans have for their club is the very moment they have substituted respect for pure disrespect , if they fail to respect what they themselves want respect for then it's over for them , the fine line has been crossed .
Any fan that comes to our turf and wears their shirt with passion i will respect the badge whether i like it or not , treat us with respect and you will be granted free will to parade your team all you want , that's football and after all there is nothing better than showing off your beloved badge & colours at away games or simply when you visit other places in the country,
As a football fan i had to respect the achievement of our arch rivals , PNE fans had to bite down hard on the chomp and eat humble pie for several years , you see we always had the better of our rivals throughout recent history, we always let them remember that we were the team always in the higher division , we niggled at their every failure and then then all of a sudden bang , Blackpool hit the jackpot and we got relegated , they were 3 divisions higher than us, this was a horrible situation for us but we had to bitterly applaud our enemy.
Lets cut the chase , Blackpool went bankrupt , had 3 relegations , and their owner became a convicted pedo , now the fans boycott every home game until their club is finally released by the proud owners the Oystons. Do i take joy in this misfortune that has come upon my arch rivals ??? , nope i actually feel sorry for them , they are finished as a club financially , they are ruined. There was no reason what so ever for them to collapse , yet they collapsed.
You see when you take joy in other peoples misfortune whilst gloating in your own fortune you lose all sense of humility , and that is where karma brings some humble pie for you to eat.
You had us beat Blackpool , you achieved what we can only dream of doing , we were jealous of you , we hated you but respected you at the same time , you were entitled to let us remember on a daily basis that you were now the superior team , you had the best of us and we knew it .
And then you fucked it up , i mean really fucked it up ,
I guess the moral of this incredible bed time story is , everyone is entitled to have a laugh in life , but don't become a dick head.

im a sunderland fan too mate and i was there today and it was shocking, nothing like the last few weeks performance wise. the last goal wasn't handball mcnair had shirt tugged at back post and was brought down it hit him in the back not the arm. the linesman and ref both gave the goal until the burton players started complaining

Forest fan here. Have been in your position not all that long ago and I really do feel your pain - as grim as the championship can be it’s a frigging utopia compared to League One.
I won’t say I hope you bounce straight back as that may not be altogether realistic, but I do hope that you guys get the mater and pater of all overhauls so that when you do come back up, you’ll be that proud footballing outfit from the northeast again, rather than the desolate shell that you are now.
At the very least, you will be competitive in the third tier and can restore some of the enjoyment to football which seems to have been lost from the SoL. That could be more beneficial to you in the long run than plodding along in the lower half of the championship like we’ve been doing for the past five seasons.
p.s. If you end up playing Notts County next season, please kick fuck out of them to remind them that they’re still far and away the second best team in Nottingham.

One of the most enjoyable seasons I have experienced is when Birmingham won the old third division under Barry Fry, massive away followings every match, great atmospheres, and we won all the time. Don't get too miserable.

I may be a Newcastle fan but it is good to finally come across a Sunderland fan who says it as it is and is not into the delusional, clutching at straws hyper-optimism that most, it not all, of my mackem mates are into. I'm not saying that being optimistic is a bad thing but it's a good to keep an open mind as to what is realistically expected of the club.Also nice to see a Sunderland fan has supports Coleman, sad to see so many turn against him when the squad quality is awful along with a terrible owner who didn't want to reinvest the large sums of money received from selling Pickford and being in the Premier league (TV deal) last year.

As a Newcastle fan, I should feel fantastic bout this, but I just can’t help but feel so sorry for you guys. You guys are some of the most passionate fans out there, which I honestly respect immensely, and to see a club as big as Sunderland in such a state really is tragic. You should have been able to bounce back immediately, but you’ve been held back by a shite manager, a tactfully blind owner, and players who couldn’t give two shits about getting their foot on the ball. Wonder how long it will take to get back to the PL. A couple clubs have shown how hard it is to bounds back from back to back relegation earlier (Leeds). Its not been the most fun as a United fan since Fergie left, but it puts stuff into perspective.

A feel like next season we should come back up. Coleman was given no money to save us. We’ve had to rely on young kids. We have made 17 goalkeeper errors this season. If we sort the defence out and get a good keeper we should be alright. The defence is better under Coleman but the keepers are worse since he’s had to swap them in and out. Players like McNair, Gooch, Love, Honeyman, Asoro and Maja have shown promise this season. But fucking short saying that he thought he could run the club better than the consortium that were worth 34 billion and were ran by Stefan Fucking Schwartz.
