I find that my bank doesn’t have rolls of new quarters or even new 2022 quarters in any of their rolled coins. I find I can get brand new 2022 quarters at the car wash. Here in Central NY, the banks won’t let you get coins unless you have an account with them. They keep using the excuse that their is a coin shortage. I’ll purposely go to the store and buy something for $0.50 and give them a $5 bill and request change be in coins. I get creative to find coins. I’m also surprised at how many Pennie’s I find on the ground too! I’ve watched people just throw them out and I tell my kids, that’s one more penny you didn’t have when you got up this morning
Good man! You know where I've been almost routinely finding pre-65 silver, including several lovely Mercury dimes and a couple of those '42-45 silver "war nickels"? In those Coin Star coin counting machine rejects bins. I guess their slightly heftier weights throw them off. I first started looking at them whenever I went to the store about 10 years ago, just hoping for the odd foreign coin to give my son. But I kept also finding really good old stuff too. The weirdest was just about a week ago, when I spotted a little stack of coins, not in that rejects bin, but right on the shelf. Along with a Canadian dime and a 5 Euro cent was a lovely '43 S Mercury Dime. Someone had just left that there. Imagine the utter lack of curiosity that requires. It's like those freakish appearances of a Barber half or a Buffalo nickel in those coin roll hunts of recent bank-rolled rolls. Who the devil would spend a Barber half or Buffalo nickel in this millennium? I could understand a silver quarter or a Roosevelt Dime sneaking into circulation, but a Barber?! How does that even happen? I swear some people are just sleepwalking.
@@BilgemasterBill Most people could give a crap about coins. I do not know why that surprises you. Coin collecting requires hours of study and even more “searching “ hours. You do it because you like it. Few people actually make money if you figure in their time.
One more thing, I used to pick up Pennie’s, now I throw them on ground if for reason I get one since cash is dead and all I use to pay for anything is my phone.

For those of us who have never sold on eBay we would love to see a "how to" specific to say selling rolls...meaning packing, weighing, labeling, shipping (like how many rolls can I ship in on first class package, or when do you pivot to flat rate)? How does the tracking work, etc.
I have eBay account and I never sold shit on it and I tried to once but if you don't have the numbers of people who actually viewed your post and had transactions in good standing then you don't even get a glance cause I have been trying to just sell straight up raw coins not graded and if they want it graded then they can pay for it and right now I in a bad need of a certain amount of money to get what needs accomplished and in a narrow time frame but I don't get no one but people who are just being a smart ass and wanting to get what they are wanting at the cheapest possible. But I ain't going let no one use the fact of the needing fast cash quick and for it actually going to be used to get Three families mobile homes moved to the new lot that is actually for people who are unable to get the money and not a bit of help with it through the government programs and State programs cause they say that they can use the money for doing that it's actually supposed to be used for moving expenses and that is a actually is a moving expenses and think that they tell people who are elderly disabled people and with mental health issues and I done emptied my assets to help and needing just 3 thousand dollars for the last part. But hell while they might be living in a tent on the lots and all their stuff just setting out in weather but it's not no one problem but theirs and mine I guess
@@matthewmiller6418 yeah, i had the same experience at 1st. But what you could do is start by selling other items..like u said the point of Ebay is "feedback" . You have to get to a certain point bfor ppl will take u seriously. And never start off by selling something expensive bcuz there are Ebayer's who only look for 1st time sellers and they'll screw u over on some small detail knowing they can post a negative feedback and then you'll have to start all over with a new account.

I got back into CRH a year before COVID and have probably have purchased well over 350 sealed boxes of coins from cents to dollars since. From 3 different banks and close to 10 different branches and have only received 1 box of uncirculated coins (cents)in all that time. I live 1 hour from both Philadelphia and New York City. Sounds easy, but unless you have a relative working in a bank it is not going to happen. And I buy my tellers crazy amounts of food in my pickup banks.
My local banks (BofA) claims most of the time that they don't have coins. I would be lucky if I got few rolls. I also have a business account with them too. Coin shortage is still a concern to this day.

The local banks (BofA) in south Calif I deal with most of the time claim they have a limited amount of coins. I'd be very lucky if the teller gives me some coins even though I have a business account with them. There is a shortage of coins to this day.
Just think what they'd be saying if the mint omitted IN GOD WE TRUST.
It was a big deal when mint “forgot” - In God We Trust motto from first presidential dollar coins.

Im newish to understanding coin collecting but have been holding on to what I believe to be cool coins for as far bck as I can remember (I'm 57) and decided cple yrs ago to get more passionate about it, so i started buying rolls of all denominations including half and whole silver dollars and i thought there was going to be a coin shortage before there was and I just have to say I love you idea of a "side hustle"❤️ thank you been following you more re than a yr now. I have obtained a coin hoard…this person doesn’t spend any change and has been keeping all change for a couple years. There are POUNDS! Of quarters,dimes,nickels and Pennys! Hi Shaun. I had to look back at your videos I missed and found this one. But I wanted to say I remember back when you mentioned we should go into Our banks and other banks to get rolls. These Tellers were looking at me like I had two heads lol 😂 They were asking me so many questions and this was from my own bank. Then going to other banks it was like playing twenty questions it was ridiculous. Therefore needless to say I have no idea how to get rolls out of these banks. Thank you for your awesome advice 🥰

He is right! I wanna say I just started doing this not even 3 months ago. Sent my friend out. Came back with old and newer coins. Found 5 wheat pennies some with errors (still learning what errors are called what) new 2022 quarters. I'm still trying to find some of these errors on channels like this. Some of these errors are crazy stupid 🤪. I never knew money could look that messed up. I've got some from banks but most from gas stations and stores that will trade me paper money for rolls in their till. Tip- buy a magnifying unit so you can see errors you might not see with the naked eye or if your blind like me your gonna need one. Some errors just stick out like a sore thumb. I'm not out selling anything but that's just me. I just think it's really neat, cool, awesome to find some errors that you can't find on social media. Chi miigwech again for your videos.

I picked up a box of nickels (two silver, one buffalo, blank planchet and some weird possible error 64) last night. My bank is pretty easy about getting boxes unless they’re out of boxes.
What is the nf??? I'm in AL I will start looking this week for you and gathering for myself. Should I collect now 2022 an hold on to the rolled coins to sell when the quality control and inspection is up. Will profit margin be greater at that time?
Thumb's Up! You've given me lots to think about. As you probably know, this latest kerfuffle about Washington turning his back on God in the "In God We Trust" motto isn't the first time the motto, or lack of it on coinage, has caused a controversy. When those first lovely 1907 high relief St. Gaudens $20 double eagles came out they lacked the motto at then President Theodore Roosevelt's request. Teddy sincerely thought the phrase on currency cheapened the deity. Eventually the mint relented though, and the motto was added. There's a pretty fair Wikipedia article describing the history of the motto, which has only been on any US coin since the 1864 2 cent piece, and that 1907 incident, including Roosevelt's well-stated rationale. Personally, I'd have to agree with you that this latest "controversy" about the new quarters is just stupid.

Don't care where they are looking, I go to 2 banks, yes I have an account, at both,I have people at,the local market,they save me the new quarters, and the local,he station,all 4 people who work there,save me every thing! The banks that I belong to, have at least 4 branches each, within 4 miles! I am blessed!

I see a lot of comments about Bank of America saying they don't have coins to hand out. I would say that may be the case with that bank, because BoA is my DROP bank, and I just dumped a ton of quarters on them, to which they were very appreciative because they said they could not get them. However, my very small bank (like less than 20 branches) is able to get coins pretty much any time they want. I am wondering if the larger banks have to split up resources among many branches, and that may be the cause of their particular woes. I would suggest looking for the "smaller" regional type banks in your area and going there to ask for rolls. It might help, who knows. Thanks BRSH 🐶

Hi Sean I just procured 10 N.F. String & Son Wilma Mankiller rolls from Southern AL. Because I heard you say the other day to get ahold of the N.F. String & Son Rolls. I just put them on eBay yesterday and I've got them at $54.99/roll with $5 shipping so essentially $60/roll however, I'm not a heartless or greedy person and I genuinely love what you do and love learning from you since I'm relatively an infant still in this hobby I love so that said, reach out to me in some discreet way and I'll def do what you think is fair. I'm the type that idealistically or not, wants to treat people the way I want to be treated So within reason you quote me and I'll keep my word you can get up to 10 of the rolls I'm willing to let go of. That was my roll of nickels that sold for $9.99! I get rolls of quarters everyday, ( my favorite! Easy to look at,) from a different bank that I rotate through about 6 banks and always end up getting other rolls or packs of currency, I chit chat with all the tellers, they all know me now, each bank has different rules and times that they can or can't do stuff, most are telling me , we have this for you this week in the vault if you're interested! Some I show pictures of what to look for and what I'm looking for and how much they sold for to get them excited about it. You don't have to make up stories of why you are asking for rolls, some banks I don't say anything, just let them think it's for my business.

I went to Bank of America the other day and asked for rolls of quarters and they told me they don’t have any change. Can you believe that?
My Eastern Bank branch told me the same thing with one cents.
Especially with BOA they are one of the top 3 banks that have a really bad reputation.

I just started researching and taking coins out of circulation well the new coins I've been had a penny bank and the new coins made me get a coin album and I've already have a lot of coins from the new state collection and I have a lot from the old 99-08 collection and the women collection too. It's fun to me and they look so pretty in the coin album

I’ve been saving all my coins now for the past few years and just lately I’ve seen some state quarters that I’ve never seen before. People who are struggling with no money are using their saved pocket change because that’s all they have. I look forward to getting coins every time I buy something now. Not often do you see wheat pennies but lately I’ve gotten quite a few.

I'm having trouble selling anything on eBay I put up for auctions and get an offer then accept and never get paid so I posted a obw roll 2022 salyride quarters and have no offers what am I doing wrong still learning all this
I know for certain , but have no proof no pun intended. That the mints intentionally create markets within the market for their products. 2005 P 2005 D were awful for business strike coins. That year they had special satin finish strikes sold seperately which apparently took all their time , and left the BS coins in poor quality. 1959 mule die DD a very neat DD I might add. 1909 the previous transition saw its oopsies with the V.D.B initials. 82-83 I'm not typing all that. These are apart from the quadrupling on some Dollars and half dollars how I knew for sure was when someone found a 90 or 99 cent with a wheat back. I'm not going to comment further on that. Where my initial suspicion began was when I learned of some coins with the other guy's mint mark . Every year has some kind of sought after error in some denomination from some mint . At some point it becomes more than just flukes. I gotta get back to weighing my 83' pennies c'mon 3.0gs
