- 10 years have passed since I uploaded my UTAU Teto cover of this song, and just the other day it finally hit 1 million views on CZcams. I was so excited for Teto's SynthV bank to come out, and I'm happy I finally got to use it! Her SynthV voice and UTAU voice both have their own unique aspects to them, which I think is wonderful. It's been a long time and it's a bit of a different tone to it, but I hope you'll all enjoy a full version of this cover finally.
I've been really busy with life and my freelance work, but I want to still continue uploading things. Just might take me a long time!

Teto's come a long way.
From what was originally an April Fools joke to a very powerful, high quality voice. She deserved this justice.

honestly i liked her old voice better... maybe its just nostalgia but it was just so different from everything else which was what i liked about it but now it just sounds so much more generic.

This is so incredible! I can't believe ten years have passed since your original cover. This version, she sounds so kind, like she's actually singing to someone dear, like she's making a promise. The power of the old cover is still very impressive, it just carries a different tone. I hope you get to make more covers, kyaami, because they're always amazing. I got goosebumps hearing this one. If you revisit anything, I really hope you re-cover heavenly star with Eleanor's new AI bank, because even the quality improvements of the synthv engine I think would take it to the next level.

But seriously, this is fantastic. Your realistic tuning has always impressed me Kyaami and this is no exception! I love how different Synth-V Teto sounds here compared to the Utau cover. Both sound great though!
this song really does have Teto energy... it's so amazing how far she's come, from an April fools joke, to Miku symphony as an UTAU, to actually getting a professional, paid voice bank... Teto truly is an amazing story

I cannot believe I was only 15 years old when the OG cover came out holy hell has it really been that long? Both you and Teto have come such a long way.
重音テトsvが発売されてからutauのテトは過去のもの、svこそが本物だという流れに違和感があり、あまりsvを好きになれませんでした。
でもこのカバーを聴いて、姿形が変わろうとどちらも私の好きな重音テトであると再認識させてくれました。ありがとう。

ただ率直な本音を言うと、Cilliaさんは元々調教うますぎて、新時代のボカロを使うよりも、かつてのボカロを歌わせる方がより魅力的だなあとも思ってしまった。
昔からcilliaさんには「無機質なボーカロイドにこんなに感情を込めることができるのか…」っていう感動をもらってたから、個人的にこのカバーに限っては技術の進化がむしろマイナスに働いてしまった😂

実は私もその事に対して賛成です。SynthVのAIボイスを使うと一瞬で人間らしさできてますが、逆にその理由で調整の楽しさがちょっと失っちゃいます。もちろんAIツールを使わずに調整するのは可能ですが、ツールを使えば色々楽になって使いたくなってしまいますね…AIの進化に対して納得するには難しい所かもしれません！最初からボカロなどにハマった理由は人間の声ではなかったという事でしたし、これからも機会ある時にボカロを使い続けたいです。😋
またvy1v4が聴きたい

Music major here. Amazing use of the throaty resonance that so few voicebanks actually have developed into them (Teto does). Your sense of style and artistic choices are almost disturbing, because I can't say I've had many experiences listening to UTAU and FORGOT that this is a synth.
Thank you for your hard work on something so elaborate and striking! You are a wonderful musician and I constantly look up to your work for my own performance practice.
What is the throaty resonance?
@@alex-8736 This is hard to explain in a youtube comment. Consider googling "throat voice vs forward voice" videos. Classically speaking, a throaty sound is incorrect, but in pop, "throaty" is often associated with a vocal placement that can be used to convey emotion, sincerity, and the singer's ability as well as their very vocal anatomy. Common usage would be in pop, jazz, or anything else outside of classical vocals.
To exemplify, try swallowing water, saliva, or another liquid while humming. This "closed-off" feeling would be considered a "throaty" resonance. To contrast this, try first saying (or singing) the first vowel sound of "call". Continue saying "call" and begin to change your vowel towards that of the first syllable of "calorie". If you are able, continue to change the vowel even further, and exaggerate the new vowel to the point as to where it sounds "broadway", "ugly", or "shouty". These are polar opposite vowels on anyone's spectrum of throaty vs forward. If you are able, take any vowel from the first exercise and try to change it to become like the vowel in the second.
Teto's throatiness is well navigated; so well navigated that I think that kyaami/cilia has the equivalent of an x-ray of Teto's vocal anatomy! I wonder how hard it was to obtain such a sincere, human sound.

There is many reasons why I love Teto. One of them bring how much she’s grown. Created as a joke and treated as such, it was leaned into. Now it feels as if people are taking her voice seriously. And honestly call it cringe or whatever, but I feel very simalar. I’ve always been somebody to laugh at, to never be taken seriously. It’s lead to a lot of negative self thinking. But I know that I have wonderful qualities. I deserve to be someone who is considered. Im done being the butt of a joke. :3

I'm really happy you chose this song as your debut Teto AI song. It's powerful, it's story fits her, and it's also the song I've heard the least good covers of for whatever reason. You've been an inspiration to me as a beginning SynthV user, and hearing how you tune Teto . . . you capture that "Teto" essence with the choppy voice glitches, yet her vibrato, her ease of transitions, it all goes to show how far she's come. この歌を聴いて懐かしさで涙が出ました。重音テトは最初日本のインターネットでおもちゃとして作られた空想のものでした。しかし、みんなが想定してたものよりもクオリティが高くなってしまい、実用化に至りました。昔は途切れ途切れの彼女の声がこんなにも綺麗に聴けると思わなかった。ボーカロイドによって世界が繋がることをとても嬉しく思います。
