- Crazy scary video of a cruise ship fighting monster waves in a big cyclone storm out at sea! These storms can be a scary experience for the passengers on board. The damage the ship sustained during this storm were repaired and nobody was injured.

This is one of my greatest fears actually, getting on one of these ships and then encountering a ferocious ocean

Went a western Caribbean Cruise and had much bigger waves. Everyone was drunk and everyone got sick, but had a blast!!!

The chairs in the dining room were not even moving from their settings. Not a bad storm, just a bit of heavy seas.

I would for sure get severe motion sickness from that! I once experienced motion sickness while just walking through a skyscraper (and no I'm not even kidding lol). Can't imagine being on this ship in that sort of weather!

We sailed through a small intense storm on a Royal Caribbean ship and it was exciting and I still felt very safe.
@@tiddlesa.6125 That must have been so cool. I have a small boat and I live on the ocean but the boat is really too small to venture out at sea. I feel if I go looking for it, I may have bad luck, but I would like to experience massive waves.... against my will of coarse...haha
@@shaunmcinnis566 The larger ships have stabilisers, like big wings, which sometimes you can actually feel them working against the waves. It was exciting to experience the intensity of momma nature but know everything is ok. Not like the ancient mariners who risked their lives every moment.

I did one cruise my whole life never again. Not weather related . I met a couple having dinner her hubby said he was goin to take a nap.So he left his wife there alone with me. We had drinks . Now she takes advantage of me.

Красиво. И страшно. Если это туристический теплоход, то такая погодка к размеренному отдыху отношения не имеет. Всегда удивляет, как речные и морские круизные компании в рекламе давят на размеренность, спокойствие, когда в плохую погоду, а ее фиг угадаешь, все эти эпитеты растворяются и отдых превращается в волнение и даже страх для туристов. Хорошо тем, кто изначально любит экстрим.🙂

I love cruise ships but this is one of my fears. Bad weather at sea.
RESPECT THE SEA. EVEN BRAVE CAPTAINS COMMANDING MONSTER SHIPS SHOULD DO SO. THEORITICALLY UNSINKABLE BUT YOU WILL FACE A LARGE NUMBER OF DAMAGES INTERNALLY AND MANY POOR GUESTS WILL GET INJURED. ALL THE PARAMETERS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED DEPENDS THE SITUATION AND AFTER LOGICAL AND PROFESIONNAL CONCLUSION BETTER TO STAY IN PORT OR ALTER YOUR DESTINATION BECAUSE YOU MAY NOT REACH YOUR DESTINATION IN SAFE SIDE.
I just do not understand why the catering staff don't put all the glass and fine china away when they know there is going to be a storm.

That sea is not bad. The ship is just rolling and pitching a bit. I have seen some wild weather and that was nothing. Ex seaman.
Yeah but that's like a boxer saying the other guy didn't hit that hard, it's a different story if it's an 85 year old grandmother taking the punches. These people were tourists on vacation, seniors unable to walk unassisted, kids, enough that never set foot on open water before and would find this extreme. You don't sign up for a fitness class to be put in the ring with Mike Tyson, I don't think any of them expected they'd be brought into a tropical cyclone on a paid pleasure cruise.

"...moster waves.... and big cyclone..." ....no sorry that is just rubbish. It that was the case the sea would appear totally different. There are hardly a single white capped wave. That is hardly a small gale. The problem isn't the weather. But rather the use of such a small ship like in this case .... those have nothing out in the open sea to do. Secondly the person who came with the statement of "monster waves" has obviously no idea what he is talking about and has probably never been to sea befor....
