I used to love watching Barry Norman. Rewatching him now I can see why, he took the subject matter very seriously and asked intelligent questions where you learned something about the person he was interviewing. I wish we had someone like him doing film programmes now, there’s nothing wrong with irreverence but there is a place for seriousness too.

Doesn't an interview with Deniro warrant an actual segment that shows the interview without deliberate distractions? I think deniro may be more polished, these days when it comes to staged interviews, and that's all they are. But judging by this interview they deliberately filled and interrupted with needless distractions and the legendary previous one with barry (try finding it) Deniro can't act for interviews. Noodles.
