Usually, his voice doesn't catch my attention much or I'm just not that moved by it compared to like Baek, Kyungsoo, etc.
BUT in this album in particular, I really love his parts in the songs. He did a great job.

In my 6 years of listening to various kpop groups (I'm seriously an epitome of a multifandom stan lol), I've listened to so many different albums from so many artists and I have to say that Exo have one of the best, if not THE best discography in all of kpop. I keep coming back to all of their albums and I never have to skip because there's no song (even ballad) that bores me to the point that I need to skip. They also have best harmonies in their songs, they just sound perfect together. Also, their vocal line is so damn strong. Baekhyun is my favorite kpop vocalist, I could listen to him all day every day. Exo has no "filler" B sides in their albums, all songs that they put have a purpose and are worthy of listening on repeat. So many groups nowadays have a lot of those "filler" songs that don't fit the album at all and aren't interesting. Exo has consistency when it comes to high quality albums. I hope they're gonna stay in this kpop world for a long time because I know for a fact that I won't get tired of them any time soon!

I really wish they get more attention.. cuz what they are getting isn't nearly enough for the Level of Talent, presence, persona, Quality, n uniqueness they are offering...
I wonder if world knows about EXO, cuz if they did, then they would be going crazy over such talent, ..these kind of well rounded artists are Extremely Rare to come across.. in decades, ...and once they fade away with time, people regret, not being there to witness such Artists.

All songs in the Obsession album perfectly fits to their concept EXO and X-EXO.. Although Obsession song is not a public fav, the whole album is unique.. even the songs progress from X-EXO to EXO if u check the details of lyrics.. the Album Starts with Obsession and Ends with Butterfly Effect.. Obsession ended with the lyrics 'Get away from me' and Butterfly Effect ended with the lyrics "Don't leave me'' which shows the songs progress from X-EXO to EXO ,meanings of the songs were changed.. and the particular song Jekyll is also unique because it has both EXO and X-EXO inside the song because the transition of the song is like slow and smooth to strong and agressive with means the collision between X-EXO and EXO

Chanyeol's vocals are insane and so underrated. I'm pretty sure he joined SM to be a vocalist but then started focusing more on rap later on. The other members have even joked about him taking their vocalist roles. He's so talented it's crazy

Chanyeol's singing voice is honestly something beautiful, rich, and pure. The OBSESSION album is honestly one of the better albums that EXO has put out. It sounds beautiful to me, and there really isn't a bad song on the album.

Exo can do anything at this point in their career. They're so talented and try out different things that it brings me joy to listen to their music. Obsessesion is such a well thought-out album with songs switching from x-exo to exo. Not to be biased, but they make the best music in kpop. I agree with day after day, but even that song I can enjoy because of their incredible vocals. I seriously think their music is always top tier.

This whole album is a GEM! Everytime I listen to Obsession my favourite song changes. I think it depends on mood but I'm always up for listening to all the songs in Obsession, has no skips! All EXO albums really have no skips but I feel like Obsession is on another level, idk how EXO just keeps topping their albums it's amazing really! the songs that I would call my fave that I definitely look forward fo listening in Obsession are Baby You Are & Butterfly Effect

This album really is the best of all time for me. Every song is superior. When you started comparing Gravity with Butterfly Effect ... I was just overwhelmed, we knew Gravity is your most favorite EXO song of all time but I'm so happy, this is the proper recognition Butterfly Effect deserves.

I really love this album! It's right up there with DMUT for me. And yeah, Butterfly Effect doesn't quite beat Gravity for me, but it's a close second (well, I also love Peter Pan....yeah, I know). So, Jekyll, Baby You Are, Groove, and Butterfly Effect are my super loves on this album. But I like every song!!! EXO just CAN'T make a bad song/album, in my opinion.
I really love to watch someone enjoying the music of the group I love, and actually you remind me how I love this album so so much, I also like how with every album you pick a new favorite song, that shows a group that changes and grows, getting better and better.

I've been waiting for this EXO Obsession album listening party, and now I'm so glad PD's been able to finally upload it, despite the challenges. The moment I saw your post saying it is one of the greatest albums you've ever heard, I felt thrilled and really honored - as an EXO fan and as someone who just loves music in general. I love how you're open to different genre, though at first you weren't not into EXO's discography since you said you're not into R&B. But dang!!!! As Mark said in 7th Sense 'It is a long ass ride' for you, PD!

i honestly was so confused and baffled that so many people disliked this album when it came out when i think it's one of the greatest album anyone has ever released. i am still listening to all the songs every single day ever since it came out and i am mind blown by every single one of them repeatedly. a true masterpiece and we couldn't expect any different coming from exo
wow many people didn't like it ?? This album got me into Exo and I bought it even though I'm not an exoL.. I think it's solid. I also realized that it's the most ambitious album that SM put out in 2019.

The more i listene to this album the more i love it, i remember when it first came out i was lukewarm about it, but after a few listens i became obsessed with it. I have to say that my top 3 songs are: 3/ Butterfly effect: i don’t know how to explain the feelings it ignites but its all about nostalgia and because I’ve been with these guys for the last 7 years it just makes me reminisce all the times I’ve been with them. 2/ Obsession: i love how it is weirdly addicting and the flow to it is just amazing, totally EXO’s best title song. 1/ Groove: this song is just a masterpiece, it is so unique and so enticing i can never get tired of listening to it, their voices are purely heavenly and good lord the rap part is just the cherry on top, not to mention the blend of the flute and their voices which was a genius idea. My reaction was pretty much the same as yours, with the exception of trouble which was not really my vibe, although I like how it fits the theme of the album. It's hard for me to pick a favorite song though.. they are very different and hit different spots 😅 but I really enjoy listening to the album
