@@ethernetify Yes he made millions in the UFC but most of his money came from Boxing Floyd and proper 12 whiskey. The UFC don't pay 99% of fighters well at all. Francis made more in 1 boxing match than what Jon Jones has made in his whole career.

I’ve been saying this about Conor for years. He hinted it back at the cowboy fight. The UFC is more responsible for Conor’s record than Conor. He was complaining about inactivity before he fought cowboy. He’s a victim of his own popularity. The UFC won’t put him with just any fighter. He had to beg for a fight when he fought Dustin. When Conor was at his peak he was the most active fighter by a mile averaging 4 to 5 times a year. That’s just facts.
Conor wants a main event, and the UFC won't give him one. Poor Chandler 😭

Imo UFC promotion has only gotten better. Connor is THE star. But now a days we have Alex, Izzy, Strickland, Suga. A lot of stars. Hes not the only one who gets THAT spot anymore. Either way man. I hope the southpaw comes back.

It’s a combo of timing, Conor losing all motivation because of fame and success and fear of losing what is left of his aura.

Thinking about it. He had those camps like you mentioned, maybe during one or both of those camps he didn’t like how he felt on that leg or maybe even got hurt somewhere or rehurt the leg. If it’s related to an injury or illness, it makes sense we haven’t been told wtf is going on.
Connor wants to fight out his contract so he can go box without giving up a percentage to the ufc. Dana ain't letting that happen. That's why he's not fighting.

Conor seems to genuinely want to fight. He loves the sport. Chandler obviously wants the fight. I'm sure Dana would love for that fight to happen. I don't think it's a money issue either. Conor likes competing/performing too much to price himself out like that - I think it's that he can't pass a drug test, and I'm not talking about performance enhancers. He wants to fight but won't give that up for 6 months, Dana can't let him fight unless he does...thoughts? I'm having a hard time thinking of what else it could be holding him up
Connor doesn't need to keep fighting. He made his money, his hunger is sated. He was great early on because he was coming from poverty, he was hungry. It's what I call 'away from' motivation vs 'towards' motivation. He was motivated to escape his struggle and was willing to battle the world to climb out of the muck. It wasn't about moving towards something in particular he just set out with enough self belief and nothing to lose and did all he could to go as far away from where he began as he could. I doubt that he ever had a vision beyond winning. And he won and started to base his self belief on the contingency that he kept winning. I think it ate him up when he started losing. He had more success than he truly believed he could have. But he lost something along the way. I don't think any success will have meaning until he finds a new purpose outside of being a fighter, something he couldn't find in boozing and drugging. Maybe that purpose is fatherhood. Maybe not.
He didn't come from poverty, before his UFC debut his parents bought a house in laracon, lucan, Dublin. Then houses are about 750k euro now. Source.. I live about 5 minutes away from there

My mother owns a middle class home but I've never ask for or received a dime from her and I was raised by my father living below the poverty line in my country. Was I living in the middle class because my mom was? Nope. Has Connor publicly stated that he was living on the dole while training to be a professional fighter? Yes he has.

I don’t think he’s a co main event. There’s not another bigger star than Conor atm. I think it’s due to his opponent being Chandler. No one wants to see two guys on a losing streak especially an overdue fight. You can set as that main event if it was Geathje Or Oliveira easily

Chael, you misread this one...Love the channel by the way...Here's whats happening.Dana knows Conner has one maybe two bullets left to shoot and he doesn't want to waste one on Mike. Now, he gave Mike and all of us his word that Mike and Conner are next. Dana values his word more than literally everything else in his life. But he can make soooo much more money with a Diaz or Khabib or Islam or Poirier or even Colby fight...Mike is great but the Conner/Chandler numbers would be a drop in the bucket compared to any of those...Also, Dana wants to save those bullets to fire when he's negotiating his next broadcasting deal...So, Dana wants to go back on his word but he absolutely cannot be seen doing it. So he is waiting until Chandler gives up hope and takes another fight. He can be like "Mike I want you next but it just doesnt look like Connor wants to fight you. I wouldnt blame you if you took another fight while you are waiting"...Also, Chandler would probably hurt Conner and make him look bad. So he's trying to stall them out in hopes that Chandler just moves on and Dana comes out of it with his word still intact. Either way stalling is a win-win-win for him. Watch, you will see I'm right and in 3 or 4 months Chandler asks for another fight and the spell is broken. Thats whats happening here brother...Love the site BTW

The very first sentence spoke about Connor is 1000% facts......Times have changed.
Not a McGregor fan but tbh, I can't blame him. Many great athletes have in the past gained so much success and then they lose their hunger. Mike Tyson, Ronaldinho, Adesanya, Usman are just some examples. In fact I can confidently say that McGregor lost motivation right after his fight with Floyd. That bout with Floyd made him at least 50 million dollars. Dude is set for life. He's not the guy struggling on welfare anymore. It's a dangerous sport so if he decides to retire then good for him. Conor McGregor has won in life.

I think if the return to MMA was included in the biography they filmed on him, he would have fought at least one more relevant fight. Michael Chandler is not a relevant fight; one of the Khabib clones would be relevant. However, since they put an ending on that biography that gave/conceded some sort of resolution to the ending of that career, it is now a revival instead of a return, and it is competing with the fun of Hollywood and a world where everyone loves him and money is plentiful. Why go back to getting punched in the face? Why make the person you are fighting a multi-millionaire? They would suffer greater if you simply allowed them to continue their same life. Conor's done with MMA.
