More about Gianmarco:
Gianmarco Soresi is a stand-up comedian, actor, and a little too much for some people. He’s told jokes on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Comedy Central, Netflix’s Bonding, Don’t Tell, The Real Housewives of New York for some reason, and he was a JFL New Face in 2022. He’s acted in Billy Crystal’s Here Today, Hustlers, The Last OG, and in his theater days shared the stage with some people who’ve gone on to become huge real estate agents. You can see him post the kind of crowdwork clips that are arguably destroying the artform of stand-up comedy everywhere @gianmarcosoresi and he obviously has a podcast called The Downside with Gianmarco Soresi.🎤

What does it mean😢
You're only saying that because you din't want everyone to know that you don't understand it!
@@ilaymuchnikcops are often called pigs or similar.
I believe it refers to what people say about cops and how they are labelled as "let's say a specific animal that the Jewish tradition is not fond of people eating"

The laser security system Gianmarco navigated on this joke is second to none. Wow.
He had to try out all his material on his barber first.
A real CZJ up there.
Well put.
If I had any skills, I’d edit in the button prompts from the RE4 hallway QTE.

"People complain about the Jews so much, you know that they sound like, *the fuckin Jews."*
As a Jew, born and grown Jewish, that's damn hilarious
Israel is committing genocide. If you don't speak up then you are complicit.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 on point
i dont undertasnd this joke
@@marvin2678 The stereotype about Jews is that they complain too much.
So, the people always complaining about Jews sound like the stereotypical Jews.
As a Jewish Israeli Zionist, I agree that was hilarious.
As a Palestinian-American, I love you Gianmarco ♥️♥️ Jewish people critiquing Israel are incredibly brave. No culture and or religion should ever be hijacked by extremists. I have so much respect for you and all Jewish voices for peace
Jews were critiquing the Israeli government this whole time, there were giant protests before the war started. But the differences is, they’re not protesting on whether or not they have a right to exist as a nation and country. Everyone else seems to not agree if I have the right to exist or if my family has the right to exist.
Jewish voice for peace expressed little to no sympathy for innocent Jews and Israelis on October 7, I wouldn’t even be surprised if they were not Jewish. They do not represent Jews in the least bit, they are there to feed into anti Zionists hatred of Jews and Israel.
How are you a Palestinian American? Genuinely asking - How did you leave Palestine?
@@odeleya1768 It is really interesting you think the existence of Israel is tied to whether you think you or your family has a right to exist. Why do you tie your identity to a US/British colonial project from decades ago? It isn't like the existence of Israel makes Jewish people safer, as is often the claim on why it was created: you are infinitely safer in any of western countries that Jewish people leave to go to there. When a Brooklyn man moves the the West Bank and steals a Palestinian's home, what part of that is designed to keep you safe or "existing?"
The October 7th attack is having less and less sway over people, not because people aren't supposed to have sympathy for innocent civilians targeted by terrorists, but because how one-sided that analysis is. You can rightfully call Hamas a terrorist group, but not if you don't call the IDF one as well. Hamas' attack had 45% civilian death toll while the rest of those killed are deemed justifiable military targets. Israel's rate of death on civilian populations since then? In the 70-90% range depending on if you go with the UN numbers or those of Euro-Med Monitor. The Israeli government officials will proudly boast about bombing refugee camps, killing hundreds of people at a time, in hopes of taking out one terrorist. Someone they can't even confirm that they got.
There are no good guys here and you definitely shouldn't tie your "right to exist" to a bunch of war criminals. Israeli citizens have a right to exist! But Israel the country? Any country? Those exist through consent of the governed and don't have rights as if they were individual people. I'd care more about a government existing if they weren't an apartheid state committing genocide. Only democracy in the middle east my ass.
@@omaimaf9963 can you please tell me what you predict Hamas will do to Israelis IF they were to win the war? When all they talk about is destroying Israel and all they do is attack innocent Israelis, sometimes even their own people, what can you predict will happen if Israel doesn’t destroy them?
@@omaimaf9963 “apartheid” yet Arabs who have Israeli citizenship have the right to own land, vote and have seats in government? Can you point out any Jews living in Gaza right now? Those who aren’t hostages? And “colonial” as if Jews haven’t been repeatedly proven to be indigenous to the land and were there so many years before any Arab set foot in there?
And Israel’s goal isn’t to g*nocide Palestinians like it is Hamas‘s goal to g*nocide all Israelis. If Israel was g*nocidal, the war would’ve been over on October 8. Their main goal is to bring justice to those who k!lled, r*ped and kidnapped our people and bring them back home, whoever is still alive. Israel will try to get civilians out of the way but it’s not their fault when Hamas doesn’t let them move and hides behind them and make their schools and hospitals into t*rrorist HQ. Intent is entirely different, it’s not “g*nocide vs g*nocide”, it’s g*nocide vs justice.
I feel its obvious he is pro palestine which is incredibly relieving
i feel he expertly navigated this topic by implying hes pro palestine, while also pointing out that people are taking it too far and being antisemitic.
he is a great example that you can make jokes on heavy subjects and not actually be offensive.
I'm so relieved too. Idk whyyy. I was waiting to know his stance. My heart and head are lighter lol.
The problem is that most people take it to being anti-Semitic. And the rhetoric is extremely dangerous for a two state solution. From the river to the sea implies wiping out all Jews in Israel. And I'm sure it wouldn't stop there.
@@hannajasmin5289 i know why you're relieved, because it means he's not supporting genocide
its sad he cant actually say it though
I really don’t get why you guys expect comedians to somehow become politicians overnight. It’s not his job to give you his opinion and it’s not his job to even have an opinion. His job is to make you laugh. By expecting this from them, it ruins comedy for many people. Comedy is there to help people get away from it all and now you’re just reminding everyone the world is falling apart in middle of a set bc some people will cancel you if you don’t or they’ll cancel you if you don’t agree with them
As an Israeli, this really made me laugh. Things would be so much easier if we didn't have such stubborn leaders who only care about power. We want peace. Hopefully I can sit one day with my Palestinian neighbours and laugh about life.
I'm also Israeli and same buddy. It's a tough time for everyone, even online. I keep being disappointed by the global left and at the same time disappointed by the Israeli right (not that I ever had hope in them😅) and it's tough to find your people when the debate is so black and white. I was a little nervous to watch this take cuz he's a comedian I adored for a long time but I actually liked it lol.
Let's hope for the best!
What is israel in first place? !
@@massinissaamazigh1ertamurt336 are you asking because you want to provoke or do you actually want to discuss this? Because I'm willing to discuss if you want and I'll be respectful to your opinions. I really care about this and about hearing other people's views :)
@@jackwinchester4770 yes of course, we can discuss about it, I am french by the way.
Its a colonial conflict its all
@@massinissaamazigh1ertamurt336 okay! Firstly you should know I'm not like a big patriot or anything, I'm not trying to claim Israel is a great place, I live here so I know it's got a shit ton of problems.
So, when you said "what is Israel in the first place?" I assume you're talking about the occupation, right? Let me tell you, as a leftist I'm against the occupation and all my friends and family and even my teachers in school are against it. But at the same time, we have to acknowledge that even though it's not fair that Israel is managing the land in such a way, and we do have to speak up against the treatment of Palestinians, at the same time, Israel is still a society that is made up of a mostly innocent population, like every place is. And I personally wish the Palestinians will get the lands back from the settlements, but I don't think it's realistic to wish they take ALL the lands from the river to the sea, because that means the entire Israeli society and culture and economy and community that has been there for decades will have to be ripped out and destroyed for that to happen. And that's my community, that's my home. I wish it can be a home for others too, but WITH me, not to replace me. You see what I mean? Just like you feel sad for the Palestinians who were banished from their homes back in the day, you shouldn't wish that upon anybody. I don't wish that for anybody. This revenge logic ,more than being impractical it is mostly just plain dangerous to everyone I know.

Man, I feel like we've had the exact same conversations with our parents.
Also, that "cops aren't kosher" joke was fucking slept on. Absolutely criminal that it didn't get more laughs.
Can you explain it to me please? I'm from a completely different cultural background and i didn't get it....
@@AD-bd1nwpig is a slang term for a cop
@@AD-bd1nw kosher is a term related to Jewish rules and restrictions regarding preparation and consumption of foods, kosher means it's acceptable, treif or non-kosher means it's not. And one of the most famous rules is that pigs are seen as unclean and not allowed, so they are not kosher.
And the common insult for police is "pigs", so Gianmarco is basically calling police pigs in an elaborate way.
As an Indigenous American, & on thanksgiving morning, I’m grateful that you’re here. What’s happening in the Middle East right now is so horrifying and heartbreaking. For humanities sake we need to stand together. 🕊️🪶💨
Unfortunately, everyone seems to think Jews are white and come from Europe. Think of it this way, the Native Americans, colonized by the White Europeans (which we all know they truly were), fled to other countries. Some remained, but many, many others fled. Wherever they went, they were ostracized; accepted for a little bit, then pushed out or murdered in other countries; persecuted no matter how far they traveled. So...they had enough and decided to return to their homeland, where other Native Americans were still living. They decided enough was enough, negotiated to have back at least a little part of it that was still their own (hmmn....sounds a bit like the reservations that still exist in America right?) BUT the current tenants (Yes, all of us white European descendants) whined and complained and violently resisted this return.....It's kinda like THAT.
@@christianebrown9213 I am also annoyed by the ignorance of people thinking that Jewish = white, not only because not all Jews are Ashkenazi (completely erasing Mizrahi, Beta Isreal, etc.), but also because "white" appearance historically never protected Jews from being perceived as a minority and horrifically persecuted.
That being said, I think this is not a good comparison. Even if we assume that people have a right to return to their ancestor's land, the current residents do experience dispossession when you suddenly move in and claim land, and describing that as "whining and complaining" is awful. Many lose land they had been living on for unknown generations, that suffering is just as valid as that of Jews when they lost their homes. And let's not gloss over the fact that the formation of the modern State of Israel certainly wasn't just through "negotiation", but also armed conflict.
Also, Jews who migrated back are not the only ones with a claim to the land. The Middle East has always been very diverse, so even in the days before the Jewish diaspora, there were other, non-Jewish people living in what is Israel today. If we say Jews have a place there because their ancestors were there, then the descendants of those other people have an equal claim, it's always been mixed. Furthermore, in over 2000 years of the diaspora... other people have moved in there? It's not like the land sat empty waiting for the return. Do people whose ancestors left around 2000 years ago have more of a claim than someone whose ancestors moved in "only" 800 years ago, or can they both call it home?
So yeah, as an anthropologist who has focused a lot of her work on Native Americans, I'll say the struggles are quite different.
Israeli jews are Indigenous to the land through language, religion/culture (as most are secular), archeology and for the vast majority ancestral genetic lineage. That doesn't Palestinians don't have indigenous rights to live in the levant too, of course they do. Don't be ignorant about history though: arabization, slave trade under Ottoman empire, it having never been a socially isolated region from Europe too, and the influence of British Mandate causing tens of thousands to move to the region.
@@hannahg.8572 Also, don't forget that Ashkenazi Jews have Middle Eastern ancestry as well. Numerous wide scale DNA tests have shown that Ashkenazim have historic maternal Southern European heritage and historic paternal Middle Eastern heritage. Regardless of where Ashkenazim settled, they maintained this genetic makeup due to endogamy. Jews are not a (wholly) European people, even Ashkenazim.

It is true…I don’t know is an appropriate reaction because it is such a complex thing that many should say I don’t know instead of making an opinion that at the end adds up to being a trend at the moment and not a real opinion or a stand.
