In late 2009 a successful campaign was launched by Jon Morter and his then wife Tracy to promote an alternative to the omnipresent X-Factor winner being the Christmas #1 in the UK singles chart. The track they nominated as the alternative was “Killing In The Name” by Rage Against The Machine. The band supported the campaign, donated the proceeds from the sales to charity and lead singer Zack de la Rocha promised that Rage Against The Machine would perform a free concert in the UK to celebrate the achievement. This went ahead in London’s Finsbury Park on 6th June 2010 and is captured on this film. It is an exuberant performance by the band with the audience cheering them all the way to the inevitable climax of “Killing In The Name”.

I was at this show, it was absolute CHAOS. The perimeter fence got broken down and thousands of extra people got into the crowd, there was a massive, palpable energy in the crowd, and after the show when the police turned up to control the crowds leaving the park to get to trains and buses, they were met with "F YOU I WONT DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!" 😂😂😂

I'm not really a big fan of RATM since this is the only song of theirs that I listen to. But that moment at 0:43 really gave me goosebumps. You can see the absolute happiness on Zack's face. This is the kind of crowd that every musician wants.

I went to see them when they played Wembley arena in 2000, not only did they play an awesome set, they have to rate as the loudest band I’ve ever witnessed at an indoor gig and I’ve seen some of the biggest bands in the world play. Me and my girlfriend drove back from the gig to Liverpool and my ears hurt then and we still had ringing in our ears days later. Wouldn’t have missed it though, great band. 🤘🤘🤘

I discovered this band when I was 8 years old but at that time I didn't understand much what their music was trying to say, now that I am 23 years old I'm starting to understand everything and I'm loving this band more than any other band I had liked/loved before.

Was in the pit for this in Ireland and no lie, all the bands who played before them were in the pit moshing with us - the Editors, Wombats, even Deadmau5 was there for a few songs. I've seen a lot of bands but that was the best concert exp I've ever been at.
