  • We all know a Cold Steel Rifleman's Hawk video is just an excuse to do some tomahawk throwing. This one destroyed my Balance Orientation And Rotation Device.

Thanks Bryan for the review. I have a few Cold Steel tomahawks including this one. My favorite is the Trail Hawk because it is nimble and light. Love the Chuck Norris facts!

More of this, please. Less of the other stuff. Much more of this. I watch your videos just for the throwing part.

All Cold Steel products used to come sharp right out of the box. Those were the old days. BUT I nearly always work on an edge for anything. That thing is a beast, nearly as heavy as an axe. I like the Trailhawk, the Hudson Bay hawk, but mostly I carry my Council Tools Camp Carver if I bring such a tool.

Hey Brian, can you showcase some Marbles products for us? They are VERY budget friendly. Smoky Mountain Knife Works sells many...

Definitely take out that set screw lol it will mess up the handle eventually, that is the heat treat line you're seeing back from the edge. A new edge Definitely makes a difference on those as you said. 👍

A beast of a tomahawk. A bit too much for me too. Good review though.👍🏻

I have a 2015 vintage Cold Steel Recon Tanto. The blade on that thing can shave the hair off a frog. Sad to see their quality has apparently lapsed.

I’m not sure it has. Almost every Cold Steel KNIFE I have tested has been excellent.

I have the rifleman hawk and several other Cold Steel tomahawks. The most useful thing about them is always the hammer poll. The rifleman hawk is too heavy to carry backpacking. I might as well carry a Milwaukee battery-powered mini-chainsaw for the weight. The Cold Steel trail hawk is much lighter and practical for me. Although I’m more likely to use it to hammer in tent pegs than chop wood.

Be careful getting rid of that backyard overgrowth, it may be all that is holding the fence up.

Hey Survival On Purpose, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really helpful and well-made.
I was wondering if I could help you repurpose your long videos into highly engaging shorts? I can also make high CTR thumbnails for your channel. Wanna try out one for free?

Have you thought about putting the stump onto your medical plan?……..😉😘 Good throwing on the Hawk.

I find the Rifleman's Hawk too unwieldy for one-handed operation. It really does benefit from a 30" handle, so I bought an extra Cold Steel War Hammer and just swapped handles.

I like Cold Steel, but their tomahawks suck. I have this one, and several others from them, and they all have edges like this. From what I've seen, their Trench/War hawks are your best bet with them

Dude, how could you be reviewing Coldsteel tomahawks on youtube for a decade and not know thats the heat treat blemish that ALL Coldsteel tomahawks have?
