What a beautiful result, it was nice to see that you kept some of the little problems which cropped up and how you remedied them, that was useful to learn from.
Downright impressive. This is my favorite auto and you did it justice.
Came here after seeing “Ford vs. Ferrari” and getting the idea to build three of these.
Tim Peterson Same here. Coming out of the movie after hearing those cars in a theatre and then the first thing you hear is some kid in a Honda Civic with a muffler was honestly such a jarring experience XD
Same here bud!! I have one already-though disappointed this kit does NOT come with full engine detail and open engine compartment-I do LOVE the photo-etch fret though!
Saw this video months ago, but after seeing the film, I'm doing the same thing. Probably going for the 1/12 scale Trumpeter release coming out in December 2019 + KA detail up kit.
Curious how many hours a build like this takes you. Fantastic results! Thanks for posting the videos very helpful and inspirational.
Good luck
to say I'm impressed is a understatement. Beautiful build
tout simplement magnifique
Je ne pouvais pas être plus d'accord
Magnificent, absolutely beautiful, love the level of detail, and the process of the construction of the Ford GT40, Great work . :)
Music and art! Wonderful results!
Spectacular build! I never like music. This was a perfect choice.
man I never knew a car like this could look so good . I guess the detail is all in ur head & Tamiya polishing products . fantastic look u accomplished . thanks 4 the tricks for make a paint job so smooth & even .
The GT 40 is my favorite car. You made that car look incredibly real. Damn Nice!!
Fujimi kits are very nice indeed. I use the bodies of such kits and put a slotcar chassis under them for racing. Wish I had the skill David has in making them up. But then again, I wouldn't want to race them.
Ahh plasmo early vids. So cool to see how the channel has evolved
That's what a master. Fixed all! Great!
Great build I have the same model you have shown me the way, thank you David.
Gracias a este video inicié en este pasatiempos, saludos desde Panamá muchas gracias!!!
What an artist. Awesome!
Another exquisite build. Amazing finish. Nice music, too.
Wonderful build of this 1966 winner at Le Mans driven by the great New Zealander Bruce Mclaren
Wonderful job! One of my favorite cars. I used to build models of all types when I was young, but not nearly as good as this of course. I have too many things going on in life now with family and responsibility to be able to do this. So I enjoy watching you work. Thanks.
Great model, great mood. This is my favorite Plasmo video.
Beautiful car in real life , you did it justice.
Beautiful car, Thank you for sharing.
You are a very patient and dedicated model builder. Excellent job. And I like your choice of music.
I showed all your recent videos and this one. Your technic was very progress ! Thank you ! It’s really nice for me. I think that i don’t have the level that you get on this one, it’s cool for me : i show my error. Thank you again ! You make a good job !
Nice job! It looks surreal!
Absolutely stunning work, David!
Outstanding! I really enjoy your channel. I love the fact you do much of the assembly work before painting (cockpits and interiors) too often I spend far too much time detailing and painting every single part seperately before gluing it all together. Your approach is one I'll adopt in future builds. I think it'll be many more years and hundreds of models down the line before i ever manage to finish a model as well though.
Carry on! You're a master at what you do :)
The most beautiful car model I've ever seen....
Sharp build.......fantastic! Happy building
you make this looks easy, you sir, you have blessed hands
Fujimi 1/24 scale cars are actually pretty good and the details are amazing.
Well done, man you are a perfectionist! This car came out beautifully
Wow, I love watching your model builds. You are exceptionally good. I could not build this well in a million years. Nice videos.
Magnifique vidéo. Construction inspirante.
What an amazing job!
Vive la France ! Super vidéo, magnifiqe
Excellent video - and car!!
Looks like a super kit excellent build ull do this justice 👍
Such a beautiful super-car
The build came out great very nice job
My favorite car ever! 🤩
What a beauty David. Classic
Impeccable work!
great job considering it's the cheapest modern GT40 1/25 model available, and does not come with a complete engine. EXCELLENT !! a stunning superb build. thanks for posting.
You my are a legend and an inspiration
Awesome sportscar!! Best paintjob ever!!👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you. I appreciate that very much.
Awesome finish looks very sharp, well done.
wow as always stunning work David
I actually liked it after you scuffed it up, but before you polished it. I’ve seen a lot of older track cars in person, and the paint is always somewhat dull like that. It’s lost it’s luster from thousands of miles of dirt and debris hitting it at high speed. Even when the car is clean, it looks drab. And they never re-paint certain cars, because the paint adds weight (and decreases value). So what you usually see is an original coat of thin, faded paint.
Fantastic finish on the car! Good video. Thanks
wow superb job , actually driven a GT40 . my fathers . would like to see a few motorcycles done , old ones , like cb750 four , keep the good work up .
Great painting!
Have this kit and the Ken Miles car in the stash. The GT40 has to be one of the most beautiful racing cars ever made
If you did this model over again, would you follow the same sequence? I noticed you decided to sand and polish after everything was fitted... and no clear as a final post-decal step. I've watched some of your other videos where you do things a bit differently. Is it trial and error or dependent on the model? Great videos - very relaxing.
awesome build and quality worknanship
Awesome craftsmanship Sir !!!!!!!!!
I bet his heart sank when he saw that it was a single piece body, but raised back up again after seeing those etched metal parts. It's good for a change to see these more basic beginner's kits being done to such a flawless standard.
Sugar Sammy these arnt beginer kits lol
You are now bound for life to wear white gloves whenever you want to view this beautiful work of art, bravo my friend, brave. looks fresh off the production line haha =)
Beautiful finish.
Hopefully someone will make a 2016 Le Mans Ford GT kit so you can have a twin for this one.
that would be an interesting build video he could do
Interesting work sequence. Your skill is definitely extra ordinary!
beautiful work
One hell of a job, well done.
Really like your channel, picked up lots of help and tips.
Thanks for taking the time to make and post the vid's.
Always incredible work!
Great job!! Ive been to scared to try cars because of the polishing. Can't wait to see whats next.
That was just magic to whatch love the old American muscle I've got some to start just haven't got the time yet 🤗🤗🤗🤗😁😁😁😁
Interesting to see your order of build as compared to mine. Wonderful results.
Awesome build!
Awesome job...looks great
That looks freaking amazing! I wish I could make a model car that well
Cool video, Great job. Beautiful Mendelssohn
Amazing modeling David
For the body color, why do you use flat black instead of gloss? Is there any advantage of using XF1?
Awesome job ! Looks Great ! I am a sucker for Ford G.T. or G.T. 40's a little unconventional to sand n polish after building but with this one maybe you had to but either way the end result is all that matters. And it looks great!
Very nice. I wish I had your skills. I have been trying to combine 2 kits to duplicate may fathers GT40 (#1029) The kit you show here, (the Mark II which has the correct wheels) and the gt40 MK 1. I have all the decals, but this is where I screw it up overtime. That and your paint is much better. I might have to take another crack at it
Nice works!
du haut niveau bravoooooooooooooooo
Looks great... great job
Tissue cloth was used to stabilize the assembly of the body and the base?
Do you think you could possibly add a link to the song. All I could find were an orchestra version and not this
Outstanding
What paint brand and color did you use on the wheels?
awsome job ill have a go at my one this kit soon iv revelles original full PE set with it too from the race series when ford beat ferrari in lemans ill go at this kit b4 i go at other one this looks little more complicated with body in 1 piece great job
Music is "I Am a Man Who Will Fight for Your Honor" by Chris Zabriskie.
Excellent job!
Beautiful...!!!!Nice work...
très beau résultat !!...
Very good indeed! Once again.
Remarkable ! On most of the pictures at the end, it's almost impossible to tell if it's a model or a real car :)
Please update and make meng's version. 🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇♀️
I am impressed my your technique!!!
Ottimo filmato e bellissimo risultato!
Did I miss something aren't you supposed to put a clear coat over the decals ?
He did, 5:07, problem is that this clear coat does shrink a lot and does not build up good thicknes as 2k clears, so it demands more layers and it is harder to cover the step between the base coat and the decals, on the good side is that small details like panel lines, rivets, grills and wipers remains sharper than the ones covered with a thick glossy 2k clearcoat, you always sacrifice something.
Two quick questions, if I thin down black acrylic tamyia will that be like tamyia panel line wash as it is very hard to find near me for some reason. Second question is my airbrush will not shoot a stream, it is dual action but when I pull back it will shoot a puff of water then stop. Any ideas?
Acrylic definitely not. Panel line wash is enamel, so you can try to mix enamel colour for example transparent x-19 and thinner x-20. I hope it will be very similar or you can use Humbrol, Mig, Vallejo, AK and many other washes. Tamiya is just one of many.
Second question. I don't know but you can try to clean it again. Check seals and nozzle.
moc pěkné a inspirativní
Masterpiece!
My all time favorite car.
Love the annotations
Stunning!!
I guess this, by your usual standard, a relax build? Haha
Lovely work as usual :D
Yes, I build this model after one week and I enjoyed it very much. Just like you wrote a relax build.
sublime !!
