Every single one of your videos turns out to be a cinematic masterpiece. It's such a pleasure to sit back and take in, everything you and Tom have discussed. Thank you for continuing to put so much effort into each and every video.
I love this "The Vivid Portraits" series a lot, thank you for all the effort you put into those masterpieces, That was such an interesting conversation in a marvellous setting. I have a few friends who are also interested in historic male fashion and all of us taking inspiration from your channel and appreciate that you have built such an amazing ressource for it with your channel. Again thanks a million.
You are one hell of a cinematographer my friend!
Nach dem Intro konnte das Video nur gut werden 🥰 sehr interessantes Interview, danke für den Einblick!
I admire Tom immensely; his Instagram inspired me to make a few different items, and now I realise we started in similar ways. I used a coat I had for a pattern (without taking it apart) and it was...a journey...I've learned a lot, that's for sure.
Must've been a great holiday in this place with people who have a noble soul)
As always, an awesome presentation. I so enjoy these vignettes and interviews. Tom seems to be very wise beyond is years. He appears to be thoughtful and enjoyed his insightful perspective of the niche. Again, well done.
Oh goodie, this will make my day better for sure.
I cannot tell you how much I would love to see a store that sold 1920s/1930s style mens clothing at an affordable price tag. Even if it was in the hundreds range if it was made with classic methods and to a high standard then with proper care they would last for decades (very environmental). Fast fashion along with the excessive focus on casual styles since the 1960's has made things look so ugly. I love these styles and the way they make you feel when you wear them. Both your outfits look so elegant here btw.
This was so beautiful to watch. The interview was fasinating and I loved how you broke it up with shots of gentlemen wearing beautiful and well made garments.
Thank you for sharing another inspiring conversation on your channel. Beautiful cinematic shots as well ❤
I've literally always had a thing for Rudy Valentino. Tom is spot on.
Immer wieder schön.
4:28 I'm someone who listens to heavy metal/metalcore/powermetal/punk rock/etc. and into historical style and classic menswear! There's gotta be a connection lol. Also, Tom has an incredibly beautiful house. Thanks for showing us!
Wie immer, mein Herr, eine ausgecheinete video!
What a MASTERPIECE. 👍
Please continue this series, it simply breathtaking.
Also, the clothing presented in this video is absolutely gorgeous, what a style! ❤️
I love that attitude of "if they feel good in it then who am I to criticise". Advice is always helpful, criticism will often put people off trying.
I love how you contribute to giving this small community of period dressers and slow-fashioners the attention and exposure they deserve ─ I hope to see many more vivid portraits! Danke schön =)
Wow! Loved that ending shot!
very nicely conducted interview, and the outfits were fire. I wish men dressed like this more often these days...
Wonderful interview! Also absolutely beautiful filming!
love how you made this while I at least was still in bed😂
Yes! Another video, thank you for all your hard work sir your videos always make my day!

Great to see these interesting convos!
✌🏽✌🏽✌🏽
haha just today i was wondering if there'd be a new video and saw the community post about this tWIP interview
the dutch accent sooo typical same goes for the west german accent 😂😂😂
Hey bolt thrower fan here!🎉
You're filming at an incredibly beautiful location. Where is that?
Can anyone please tell me what's the title of peace playing in the very beginning? It's absolutely beautiful?🖤😌✨
Well done good souls
if its drip or drown hes floating above the water
I’m not quite into heavy metal, but rather symphonic fantasy power metal and symphonic fantasy gothic metal. I’m also into sort of fantasy fashion as well as historical fashion, so there may be correlation there.
I want a link to that villa
A very good interview, though I would work a little more on the audio. The ambient feedback is quite severe. Perhaps look into a microphone that is better at isolating your voices and filtering out background noises and ambient feedback (such as echo and reverberation).
My theory as to the connection between Heavy Metal music and historical fashion is a demand for authenticity. So many modern commodities, entertainment and clothing included, are nothing more than cheap approximations, mere immitations of what they claim to be. You do not wear costumes, you are authenticly clothed, albeit in a style from a time gone past. Heavy Metal is intensely classicly inspired and so many of that genre's great artists are classicly trained musicians. So much popular modern music feels more like a thin costume than it does an authentic garment.
does anyone know the intro music? my shazam is being non compliant about it
I hope this video is over 17 days old...white after labour day tisk tisk lol.
With unusually hot weather, white still best. That rule is embedded in an elitist way of thinking. In my area of USA we have had more than 10 days of over 100°F/37°C. Definitely white & light clothing weather
@@mlbumller I thought it was an old tradition and was poking fun at it. Never thought of it as elitist. So it is upper class "rules"?
outdated illogical tradition, not to mention unheard of in europe
@@alibabafurball The rule, at least in theory, was made to seperate the neveau riche from the old money. It also did make cohesive sense - white is a summer color, and global warming didn't have as much of a hold, so it was a good time to put away your explicitly summer garments. We don't really quite know why it was designed, but I do think the idea of elitism was overstated. It had more to do, if it did have to do, with old and new money than poor vs. rich. With that said, global warming has made it less feasible, even for areas where it would normally make sense.
@@themoderndandy713 I have always thought the white after labour day rule was strange and sounded strange. Even when you look at pictures of the past, it doesn't seem to have been a thing. Might this even be a modern marketing myth to get people to buy more clothes?
