Is Just for One Day at the Old Vic REALLY as bad as the critics suggest?

After reading quite a few 2 and 3 star reviews for Just for One Day at The Old Vic, I went to see this musical with low expectations. While I do think that critics are right...I do think that there are a few reasons why this musical is worth seeing and in this video, I'm sharing what I think those are. Have you seen this musical? I appreciate it’s too late as closes today but took 13 year old daughter to see and she really enjoyed it…..would have gone again but getting tickets have been extremely difficult. Interesting to see if goes on tour

The reviews are misleading and they miss the point anyway.
Seeing some reviews, and myself wasn't sure at beginning of show but it warms up to humour and I loved it. Brilliantly witty too in places, great choreography and they certainly pack in the cover numbers. Recommend it . Just showed me you have to ignore reviews and decide for your sweet self.

Totally agree that reviews should be taken with a pinch of salt...it's inevitable that certain stories will resonate with some people more than others, and this is a really nice, heartwarming musical that many people would enjoy, I think! 😊 so glad to hear you had a great time!

I got a £10 ticket on the PwC scheme, loved the tunes they brought back memories and also liked how the seating moved under the band.

I paid mine £20 and I felt that was as much as I would wanna spend on this musical so £10 is great! ☺️ there were some interesting and simple set solutions!

Saw it last week,thought it was a fantastic show and so did all the audience with the standing ovation 👏 it got, all the performers were amazing
