- Hey y'all! I had to break day one into two videos... I didn't want them to get too long! In this video it's a basic day one working on approach, pressure and release, first touches, and a few other things! I'll have a video out soon explaining why I chose this mare and more information on her! I'll hopefully have part two out soon, I can't wait to share with you all!

Oh I love this. I was trying to think of a name and couldn't find the right word. You nailed it! She's kind of a magical looking thing, and she's got something about her, when you look at her eyes.

Hi Sam, I am from Germany , we dont have wild Mustangs here, so its very interesting for me how you work with them. This one is really pretty, very strong and intelligent. Her eyes are clear and friendly, I am sure you can make a queen out of her!

i liked how when you first got her, she was the one that kept her eye on you. The other horse was mostly hiding. She does look curious and seems to have a level head on her.
You picked a lovely mare, Sam. I really love the expression in her eyes. There's nothing mean to see. A bit of confusion, but also curiosity and the will of wanting to trust you right from the start. She also has good conformation points and will probably make it easy to train her under saddle. Especially with such a sensitive rider like you are. Can't wait to follow her path into a hopefully bright future!
She is so beautiful and it's amazing to me how well you can read her body language and manipulate her movement with yours.

I just got my first horse a week ago and am starting training. Your videos along with Stacey Westfall's Jac series have been so informational and have taught me sooooo much. I hope to train him some liberty eventually and you have been really inspiring. Thanks for all of the hard work you put into your videos, I hope you never stop making them.

I don't mean to sound horrible but I'm so glad to find a person riding and training mustangs English style, I've always thought they'd be such a nice breed for the English discipline but I've never actually seen anyone do it.

She looks like a really sweet mare . These types of horses are my fav. Because they want to please , only downfall is they can mentally shut down if to much pressure an explode if u don’t keep in tune with them

I just adopted a white river mare last weekend and she is very similar I have worked with her an insane amount and just got first touches today 😬... shes a lot like roulette but has a little more flight and slightly less fight anywayzzz i hope yours is a little less flighty then mine for a makeover:)

I am in love with this mare. I think you picked well and honestly I am stoked to see her journey! I love all the videos you post. I have my own DG mare and she should drop a foal any day now. She has been coming along nicely as I have her with someone to start her as I do not have my house ready for a wild one( it will be soon though as I want to try my hand at a makeover at least once in my life). She is such a thinker. I really believe her age is beneficial to her. I believe you said she was 9? She will give prospective adopters something to think about. Most want the younger horses. Once she figures things out, you will have another winner. Love her conformation and movement.

Your approach is so wonderful for her. I really can't wait to watch this little mare's personality develop. She seems surprisingly calm, but like you said, it's hard to tell if she's internalizing the pressure and freezing or if she's cool as a cucumber. Thanks for the share! She's absolutely gorgeous.

Really cool to see the freeze vs flight at this stage. I remember watching Snooze. Freezing comes with its own challeneges so this is awesome to see.
