I bought the tracker waterproof suit that Spooner promotes. It's not as good as they say, in fact it's like a sponge. Don't keep ya dry at all. In fact if a garment claims to be waterproof and breathable. Forget it. I've bought different makes of jacket from tackle shops and have yet to find one that really is waterproof!

For me the keys to take away are the 45mm spools low diameter line and wetting the line which I didn’t know about , you can get 45mm spools on the diawa cross cast at £90 quid a pop . Won’t make a bit of difference weather it’s the Basia or not , they have the same qd drag system my mates have used them for years for cats on the Ebro upto 150lbs . And you can break 10 of them and still have a £100 quid left over compared to a single basia 😂 .
Bivvy bollox get one off eBay or face book , but if you are going to Europe you need to open the bivvy up in the day so mozzy net inserts are a must for a snooze .
Droppers and delkins not worth the money , why have lights on your bobbins when you have them in the alarms? Makes no sense .
Finally there is so much carp kit secondhand you can buy from the wannabes who think that they will be landing big fish every session you can get what you need for a reasonable price from those that give up or get seduced by the new kit that comes out every year .
Remember this shoot cost a fortune to make , those spots will have been baited way in advance by their local guides .
Last point I fish in France a lot. Where for £85 you can get a public water license that allows you to fish free in every precinct of the country bar two . And there’s no better feeling than catching wild carp from natural waters .
All that said I love the Korda boys and their videos .

Some great tips little bits to add , yes it’s a tackle tart fest and their is no need to be dropping the lead in a clear lake , but without Danny’s original lead clip system Korda would not have become the makers of the best videos to learn from , it’s the growth of Korda that has raised the bar . Spooner is so skinny he probably does need the basia element in his rod , Ali is so short he needs all the help he can get .😂
i know was just joking around that is why i put the smile face :) Im from South Africa and over here we fish extreme range also feeding and maker at a provincial level wee need to spod,marker and fish at 140m (line clip) just to make the A or B team.myself i can fish up to 165m .must say love your videos watch them all the time wen i cant get to a lake keep doing the good work .sorry if i came across as offensive.

It sure is a great video, the casting coaching was the highlight for me; thank you guys. I am amazed at the size of the fish that are caught and at the same time i am concerned about the health of the fish. It does seem to me that with fishing pressure and the huge amounts of feed being used that these fish are obese. What is being done about that? Everybody wants a catch a hundred pound carp but at what cost to the carp?
I’m not so sure the digestive system of a fish is the same as a humans.

My friend swears by them. He put one on my rig once, I never caught.
I've always used blended Tuna in s.f.o., pellet dust and bread.
Ball of bread dipped in liquidized tuna and rolled in pellet dust. Like a Bon Bon.
Hair rig that, with a PVA net ball of crushed pellets and bread thats soaked it in tuna n pellet dust. A few dry lumps of bread, for when pva melts, the bread rises, I can then see where my spot is to cat some pellets to.
Used it for 17 years!!! I've Never used boilies.
All the df rods only bend about 2-3rings down when playing.
Im a bit scared about the low diameter and the low lbs. Is there something to pay attention of or can i fish the touchdown in 0.30mm like every other line?
.30 mm is quite large diameter. I fish at range with .25mm. And .30 for normal fishing and .40 for snag fishing

Wow are they pushing these ready tied rigs enough - yes I understand fully it's the purpose of these videos ( marketing then market some more ) but me id not use a rig I'd not tied by myself, just wouldn't do it, if you can't tie it all the more reason to practice over & over, spending 1000s of pounds very very easily then hoping a thing as simple as a rig is as reliable as it can possibly be ?, makes no sense at all to me !

Sjs_YT , you don’t have to drop the lead. With a lead clip just push the tail rubber on as far as it will go or with the heli safe put the little collar under the spring inside and then neither rig will drop the leads
i'm not denying these guys know a lot about fishing but to go to a venue that has been prebaited with free sponsored baits and to have the rest of the lake locked off makes it easier to catch bigger fish, try going to fish RS fisheries there's a twenty year waiting list but if you are named you are allowed to fish them, not even allowed but invited. A lot of these places that these named carpers fish are water the common man either cant afford wont be allowed or cannot afford the bait to fish them. no disrespect guys just keeping it real. btw that spod wont travel as far with a cheap and cheerful rod and reel instead of your free longbow and basia that the average man cant afford.

Did you watch them film buddy? The whole point of this chapter was to teach people to fish long range effectively. Not 150+ which is extreme range, something only 1 percent will ever do. This was about what 99 percent of people can do!

Can't you catch a fish without using electronics? Whether it's an electronic fish finder, or an electronic strike indicator, why let your gear do the fishing for you? I don't find that at all sporting, or skillful. If you can't find fish, or tell your getting a bite, without using electronics, you aren't much of a fisherman. You have more crap that a Christmas turkey. Why not go buy yourself a twenty dollar rod and reel, and catch a fish the honest way, the SKILLFUL way?

Do you know anything about carp fishing. you all should be banned!! losing leads is a safe effective system. try fishing a water full of weed, with the lead still attached!! £1 lead is worth losing!! God I'm a bailiff on a water in my local area. if I seen anyone not dropping there leads. I would personally drag you off the lake!! fish safety is important, other wise how the he'll will these beautiful creatures ever make into our arms. carp fishing is the most humane fishing in the world. so looking after our quarry is the most important thing we can every do. taking pics of our quarry watching them swim away safely! is the best feeling in the world. so safety is important!! I drop leads every where I fish. will continue too!! so these beautiful creatures life on for the next generation!! more waters should ban people who don't follow these rules. top job korda have the greatest respect for you tackle and methods.
