You can't convince me Ebbers added dill to the bread for any other reason than that incredible double entendre
Sounds like him TBF
Me neither, but I'll be keeping that phrase in my back pocket & using it sometime I have a friend helping me in the kitchen. 😆
And that he could add later "It's a little sticky ." 🤣
The sticky dill dough.
Yep,that's the Ebbers we know and um,like.
Were I able to quickly know how to make simple bread, I would do the same.
Since they were mentioned, I wanna make a shoutout to the person who does the caption under every sorted video.
I understand English almost as well as my mother tongue, but as soon as there is any background noise I start having problems understanding what people are saying. Having captions under literally every Sorted video has made it so much more enjoyable to binge-watch this channel.
So Thank You, for always putting in the extra work!
I'm a native English speaker but not from the UK and they use super unfamiliar slang so I have to rewind, turn on the captions, and then google whatever term they used
Whoever that person is, they aren't being paid enough.
In this episode, we see Ebbers' sticky dill dough
😂🙈 blooming Dill Dough
Oh that's bad 😂
@@elizabethlittler4472tbh I'm surprised that joke wasnt made in the vid
Well, at least it's sticky, and not stinky...
The wonderful Ebbersman song, Mikes beautiful voice and the chaos that is about to unfold with Ben and Kush cooking with roulette tins. What a great way to start Monday evening ! Thanks a lot Sorted lads !
Happy Monday 😁
Agreed, 100%
The production value and execution of the Sorted Ebbersmen sea shanty are so professional, they have a second career route, should they wish it! The rest of the video feels like a bonus, not the actual content.
Beautiful harmonies! 😅
Loved Ben's version. Omg Mike, love your version of the song. Did you win the vote for being my sous chef btw. Details to follow. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It lands on my Tuesday morning but is a fantastic breakfast accompaniment.
"That needs to steam. *flips pan upside down*" was the most hilarious moment of the video, hands down.
While Pass It On provides a ton of inept chaos that I crave, Kush can evoke pure skilled chaos and it's a wonder to see.
Also why he isn't in many Pass It Ons as it's his element.
You can tell he's the one doing the cleaning around, no one dare tell him anything!
@@CommaToesSA Kush is almost too good for Pass It On. In the all chef one, he saved 30 minutes of flapping by Ben, James and Baz in just 10 minutes
I'll contend that the "dill dough" from Ebbers gives it a run for its money. 🤣
I want to know who laughed in the background. That made it so much better too
Ebbers knows how to entertain, give him a crowd and he whips out the dill dough! Also, I love the fact that Kush took inspiration from Jamie instead of the other way around. It shows how much the boys have grown.
Ebbers: The man that always has a plan
Kush: The dude that makes shit up as he goes but everything works out perfectly in the end
I love that Ebbers' may have been more tasty, but nobody goes hungry when Kush cooks. I'm not sure he knows how to make a one course meal and it's amazing.
Proof that Kush is a pro. It comes naturally.
@@SmashPortalI’m very impressed with Kush.
The spatial awareness of both chefs in that small kitchen space is incredible. I was amazed that they never once ran into each other.
8:30
"How's your dill dough"
"It's a bit sticky..."
I'm cackling 🤣🤣🤣
The Ebbersman shanty needs to become an institution.
I sing along every single time lol
I want the song as its own thing.
What do you do with an idle Ebbers?
What do you do with an idle Ebbers?
What do you do with an idle Ebbers, earlie in the morning!
Put him to work cooking tasty vittles!
Put him to work cooking tasty vittles!
Put him to work cooking tasty vittles, earlie in the morning!
@@jeromethiel4323 this needs another verse with a drunken ebbers
Ebbers cheeky little smile to camera after saying "Dill dough" was just pure joy 😊
💯
I’m never skipping the Ebbersman song because it’s makes me smile. Like a million watt smile.
Ahhhhh we love this 💛

yes me too
@littlehills739 wow, wow, if I only knew what those meant I'd do it
Yea!!!
It brings me back to the "am gooey in the middle baby let me bake"!
I think I really just missed a intro song 😅😮😂
"I'm making a quick dill dough..."
Me, currently focusing on something else for 3.25 seconds: *DOES A DOUBLE TAKE AT HYPER SPEED!!!*
7:11 Jamie underrated with "Turns out, the thing I like about snails is garlic." - very deadpan, very clever. ^_^
The song made me finally decide to buy a ticket for the live show 😂
Amaaaaaazing! We hope you enjoy it!
As a Newfoundlander that lives literally a 4km drive from a town called Dildo, I never get tired of the confusion on people’s faces when travelling when we say anything about the town with a straight face.
Still laughed hilariously at Mike and J’s reactions as they gave the fully intended response Ben was planning on.
Also edited to add when the town was named, it came from the name of a part of a boat, fitting since it was and is still a fishing community (with a high tourist attraction level)
"Spend a night in Dildo if you think you've got the time!" Hello from Manitoba!
If I lived anywhere near that town all directions I gave would involve travel through that town, multiple times if possible.
@@KenS1267 So if you lived in newfoundland?
Mines is more living beside a town called Muff, with the famous Muff Liquour Gin - which is difficult to say to people, or the Muff Diving Company.
And you got a sea shanty to boot, eh?!!
Whoever wrote the lyrics/thought of the idea behind the Ebbersman song is BRILLIANT!
I may be wrong but I think most of the songs are written by Mike
@@rainydays9967 He certainly has a very pleasant voice in this!
Mike was originally a music teacher so he does pretty much all the music and he writes all their original songs.
Mike: kudos for the Ebbersman song, and the wonderful tight harmonies. Whole team: great show. Ebbers and Kush: you each made food out of three random tins of stuff, and it all looked and sounded good to eat. Hat’s off.
Dill dough OMFG 😂😂😂😂
🙈🙈🙈
The Bennuendos are always hilarious
I had NO IDEA what he was talking about the first time he said dilldough 😂😂
I nearly choked on my lunch. That’s got to be an all time Top 3 Bennuendo.
@@HappyGothGala dozen people in studio didn’t either
I want the sea shanty as a separate video
Jamie's borderline violent double take before looking around at dill dough. Absolutely blew it out of the park today fellas!
I'm glad Kush acknowledges his propensity to blend the heck out of any problem.
also this was so much fun to be there for.. thank you for the opportunity xx❤
How did you get the opportunity to go watch? I'd love to be able to
kush channeling his inner James by folding a fork in half :p
I never have any idea what Kush is making untill he's done😂
Neither does Kush 😂😂😂
Neither does he!
Ebbers literally went "uh oh, spaghetti-o's"
I love the song its awesome and totally in character for ebbers to be so engrossed with the mostsustainable way of fishing and convincing the entire team to ROW a boat far enough out to see to not only get caught up in a storm but be deposited on a deserted island.
I absolutely ADORE the sea shanty!
Dill dough is the hardest I've laughed at a sorted video😂😂😂
Ebbers had the harder tins and he made it into one dish, which would still be a win even if it was just edible but delicious also makes it a 10.
Hah! I was thinking "You can make a dough with dill? That seems weird" and totally missed the pun for a second
I did too
I love the shanty. So much fun! Well done Mike!
entertaining as always, but I gotta say, kush spreading his ingredients over three dishes kinda takes the challenge out of it! Its easy to cook a bambo shoots dish, a razor claim dish, and a bread dish, but the challenge is making them al together!
The challenge is to use all the ingredients and “chef” them up. Never said they specifically have to use them all in the same dish. Long as he’s using them all and being creative he’s following the prompt…
Plus if they all taste great…and are upgraded. Again…done the task…
Unless the rules are redefined…he’s doing what’s asked…
@@artiefoxx4360 the entire point of the challenge is trying to combine 3 random things that might not make sense together. thats how everyone else does it in every other video and its the only way the premise of this makes sense, especially with chefs who can easily make a dish using a random ingredient.
I see your point, but all the dishes make one meal and go together as a menu, so I think the challenge stands.
Ebbers’ face in the thumbnail, lmao.
A very flattering shot 😊
Might be related to the dill dough he was talking about 😂🙈
I didn't see it, but am headed back to look now.
Edit - GREAT SHOT!
@@abehme his dill dough was a little to good
3 random tins? I do this almost every week.
What’s been the worst tin mix? 😆
@@SortedFoodDog food, cat food and whelks.
Yay for the caption'er keeping up with Kush's ingredient flood. Thanks for the great captions. I appreciate the extras that make the captions "chef's kiss"
Jamie's reaction to Ben saying he was making a "quick dill dough" had me crying from laughter. The turn around. The expression on his face. Perfection 🤣
Ooooh... Been waiting to see the chefs go up against each other in this challenge... I'm so excited for this
Enjoy!
@@SortedFood We're also still waiting for the "here's what the lads didn't use last time, now Ben has only these tins and the store cupboard and 30 minutes" video.
@@SortedFood I love it when Ben and Kush are competing because they really get into the spirit of it. It's like they're back in college competing for top grades. It feels like they hold back a little when they're competing with the normals, whether intentional or not.
I’ve worked with guys like Kush and I absolutely love it. Equal parts skill and sass 😂
Love how Ben left the Pumpy the Cow-themed tin can for Kush :p
First of all, what a cracking sea shanty. Secondly, Ben's plate of food must have been really good to beat Kush's excellent presentation and number of dishes.
The chanty is fire!🔥
Cringe
I now watch the ad and don’t skip through it!
I love it so much! I have listened to it a few times.
Mike is a pretty good singer!
It's shanty
Kush bending that spoon. 😂 Also brilliant selection of tins as always.
4:46 5:02 Quote lf the day people! Dill Dough! That had me on the floor guys😂😂😂😂😂😂
Might as well edit it again *of the day
Mike "instantly just dies"😂😂😂😂
I swear, I love this channel. The humour and the chaos is fantastic but, I have to say, one of my most favourite things is watching Ebbers and Kush do their thing.
The ideas forming and then watching them execute those ideas, while combating any potential disasters and come up with the most amazing dishes at the end is never, ever not going to be the most fascinating and enjoyable part for me!
Having said that, I will also say watching all the other videos is my favourite thing so, basically, my favourite videos from Sorted are whatever video I am watching at the time 🤷♀
You could also involve the audience in the judging by having a few of them sit in a separate room and serve them the dishes without any context and they could rate them :) Like a Blind Sorted Foot Restaurant Taste Testing 😁
I like the heightened thespianism from Ben, he loves the crowd!
That dill dough though... 🤌
I'm not even making a joke, it took 25 minutes to finish this video because I listened to "The Ebberman" literally 10 times before I watched the video.
There is now sweetcorn and beans all over my monitor! Dilldough!!!! Ebbers, you legend.
Yes, but what was in your third can?
All the Americans going "Spaghetti… Hoops?!"
What do they call them?
Loops? Rings? Circles?
@@hannahk1306spaghetti-'o's, I think
They're trying to use the generic term. Pretty sure the more common term is a trademark.
@@kitarkaarastis6993 We only call them spaghetti hoops in the UK - there is no brand name (unless you count Heinz, but that's more associated with baked beans anyway).
@@hannahk1306 That's what I've figured, I've seen 'spaghetti hoops' a lot in UK-based productions. In the US, it's synonymous with the brand Spaghettios, so that's just what a lot of people call them. Only generic brand I've ever seen I think they were called Spaghetti Rings.
It's here!!! Ive been so looking forward to watching this back 🎉 thank you for having us in the studio! 💛😂
You’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed the experience and thanks for coming down 😁
As much as I love - presumably - Mike's rendition of the sea shanty, I feel like a collaboration with The Longest Johns is in order.
Can we please get a video/short that is just the shanty? I love it so much
I still genuinely can’t get over how incredible that intro song is. It’s also the first livestream I can partake in due to work and time zones not hindering things
Watching these two men work is fantastic, and while they're both chefs, they have different approaches to things. I know it's been quite awhile, but still glad Kush got brought forward to be featured more. Controlled chaos, that man.
can't help but feel a little bad for the audience, all on camera constantly and looking at the chef's backs when the show is formatted to face the other way
Two chefs cheffing off…absolute joy! ❤
It was the subtle "WTF" head tilt from the blonde audience member when Ebbers said "Dill-Dough" was the killer.
Dill dough took me out, ngl 🤣🤣
I have to stop drinking coffee, tea etc. when watching these videos lol
Oh no! Ben's dill-dough was sticky! 😆 I'll admit I thought he'd had a wee Freudian slip at first, but good word play.
Nah, that was 100% deliberate. Look at his face at 4:54.
@@anna9072 Oh yeah deliberate, but it was out of left field & it caused me a momentary pause. Like when you're a kid & you let something slip to an adult that you shouldn't have. 😬😆
I have to say, the audience just standing there laughing is really funny for some reason, they're clearly having a great time but they look like parents watching their kids in class
The audience was a negative for me.
Arent you a sour one🤷
Suggestion for battle: Make jamie and ben cook with ingredients they hate the most (Jamie marmite and ben Macdonalds) as their star ingridients😂😂😂😂
Frankly, I think that's gonna be a whole lot easier for Jamie. Marmite is basically just nutritional yeast and salt, so you can pretty much just throw it into a sauce with some spices as an analogue for something like soy or Worcestershire and it'll probably turn out edible.
McDonalds is trickier because you're basically deconstructing a pre-cooked dish, so you gotta work around how it is seasoned and how the ingredients were prepared (fries for example are difficult to recycle into something else because they're so greasy).
And Jamie needs to make it vegan
I love watching the chefs in action! It amazes me what they come up with and I learn so much.
Kush's eyebrows when Jamie said, "Well, we've ruffled some feathers in the studio..." spoke volumes😆
Looking forward to the live stream going to be watching y'all from work living in Alabama from the USA y'all have inspired me so much I love cooking fish I would really love to see what y'all going to do with some
2:18 Ok and here I thought only Barry had Hench arms.
Or the spoon was weak idk 😂
That Ebbersman song is such a great shanty. I love it. Fantastic episode guys.
Why is no one talking about how much of a hit the song at the intro is?!!! ❤️
That dill dough line was classic and Ebbers smirk afterwards was great. The reaction in the studio was funnier than hell. I love it when food references sound dirty but are not. Great video and the food looked wonderful.
Remarkable seeing what the chefs can pull off with the most random ingredients, truly inspiring - Well done both!
Oh c'mon! I _just_ got the Ebbersmen song out of my head!
Just like Ben scrap cooking challenge. Tin roulette is always very entertaining and informative. (When in doubt blend it😂)
More please.
And how about Kush cooking scraps.
Thanks you😊
The Ebbersman is AWESOME!
And the dill dough. Wow.
I think a rule needs to be instated that all three tins need to go into the same DISH - Kush uses his skillset of being incredibly productive and inventive to split them across several plates 😂
Round of applause to whoever wrote the shanty! It’s amazing . And yes I already bought my ticket !
I would love to see this format but with random cans from around the world.
Amazing as usual! Though I gotta admit, it felt awkward to me that the audience was standing in the back the whole time pointed at camera. If you're going to do that I prefer your old approach of them being behind the camera, audible with the occasional cut to them. At least let them have a seat!
I love watching Kush cook.
It is the perfect example of uncontrolled chaos being contained for a very small window of time for a task
he should have added some yeast to his dill dough, to make it rise :)
was ebber's dill dough not big enough for you?
Great video, I love these Chef v. Chef Tin Can Roulette videos. Ben & Kush never fail to deliver or entertain. We obviously couldn't taste at home, but I was very impressed with Kush's process & plating. Ben's sounded okay too, just didn't look great on a plate.
My god, such a great great teaser for the Washed up Live again.... so well produced and executed. So good, you've been producing (even more) amazing content in the last months... awesome work!
That Washed Up intro/ad is legendary 😂
The opening diddy was fabulous, flash-backs to me as kid watching Gilligan's Island! Probably the best intro to any CZcams video ever. Such harmony seriously set a new standard, extremely impressed. I laughed my tail off in this video. Just awesome cheers from the U.S.
Btw love the ad for washed up! My favourite one you’ve done to date! 😂
Absolutely love watching these guys.
Well done both of you . X
1:13 OMG YOU GUYS you heard my prayers. I wish I was in the vicinity.
I'd hate to be in that audience, seeing delicious food being made in front of me, yet being unable to eat any.
Extended Sorted shanty plus a live tin can roulette! I LOVE this!!!!!
Also, the dill-dough KILLS me!!!! 😂😂😂 Soooo many fantastic moments in this video, it has to be one of my favorite so far!
Is now a good time to mention how much I love Kush's whole method on these? "That needs to steam!" *flips stuff over on a hob* ROFL
Repeated that part multiple times...you know which part. Lmao
Embers you are always a great entertainer with your skills in the kitchen and skill with wordplay. Hilarious great episode!
I just had the LONGEST day of work at a busy cafe and I was delighted to find this in the my notifications when I got home. More tin can roulette!! :P
That little sneaky grin he gives the camera after his dill dough joke made me cackle! 😂
As red as Ebbers got when talking about his dough, you'd almost think that Bennuendo was accidental....almost. 😉
Loved your intro to this video! Whoever thought of the remake of the Wellerman... sheer genius! Well done!!! (Mike, good job in sing it!)
2:08 Kush opening his tin: the face of desperation. Then Ben came in with his sticky dilldough.
You know what’ll be funnier? To incorporate this, but in a Pass-it-on challenge, somehow lol 😂😂😂
Yes! How about each chef has to open a new random can when their turn starts.
That shanty is really a solid song. Well and truly well composed
ok, but that sea shanty was fire! I'm gonna need that to be on Spotify!
