If you have the time, wrapping your damp hair with styling strips and taking a hand held dryer on cool and going around the perimeter of the head will give you a bit more hold, especially for the nape hairs that sometimes like to get free.

Ok i dont mean to be mean or anything but, have you experienced thinning around the edges because of it as you've been doing it for 30 years now?
@dearinsomnia I've experienced thinning in general. I can go back 4 generations and thinning was a problem so I think it may be hereditary. My great grand mother and my grandmother both were bald in the top before they passed. My mom and sister's hair is very thin. No weaves, wigs nor ponytails. I'm the wig & ponytail girl. If I'm gonna go bald, the world will never know😉😄
