my 2-stroke is for fun & 4-stroke for fuel efficiency & reliability :-)

Fun to watch! I have driven the 4-stroke once and I felt like it was not much more powerful than my tuned moped haha! So I went for the RS125 2-stroke instead (same color as yours) and that unrestriked bike is another ballpark then the 4-stroke. Yes it drinks alot of fuel, but is has twice the horsepower. And now I have fitted it with a full Arrow system, bigger carb, Italkit reed valve and a 140cc Italkit :D So it runs even better. With the right gearing I think 190km/h on the speedo is possible.
But yes, for comuting to work and such, the 4-stroke will be better on the fuel and have better lowend power, but for fun riding, 100% 2-stroke for me :)

I think small displacement 2 strokes are awesome but for practicality I’d have to go with a 4 stroke personally

      I would totally agree 👍.
In the time I owned the two stroke, it would always fire right up though, so I'm sure a 2 stroke could be daily driven.

Only for Fun clearly the 2 stroke. If you only need something to move from a to b go for the 4 Stroke.
The Rotax twostroke are reliable but you shouldn´t be a complete noob when it comes to Carburator regulation. Also the fuel consumption is much higher and you need to fill up the Oil Tank regulary with the two stroke.
The big pro is the Power if you are allowed they have about double the HP and in the Powerband a tone more Torque.
The 4 Stroke is simply you change the Oil once a year and thats it. You simply drive, it has about 2 liter less consumption but it lacks Power. But tbh when you only want to drive to work and back and do some turns a 4 Stroke is suffivient

How much more fuel dose the 2 stroke take and what are the top speeds of both and how hard is it to maintain both of them

    • @Subliminal3117
      @Subliminal3117  Před rokem

I had both bikes in a pretty short time span.
I owned the black RS4 125 from may 2021 to november 2021. In such a short time span, i only gave it fresh gasoline because well it did not need anything. I believe if you search on google the fuel consumption is about 40km/l. The top speed is pretty limited, at about 120-130kmh at max!
I had the red RS 125 in about the same time span. As it is a two stroke you will of course have to buy two stroke oil, in regards to fuel economy it does about 20-22km/l, that's what google says. I did not have to do any maintenence on this either, due to the short time span I owned it in. I think on the speedo it does 150-160? kmh.
I'd suggest you look up service intervals on the bikes and research the costs related to what specific bikes you are looking to buy.

I own the four stroke, it barely uses any fuel, it's fast enough for getting you up to the speed limit, I don't have any problem getting it to 79mph, it gets there quick too, it just doesn't go above it. It's will still be the faster than most 125's out there. Mine is 4 years old now and has never had any maintainence whatsoever, obviously I recommend getting it serviced regularly but i am the third owner of mine and its still running like its brand new. I'd love the two stroke, but if anything I think my bect bike will be something more comfortable, these are fun for thrashing around but they are a pain for city riding

Hello I hope I can answer your question I used google translate :).
Well the sparkplugs warmth degree are the same, so there should not be any difference.
However the last letters is what makes them different. So the only difference is the quality of the electrode (like how many kilometers it will last you).
ES being the cheapest, EG middle and EIX should last you the most amout of kilometers.
Thats atleast how I understand it. I think you will be fine of with a EG.
