Welcome back everyone! Now, I know I’ve done my fair share of model kits in regular and smaller scales, but when our CZcams manager asked me if I wanted to get a 16th scale tank, I couldn’t pass the opportunity! So what that he took my soul, who needs it anyway when you’ve got a huge RC tank to play around with?
The vehicle in question is a Tongde Leo2 A7 in 16th scale. It came mostly preassembled, but, since I just have to tinker with it, I decided to repaint the whole beast and then test it out in the house and in the great outside. Later on, I’ll probably do a second video to show you all how it holds up in time and some more improvements I want to tinker with. Shoutout for the guys and gals at Stirlingkit for providing the tank for review, if you wish to take a look at their stuff, please follow the link in the description.

That camouflage paint scheme you did is absolutely beautiful
Is it supposed to simulate a current Ukrainian scheme?
Reminds me of the Chinese camo.
You don't need the IR mushroom unless you're going to battle with another RC tank. Also, there should be a piece of metal in the turret for the magnet to stick.
Tongde RC tanks are well known for decent accuracy and fun to play, easy to open to clean the chassis interior, quality build and reasonable price.
I recommend it if you want your kid to get into tank history. Though it is quite expensive if you buy a few of them as they don't offer discounts. The Patton Line is my favorite and the Chinese company have an obsession with Pattons, you can get all the best Patton PC tank of a larger scale there.
I got a few Pattons including the famous Israel Magach 6

Nice paintjob! I can imagine the cats reaction 🤣
Tape a GoPro and a Handgrenade on it, and you have a improvised Landdrone.
Thanks for the vid, tongde do release newer marks of tanks, love the turret rear storage.
Also I believe the controller inside it has 2 servo ports, one for Elevation and barrel recoil, love yo get one and see if it’s convertible.
But if I get any more 1/16th RC tanks my wife will kill me! 😂
Thanks again!
I think they have almost the same MFU as HL’s TK7.1. I will see once the M-60 Magach I ordered arrived. And BTW, I hope the missus doesn’t kill me as well when this one arrives. PS: don’t die on us, mate. I follow your builds and tutorials!
Hi everybody
Even the dog wants on some RC tank action
Great video

I have same size RC Abrams. Very slowly , only 3 km/h.
Looks like the usual "broken" recoil (always "on" regardless of angle) and I suspect no 360 degree turret traverse.

Dayum, this thing looks so awesome
I'm not keen on the "recoil". Seems excessive to me. The video "Leopard Beast From Europe" has some nice Leopard 2 firing scenes. Even better in the original form uploaded with Rammstein's "Du Hast" :) It had to be re-uploaded without it because of copyright reasons, though :(
Do note most exercise shots are done with lower pressure and recoil training rounds, so the tank jumping is less than with the proper rounds. That being said, yes, the recoil is a bit excessive, but that probably has its uses when doing mock RC-vs-RC tank battles, as it makes it clear you fired.
@@TanksEncyclopediaYT I've fired service sabot and watched others do it at the range. There is admittedly some "rock" but that's primarily through the suspension. Unless the tank is out of gear (unusual as the Driver should have it in gear ready to respond) its very unlikely for the recoil to flow through the transmission and drive sprocket and push the vehicle back any real distance.
As for firing at say 10 or 2 O'Clock (or further to a flank) pushing the tank back, that's throwing Newton's 3rd Law out the window since recoil doesn't change direction.
The only thing that i dont like on the tank is that i dont own 1 like it

Early!!
So just someone playing with their remote control tank??? Kind of weak sauce guys. Cool Toy though.
