Thank you Aaron, I need to get around to using the 325x I bought a while ago. I wondered what become of the one from 5yrs ago.
Welding for over 50 years (mainly TIG, stick, oxy-acetylene), wanted a TIG for my personal use. After a lot of research 3 years ago I was between this machine and an Everlast. Price, quality, and customer service won me over to Primeweld. Got the machine, the Maxcool 3000, and the CK 20 torch with 25’ hoses. Have not regretted it at all. Use the TIG button almost 100% of the time Since that time, a MIG180 and a CUT60 have joined the ranks along with accessories from Primeweld including the 125 cubic foot bottle of argon, up from my previous 80 cubic bottle, dual flowmeter and 25’ hose, 25’ extension chord, 15’ MIG torch, among others. Cannot go wrong with Primeweld.
You, your channel and your last PrimeWeld machine were the catalyst for me to pull the trigger and purchase one of their machines for myself.
Thanks 6061, thanks PrimeWeld.
Being a neophyte there’s lots of practice & materials I have yet to consume.
I purchased the TIG225 a little over a year ago. I'm still learning to Tig weld, but I am very happy with this machine. They have great customer service, probably the best I have experienced.
Haa a Master Craftsman with exceptional skill and ability AND perfect welds EVERY TIME saying “I’m out of practice”…is mind blowing but I get it✨💫💎 I know where I’m buying my Prime Weld when I get started. Thanks again for your professionalism you’re a RockStar✨💫💎
How did I just find this channel? Love the straight forward and helpful vids.
Hi Alex,
Unfortunately, CZcams doesn't recommend my videos nearly as much as they used to several years ago... The old videos received millions of views.

Thanks for watching
I've had the primeweld 225 for 5 years now, and it's been a flawless machine 👌
I bought a 225 last year on a black friday sale. I got one of your Tig buttons to go with it. I've been happy with it so far. Last time I tigged anything was in like 96 on an old ass Lincoln so I basically started from scratch skill wise. I'm slowly getting the hang of it. Also wanted to say I am enjoying your videos lately with the narration/explanation 🤘🤘
I was literally hours away from buying an Everlast when you uploaded this. Thanks for the great demo!
@dcurry7287
If you decide to order one through my website, I'll give you a free website subscription or a discount on a TIG Button if you're interested.
Thanks,

I've had very good luck with mine.
It's the best budget option for sure! I use the PrimeWeld225 for TIG mostly for aluminum, it's a great machine, it's actually easier to use than some of the way more expensive machines since all the controls have knobs
I bought this welder about 5 years ago after watching your video! Wish you sold them then and I would have bought from you. Thanks for all the videos over the years! Been subscribed longer than I can even remember
I’ve been very impressed with my primeweld TIG 225x. I also ended up buying their MiG 180, and the cut 50dp. All have been amazing machines.
The video close ups of your arc shots has really improved. Appreciate it.
If I would weld have as good as you, I'd be overjoyed. Man, you're skills are absolutely fantastic and I dearly appreciate your channel. Thanks!
I love my primeweld tig 225x. Have been using it daily for almost 3 years now. No complaints. We typically only use it for DC at low amps for welding thin wall titanium (0.028"). Done some stainless, mild, and aluminum on it all with nothing but great things to say.
One of the Most awaited video, if you are recommending that should be pretty good 🙏
Love it. Please show more of the settings.
I found this welder 1 day after I bought the Eastwood Tig 200... and I regret not buying this PrimeWeld every day. The Tig 200 isn't bad, but it can't do as much as this machine
100% love this machine, done a lot of mobile welding with it and shop projects
Nice! Hello from San Antonio, TEXAS!
I love my 225, haven’t tried the finger switch that comes with it, but foot pedal works good.
Perfect first tig machine. Does everything but fancy waves.
I've got a similar welder with the thing switched on the cooling fans sound like a jet engine 😂.
It's a 200amp machine with 60% duty cycle @200 amps.
PrimeWeld makes great stuff. Customer service is the best too!
I have this welder and love it.
I have the Primeweld 180 love that little machine!!! Looking in getting the Primeweld 325x with the max cool and the cut60
Great video you got my wheels turning on wanting one of those machines the price seems really fair.👍
Great video sir you are awesome ❤️ 😊
Great to have a low cost option
Very nice, can't believe I only just now found your channel. Also, there's plenty of 225X videos but not many of the 325X, would love to see your review.
325 video coming up shortly.
You also just showed that you don't have to have a gas lens or special cup to make good welds. They are convenient, but not necessary.
Got the 225 still can’t tac 1/8 aluminum like you in the corners. I keep melting the corners away.
You need to review the prime weld 325 I was just about to purchase one I got a multimatic 220 that I have done thousands of hours of aluminum tig on, but a lot of times I get into the 3/8 plate and it's a pain in the ass cause I got to preheat it, I was hoping that 325 would fix my problem if it's good
I will later this week or early next week... Stay tuned (subscribe, hit notification bell, blah blah)
@@6061 thanks man, you've been a big help over the years bought that tig button in 2020 and never looked back
I tried to buy a Primeweld machine a couple of years ago, and they wouldn't sell to me and said they wouldn't support one in Australia. So, I bought a WIA machine... never got to use it because I got sick and gave it away because I didn't think I would be well enough in the future to use it. Now I have recovered, I'm on the lookout for a machine. I would love one of those, because I agree with @DaneSaysStuff, that they are great quality, but I expect the same conditions would apply.
Buy something local to your country with dealer/importer support.
👍
That reminded me, do you have any experience with "LaYZr Tungsten?" I have some but don't have a weld space right now. Wondering how it compares vs the 2% lanthanated I use now.
Hi Dane,
I just bought some about 2 weeks ago.
I'm betting the name is a gimmick, but I may be wrong. I'm going to do some back to back testing with Lanthanated and Ceriated to see if I can notice a difference. I'll make a video.
@@6061 That's awesome! Your no bullshit approach is always appreciated!
Look up kanekid welds. He uses it, exclusively. I also use it, for all metals. I like it and haven't had any issues with it.
Would be nice to see 6061 test it out.
Goated
Have you tried yeswelder acdc tig
How do you rate the dynasty series, vs the new HTP and the prime weld? I have a 20-year-old dynasty 200 that I love but when I think of upgrading, I just can't see spending 10G on a miller when i can get the HTP for (i think) half of that or possibly the prime weld for under a grand?? What are your thoughts?
Dynasty Top notch (better weld appearance)
HTP/PrimeWeld very good, but aluminum weld appearance isn't quite as nice. It's a little "grainy" looking in a side by side comparison to the Dynasty using identical settings.
Hi aaron, great channel!
What do you suggest as "all purpose" machine for diy jobs (iron materials&aluminum)? Tig or mig/mag?
This machine is available for european market?
So those aluminum and stainless welds were done with the same tungsten that came with the welder or did you switch from the blue that was in the package?
I didn't change anything.
I only used what was supplied.
Any suggestions on welding helmets for older folks needing reading glasses?
Hi, I'm nearsighted rather than farsighted, so I wear my glasses all the time. After borrowing some from friends to try out options, I bought an auto-darkening 3M Speedglas helmet. It leaves me plenty of room without hitting my glasses anywhere.
I've never tig welded, but how do you put the tungsten in the gun with that short back cap? Do you just snip the tungsten with a pair of snips?
It's brittle. The best way to shorten it is with a grinding wheel. You gently cut the whole way through.
What is the difference between the button that came with the machine to the one you use?
Button that comes with the machine is an on/off button, either off or at the amperage machine is set at. TIG button (I use one) does the same thing the foot pedal does…..you can vary the amperage as you weld. I use it just about 100% of the time.
I shoulda picked up this instead of my magicwave 230i
How small of a bead can you do with that welder
I can build up an edge of 20 Gauge steel (0.030 roughly) and 0.035 filler and the bead is just wider than the base material if that helps.
😮 You cut the box! How you gonna ship it now? 😄
@6061 I'll buy one, but it's gotta have a sticker of you on it 😁
You didn't cover any of the adjustments or controls? Show us what is possible? Is hz adjustable? Show us
Are these sold in Europe?
Does UPS ship to your location?
What is the duty cycle?
All the specifications are listed on the website

A tig/stick machine that comes complete out of the box(- argon) AND has the 6061 seal of approval for under $1000 !? What more could you ask for? The tig button and subscription to the 6061 website included with the purchase, you say? Stop being a greedy dorkle dong. 👍
