- Welcome to Power BI Dataflows Step by step tutorial series for beginners and advanced level users. Throughout this entries session series, we will learn about Power BI Dataflows. This is a complete full beginner course for the beginners and intermediate Power BI user who wants to learn about Power BI Dataflows. You are watching the second episode of this series and during this session, we will learn how we can create our first Power BI Dataflow. First, we will try to understand the overall architecture of our database, and then we will create our first Premium Per User Workspace to create a data flow within it! In Power BI there are four different ways to create our Power BI Dataflow!
During this entire step-by-step series, first, create PPU Workspace and then download and install data gateway. Once we install our data gateway, we will create our first data flow. We will load the tables from our On-Premise SQL Server database. Once we load the data we will perform ETL operation in PowerQuery Online. Once the dataflow is saved, we will refresh our data and configure the schedule refresh as well.
Stay tuned throughout the entire session for more information.

Hi Dhruvin, if a sales team added changes in a dataset, how do i determine the dataflow from Db to dashboard? Also if those changes directly affect my reports how do we tackle that issue?
Thank you so much Dhruvin! This video helps me to understand Dataflow clearly.
Glad it helped!

Sir Please explain why do we use datafolw.
Please watch part one
Hi Dhruvin, sorry i have A question from the company I work for. We are trying to create a dataflow in a workspace by connecting to a table of a dataflow in another workspace. We can connect to the table, but the new dataflow can only replicate that table, we cannot save the new dataflow after applying a simple filter of the table of the original dataflow. The new dataflow cannot be saved after applying a simple transformation to the original table (message from power BI referencing “Linked tables”).thank you
