Another issue is whether it’s actually better to just restore it back to its original military configuration, as far as value/cost. However, if heating it up the swivel is the only thing that’s stopping me, it seems pretty simple from how you explained it. I don’t foresee any problems if I just simple hear it up and let it fall off. But once it’s off, it’s off, so I want to make sure it is what I want to do. Thanks again.
Tristan, would you be so kind as to measure your forearm and barrel band dimensions from the front of the receiver? I am replicating an army hunter rifle on a 1942 Sauer m98 action and other than scaling off of your shooting video, cannot find any definative source. Thanks in advance!
