We are still segregated in 2019 though. But when it comes to subject on black empowerment, white people all understand that white supremacy is about dominating black people specifically. As a white American. I'm tired of seeing my people take discussions of diversity and the blight of minorities in this country as a personal attack. If people would take the time to think objectively and outside themselves we'd be better off. All people are asking for is your ear, and your undivided attention. If I can take one thing, out of the many things that Killer Mike is saying, it'd be to take the time to learn the history of people who don't look like me, learn how and why it coincides with the history that I've been taught, and start building relationships with people outside of the bubble I was raised in. A good start to me, would be to take the shock value out of the words "white privilege", and instead of being defensive try and learn something.

Becuase he accepted it as his own(i guarantee he's never whipped a slave in his life)taking it personal..which makes him a bit of an asshole. Just a bit. If he was smarter or had a quicker wit.. he coulda said something like "im not my ancestors.. i shun their actions.. you cannot connect me to savages i dont even know..". Killer mike is a behemoth of words and expression in comparison to the dj. In a sense killer mike was a bit of a bully knowing very well that his abilities in debate far exceed "the dj". In the end the dj said he'd watch the show and give km his review via phone call. I guess that's an example of how education works. Humans are capable of learning/evolving.. no?

Damn Killer Mike broke that down with the quickness!!! Not knowing our world history in detail robs all of us of an appreciation of all our contributions to American life. He's totally right about this point and would def help to in our politically and culturally divisive time!!! I always felt since the Pledge Allegiance to the Grind Series Mike had the potential to have as big of an influence as Cube or PE in the 90s. I'm thankful that his voice is out there because he combines street savy with intelligence for the rap audience!!!

Saw a clip of Killer Mike speaking on Tik Tok and had to find this video. I can confidently say everything he was saying was so articulate, educated, and rational, for anyone to understand. The fact that the white DJ took offense to what he said is a perfect example of what has happened throughout history. It's all about learning your neighbors and growing together. These discussions are NOT easy but very necessary.

As a person who wants to teach high school history, I listen to Killer Mike and others that are not white like me to get different perspectives and how I can better myself at teaching... I’ll be taking this one all the way. He’s speaking truth, I don’t remember learning about minorities throughout history until the civil rights era. I’ll happily add many of these people as he’s mentioned as possible.

The Caucasian gentleman's reaction to what Mike was saying is exactly the issue that has led to the war against brown people. There was no reason for him to feel attacked when Mike simply mentioned that we as black people need to pull our money out of other businesses and spend it with ourselves. (JUST AS OTHERS DO) Group economics is the only solution for brown Americans. I'll do part as far as entrepreneurship, ownership and mentorship, I pray the vast majority of people that look like me do the same.
