This FAF banter is just too good
Should have spammed soul rippers near the end instead of monkeylords against sera OC SACUs and fatboys. Not that it would have changed the outcome of the game, just grinds my gears to see all that mass go to waste.
Monkeylords build faster and get out doing damage sooner. Rippers are better, yes, but not when the threat is THAT close.

Regarding Equilibrium. I agree completely that it is stupid to have it ranked, and I agree that favoritism is always bad. However, if you don't mind me asking what is your objection to the mod itself? Quite a few of the changes make logical sense ie the naval rebalance, changes to Cybran and UEF T3 air. They also have a fair few bug fixes and Quality of Life improvements, and they managed to make Titans useful.
I firmly believe that you are entitled to your opinion of EQ, I just want to understand the reasoning behind it.
There should be different rank bases for every serious semi-official "big changes" mod.
My main complaints are against the people, and lesser complaints about the mod. It was handled badly, did not deserve to be ranked, and there are lots of things changing in FAF right now without consulting the community or properly testing anything, and most of those changes are just things being moved from equilibrium to the main game.
I like how Krizzle is all like "lol top wins now, better bend over Brnk", then all of a sudden "But (Artiller)Y tho?"
Anyone else thinks brnks base looks like pennywises head at the beguinning of the game ?
Brnk you sound kind of mad about the equilibrium mod. I haven't played it yet, is it really that bad (or is it just the way it was implemented)?
The mod has some good things and some bad. Mainly it is just different, very different from the regular balance. It does NOT need to be ranked and it does NOT need to leak over to the regular game. Let it be a mod, and leave it at that.

Do keep in mind that Supcom does not support multi-threaded CPUs, so a higher core count is more important. Graphically, Supcom is not very intense, but the amount of projectile simulation + single thread only + 32-bit memory limitations can place a huge strain on the processor.
i have an HP elitebook 8460p refurbed that i got for 300, and it can run the game just fine.
Not going to argue with that. I was only mentioning what I have been told. (And what my crappy computer has taught me over long games.)

when horrible mods, especially ones that affect balance, get pushed into being put in the game all we can hope is someone comes out with a mod that will put the balance back lol to use mods to defeat game destroying mods made a legit part of the game.... the irony
I was seriously mad when they just dropped the aeon supershield with the reason: "nobody used it anyway because expenisve."
I used it all the time. It was my favorite upgrade and ridiculously powerful. Also it wasn't that expensive. Cybran mazercom is also expensive...
Since then i hate the balance team. They ruin the game bit by bit...
