Bronco RAPTOR vs SASQUATCH Breakdown!

- When we take our new Bronco Raptor out to the trails to test its off road capabilities, we tend to get quite a few comments regarding its weak steering and suspension components. Now don't get us wrong, we can break a tie rod on just about anything if we wanted to. But a lot of people don't seem to understand the build differences between the Ford Bronco Raptor and a base Bronco...even one equipped with a Sasquatch package.

1mm IS a lot because of how stress works on the tie-rods. The failures are buckling failures and buckling resistance, "strength" is proportional to the fourth power of radius/diameter. So 15mm vs 14mm is only 7% bigger, but it is 30% stronger for the applied load.
Yea but the Raptor is twice as heavy
How does that break down for the 37s on the raptor?
Thanks for all the information on the Bronco. Huge jeep guy here but honestly love the Offroad community. Keep it coming you guys
Absolutely love how you guy's stay neutral to brand loyalty and keep showing killer mods to any platforms you get your hands on! Can't wait to see this project with the new mods! Great job guy's!
I always enjoy your videos ...maybe because everything is so natural and Brittany always has this happy personality
Can't wait to see the build. Hope you enjoyed your trip. God bless take care.
Keep up the fun contact!! Love you guys!! Can’t wait for the Portal axles!!!
You guys crack me up. That things going to be insane. Look forward to it!!
Great Video!
As others mentioned, the 2023 Bronco Wildtrack now gets the HOSS 3.0 standard, which includes "the Ford Performance Severe-Duty upgraded steering rack from the Bronco Raptor, upgraded inner and outer tie rods."
HOSS 3.0 was an option on the 2022 Bronco Wildtrack and I don't think available on the Badlands, or other variants.
Innuendos? Double entenderás? You two are so much fun. Meanwhile, I wish I could afford a BRaptor. Yours Is of course going to be amazing, as we all expect it to be. StepChild will always be my favorite. Watching her grow along with y'all has been a blast to see! Missed you at Winter Jamboree but ran into Chris and Bec, who were full of smiles as usual. LIteBriteNationGoingVacation!
Love the video and the innuendos. Your Bronco rocks. Love you guys ❤😊
Just got my Braptor today! I cant be more excited
My Wildtrak has HOSS 3.0. The same tie rods and steering rack as the Raptor.... Also, HOSS 3.0 includes FOX 2.5 internal bypass shocks.
sure it does shirley for sure
Yea no it isn’t .lol the raptor is a totally different vehicle.
It’s going be an awesome build❤😊
Portals!? Yes, and reduction. You guys and gals rock!
Thanks for the tires and wheels tip ...I didn't know that
I think I may have mentioned portals a couple videos ago. 😊 can’t wait to see it!!
Love the content!
Can't wait for the specials 😍
I love the size of the rack,
I love you guys 😂 you always make my day better!!! My face hurts from laughing so much!!! ❤❤💯🤙
Great video thank you!
Great video y’all as usual thanks
Can’t wait to see it on portal’s ❤❤🎉🎉 you guys are awesome together 😂😂❤❤❤
Freaking love that Raptor Bronco !!
Can’t wait to see it!🤙🏽🤙🏽
Great video guys! You guys should also measure the top of Kevin’s head with his new hairdo …. I love it kev.
We just bought a new 2022 gladiator and was interested in your thoughts about what we should do first? We have the bumpers and winch and it’s a rubicon lol. We are fairly new to the overlanding/off roading world. We have done some wheeling in my Sahara and my wife’s Rubicon at SMORR and in Arkansas. We love the channel guys and everything you’re doing. Keep it up and say hey to Chris and Bec for us
Would portal axles fix the deficiencies on a Badlands? Not all but some? Would be interesting to know for folks considering that route. Awesome videos, been watching some older ones, you guys deserve every bit of success you’ve earned. Keep at it.
I would be soooo happy with one of those
You guys are great
Man I can’t wait to get a VIN and build date for my BRaptor
Thanks for making this video guys. I'm trying to get a 23 but even if banks open for ordering it will probably get pushed to 2024 build year..
Me too. I heard end of March for the order banks opening.
Thanks that is awesome
Luv u 2. You guys are the best.
Hey kids..., no surprises here! Just good old show & tell. Show what ya have & tell what you do w/ it... . Fun stuff! You kids rock...!
I always really enjoy your videos!!! Fun to watch and very informative. Now that you show the difference between the vehicles I guess it helps to justify the price difference? Both vehicles are still pretty pricey for what your are getting I think? To much engineering and plastic I think? It would be a great fun driver but hard to spend that kind of money for a weekend car? Not sure what the MPG is but if I’m driving that kind of car I’m not thinking of that! Ha ha.
There’s a particular bronco running koh with weld 74 portals!
Love ❤️ you guys
If you got the modular steel bumper you would get the bash plates those would cover most things
the Wildtrak now has the HOSS 3.0 that has the Raptor rack and Tie rods stock
Nope, that was very short lived. They just announced that Ford is getting rid of the wildtrak for the foreseeable future.
@@KN-jw7ts Nope, they are just building less, because they are building less Sasquatch bronco in total right now. Wildtrak is standard with Sasquatch, there is no option to remove it, very much like there was no option to remove hardtop from the 4dr Wildtrak in 2021 and from 2drs for any year. Rumors are that there is a limited number of sasquatch wheels and/or Goodyear cannot produce enough tires.
@@KN-jw7ts well I own a 2022 2Door Wildtrak and I added the HOSS 3.0 that does include the Raptor steering Rack and Tie Rods. All 2023 Wildtracks come standard with the HOSS 3.0. Yes I am hearing the Wildtrack will be very limited for 2023 and possibly going away altogether now that the Raptor is out. That said, it only makes mine worth more, LOL.
Fkn hilarious vid 🤣
Hey you think it be possible to compare specs with jeep and a ranger? New ranger?
I wonder how long it will take before a yellow roped banana has to pull you out of the trails. That's an episode I'm looking forward to.Thank you for your time.
I've heard all of the 2-door Broncos have fuel tank skid plating regardless of trim level. My '22 non-Sas Outer Banks has it. 🙂
How hard/expensive is it to beef up the tie rods on a Badlands/Wildtrack?
So hope you get portals!!!
That was the best video ever😂😂😂
Do this on a 23 Wildtrak Hoss 3.0 plus extras
Just got my Bronco Raptor after have a lifted JL since 18’. I am finding zero winch options. I really want to keep the stock bumper and not have a huge winch sticking off the front. Something hidden. Any ideas?
I purchased a Raptor for about the same price as yours and am trying to get insurance. I have not been able to find anyone that will insure it for more than MSRP which is quite a bit less than I paid. Can you recommend some insurance companies that will insure a vehicle for what it actually would cost to replace it?
You two are great. The innuendos about racks, girth, length, etc were spot on. Waiting for your next video. Dan, from Alberta, Canada. 🇨🇦😅
Doesn’t the current 2023 Wildtrak have the same steering rack and tie rods as the Bronco Raptor?
get chris in shop to fab some brace for the skid plate for t case great job
I love the way Brittany speaks. If I wasn't watching the video, I would be thinking something totally different like we all did. Kevan high five👍
Love the channel, hate Fords. So got my like and a quick view, and a comment. Best I can do for you today.
About the only major part of the Bronco that wasn't changed for the Raptor was the body shell.
I love you guys 😂
Funny a$$ video...Great how you mix it up and make the content more fun. Admit I'm more of a truck guy, but drive the wife's wrangler 4xe (tuscadaro) often.
With 3.5" of extra width, I'm curious about the extra leverage and weight of the portal. I'm excited to see if you'll need more valving or more spring rate.
If they wanted portal axles they could have just bought the Mercedes G-wagon that comes with factory portal axles. Plus 4.5L turbo v8 AMG engine.
So other then small upgrades. Mainly keeping everything stock. Which is best as stock?
Bronco raptor
Bronco badlands sasquatch
Wrangler rubicon recon 392
Power wagon
Zr2
Trx
Raptor Baja
Or other?
Toyota, ect, other?
Thanks
Then best after completely upgraded everything too. Thanks
god i would love portals in my JL, im curious to see portals on your bronco
@4:49 Kevin is the goat 🤣🤣🤣
Is the Sasquatch white and raptor black by any chance
Wonder how my wildtrak HOSS3.0 compares to the HOSS4.0
74 weld. Right choice!
Our Bronco finally went into production and it looks like I will need to do quite a few upgrades
No you won't, if you know how to drive.
How do I stop this channel from suggesting videos in my feed?
By continuing to comment on every video. 🤣🤣🤣
@@LiteBrite literally first one I've clicked on and I've tried to hit report and even block channel but still getting it
Just quit watching. Pretty easy
Lol LOVE the video !
2023 Wildtrak has a little bit different suspension (HOSS 3.0 FOX) than the previous Wildtrak (HOSS 2.0 BILSTEIN)
My '22 has HOSS 3. From what my dealer said all the local '22 Wildtrak orders they filled had the 3.0 option added.
@@christopherenoch4230 it was an option on 22s, standard equipment on 23s
I feel like you're still trying to sell us on the Braptor over Jeeps, but the only thing I'm impressed with is the innuendo's in this video, and gown great that shirt looks on Brittany!
Anybody that thought or was arguing that the bronco Raptor suspension, etc., components were the same as base or sasquatch broncos just didn't bother to know the difference. It is not like Ford, kept it a secret. They released lots of diagrams specifically calling out what was changed. For me they share the same body carriage, but beyond that there are so many differences that it is really like a different vehicle. Throw the HOSS3.0 package in with some 22.5 Wildtraks and the MY23, and you have people really confused. If I had a raptor, I would still go ahead and get rid of the light duty skid plates and replace with aluminum ones. If I was setting the raptor up as a more dedicated crawler, and if I could get rid of the sway bar disconnect without all sorts of computer issues, then that would be an potential option. The system is good for parlor tricks, but a manual release or no sway bar is better in that situation. I would probably keep the rear bumper until I trashed it, then replace it. Portals, sounds fun, expensive, but probably too much for my uses.
Soooo, do u guys like it any more or any less, now that you’ve been using it for a few months now???
Confirmed Brits a size queen she wants the biggest thickest off roaders
Please have a fuckin good time on your trip!
Great video! but... you forgot to mention ride comfort. The additional girth of the control arms will make for a much smoother ride (which ladies appreciate). With solid axles you have the 2 brake pistons slamming home at the same time on both ends of the axle which makes for an up and down jarring ride. Whereas for the IFS in general you have the pistons sliding in on opposire ends at different times which most riders find very enjoyable. Now in the raptor version, you have larger pistons but the additional girth of the suspension helps smooth the ride which is a much improved "motion of the ocean" experience.
Love you guys. Take s moment to breath it all in. Safe times have a blast. Leave the SNAKE at BAE.
I wonder if they use plastic gas tanks because hitting a rock with the tank and no skid plate could cause sparks. Sparks and gas be no bueno.
So wich ones better the sasquatch or the raptor
Bigger is better! 😆 🤣 😂 Happy Trails to both of you!
Damn the first line was
Harsh 😂😂
Good morning guys, I've said it before say it again the Raptor is what customers should have got !!!
Not surprised by the portals and 40s etc etc. It’s LiteBrite, why wouldn’t you do that?
The 6x135 bolt pattern of the Bronco Raptor is the same as the F150/F150 Raptor.
experience is a ton of not breaking the front end. So many people bind the front up and boom.
Ooh. Portals. Fun.
Behemoth, monster, girth, We know. Then there was the "RACK". Hard to concentrate on the what ever the video was about. I think it was about FORDS. Again, always a fun videos. Thanks.
The threaded part on the tie rod looks thicker on the Raptor. The part you guys didn't measure. The threads not as deep, the body not as skinny,. At least by eyecrometer. Remember that it is the bottom of the thread groove that is the real body thickness of a shaft. Oh, god, now you guys have me talking like that. Just forget it.
Please bring back the 80 series!
Okay guys! If we're comparing racks...Britt wins hands down! 👍
Weren't you on a Netflix show called hyper drive
I looked at a Sasquatch at the ford dealer the other day, sticker was $78000, $8k was just for the 'offroad package'. These prices are ludicrous. For reference, I paid $63k out the door for my 2017 F350 6.7L diesel Lariat brand new.
That's what she said🤣
Well can’t get either one right now so who cares. At this rate I’ll have my Cybertruck before the Bronco. Nice vid as usual though!
It’s not so much re-engineering the Bronco suspension, rather they used the f150 raptor suspension in the braptor.
You two are two funny
The HOSS 3.0 WT and the BRaptor steering racks are the same, are they not? If it's a HOSS 2.0 WildTrak, that is a different story. Oh, so they did it right the second time... I see! I have the BRaptor/HOSS 3.0 WT steering rack on my Hardcore OBX... (LOL - Hardcore and OBX shouldn't be in the same sentence).
looking forward to your mods!!
I was going to guess 40s and portals.
Peanut loves the Braptor but the changes will piss-off Jelly Belly!
Sooo, HD means Heavy Duty Rack, not High Definition? ;)
All Wildtraks come stand with the Sasquatch package
