PIER FISHING with an ULTRALIGHT COMBO (Baffin Bay Trout Fishing)

Did some Pier Fishing with an Ultralight Combo out in Baffin Bay, Tx.
Targeted and caught a ton of Speckled Trout with a old school double Shad rig (soft plastic lures)
In my opinion this is one of the best fishing spot to night fish in Baffin Bay as it is super easy to get to and free.
I really enjoyed using my ultralight combo this trip and will continue to use it.

You should try a green waterproof light stick, and toss it out in the water. You can power it off a small battery, or any power connections the pier might have. Having the light at the bottom of the water, will cast shadows of the trout "up" so you can see them from above. This will help land more fish.

My brother and I would fish the underwater lights up in Austin, for strippers. The fish gives itself away when it swims over the light. Plus, toss it in the darkest spot, away from other lights 👍

That “ultralight” was thicc lol. I can’t tell if you had mono or braid on the UL but if it’s just a cheap mono it was probably knotting up because the line roller is not smooth enough which causes it to blow up when casting because it doesn’t take out the twists.
