    Promist is a very '80s' looking filter. I'd generally prefer to add an effect like this in post these days rather than baking it in. Promist has connotations of cheap video for me, since it was often used on video cameras back in the day to try and make them look more 'cinematic' or to help with glamour shots.

    The value of the filter should be at least 99 pence. Anything captured with the filter demands a mention of "a little bit" instead of a massive difference. All in all, the camera itself is truly impressive.

    Question, is it possible to lock it forward without any drift left or right while walking? I do walks around dying malls etc.. and I keep having to use the joystick to fix the drift of the gimbal =(

    Thanks for the review….I’ve only had the Pocket 3 for less than a week and have been considering a Black Mist filter. But having watched your video I think I’m less convinced. The 120 video looked nice but slow motion usually does. On the negative side….to me….its like you’ve filmed in a lower quality setting rather than improve the footage. It might be that our U.K. winter sun doesn’t look quite as appealing than on the coastline of some far off tropical location. Not sure that it’s worth the £39 that it seems to be priced at.
    Just as a side note, I watched many reviews saying how good the 3 is at stabilising footage. But on rougher ground as in your videos I’ve found little improvement over the 2 which is a little disappointing.
    I hope that Dji note your observation regarding the lack of magnetism on the lens. I lost my wide angle lens on the 2 for the same reason whilst placed in its protective cover.
    I’m a Dji fan but sometimes they seem to overlook the testing on a day to day use.
    Thanks for your video.

    Hmmmm. Thank you for making this, i think I'm gonna stick with the PolarPro Polarized filter i ordered. I have no idea what number it is, though it seemed lighter than the vivid 3 nd filter kit almost like an NDPL-4, but i won't know until I get it in late November. I messaged Polar Pro about more info and never got a reply back, lol! It's been a week now. I bought NDPL filters for my Gopro Hero 10 years ago, and I've only needed to use the NDPL8 here and there. The other two are just too dark. 😅 thumbs up! 👍

    I put like an amazon glass protecter on the cam and now even the regular wide angle kinda slides down cause the magnets aren't powerful enough, so I haven't used it a lot and it keeps me from buying other filters... anyway cool video man thanks!

    just got off with DJI support chat and they say DJI promist is 1/4. I use 1/8 only so this is a no go but, given the target audience, I think I get why DJI made its promist filter at 1/4. Hope they add 1/8 in their store soon.

    Can the gimbal fold itself properly when powering off with the black mist attached? Or will the gimbal face the same direction as the 2 inch screen, like when the wide angle lens is attached?

    @Calvin.The.Unfindable Před 7 měsíci

    i agree with you, they definitely missed a trick with the pro mist being unable to attach to the wide angle lens... that would have been a game changer. not sure why they decided not to do that at all. bizarre.
    another great video.

    • @iamrishio
      @iamrishio Před 7 měsíci +1

      I don’t think they did it because the the wide angle lens can be put inside the hard case while on, but you can’t do that if you stack filters. Plus, there may be another factor of too much weight affecting the gimble. I don’t think they just didn’t think of that.

    • @createdbyLez
      @createdbyLez Před 7 měsíci

      Could be that it wouldn’t fit in the gimbal without the wide angle filter

    Is it not better to use an ND filter in daylight, rather than black mist, so the shutter can be set to double the frame rate? (30fps = 1/60th sec shutter). Maybe the black mist makes more sense in low light, night footage?

    • @iamrishio
      @iamrishio Před 7 měsíci +3

      Yeah, that’s my problem with the mist filter as well. It’s either the ND filter or the Mist filter if you are shooting outside in the day time. I think I’d have to give priority for the ND filter. I don’t want some of my shots in a film with the mist filter, but other shots not.

    The problem with the Pro Mist Filter is that it’s impossible to use with an ND filter. So my question is, if you had to choose between an ND filter for the 180 degree rule, or the pro mist filter, which would you choose?

    • @angryrabbitproductions1690
      @angryrabbitproductions1690 Před 7 měsíci +2

      You can add filtration in post… but once your highlights are clipped, they are lost forever. And without the 180° shutter angle things start to look very video. I know which I would choose.

    • @ZanderRound
      @ZanderRound  Před 7 měsíci +1
