Unturned is a game that was recently released under Steam Greenlight. It is an open world zombie survival game that includes both multiplayer and singleplayer. You can craft multiple things to build forts and such. There is a great weapon system for attachments as well. Certain servers allow you just to build with each other, while others are giant player vs player matches.
In this video I covered some of the events that a user may go through. Obviously a lot of them were exaggerated. It's a great game and I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea. Everything flows very nicely in the game. The map (PEI) is not huge, but another is in the works. I personally think it's the perfect size for interaction. The game is in early stages but I can confidently say it has a lot of potential.

I've never once played the game online, but I have played over LAN with a friend a bunch.
When I host a LAN game, it brings in all my inventory and my SP world, so how exactly does the multiplayer saving work? I don't want it to bring my whole inventory in, only be sniped randomly and lose it all. So should I just dump everything in chests, or are the inventories entirely separate?
Theres synced and non synced servers. Go to the no synced servers if you dont wanna lose your loot :)
Non sync means you won't drop your stuff?
Jethro Marlowe Juliano Non-sync means it won't carry over your inventory items, you'll basically just start over (I think).
but i think most servers are using sync arent they? so whats possible if you WANT to start over (i often want that e.e) if you hold the windows button (if playing on windows, no idea how on mac or linux) and press R then a run window will come up, then type in "regedit" just like that, a prompt will show up, press yes, then press "HKEY_CURRENT_USER", then press Software, then you press "Smartly Dressed Games" and here is your Unturned data. Now that you got that you right click the file named "Unturned" inside "Smartly Dressed Games" and press Export, then find somewhere to save it, cause you dont wanna lose it e.e, after saving delete the file named "Unturned" and start the game, it should now be restarted:) Then if you want your other save back just Export the one you are using now and then find where you saved it, double click it and press yes on the two promts thats showing up, here you go, your other file is back:) That is how to have multiple saves, hope it gets easier in a new update, but this is quite easy when you get it:)

I played on a lan server with my friend we could gascans, food, cars, but we couldn't any freaken canteens to store water, so if my teammate didn't kill me or the zombies didn't kill, I dehydrated to death!

You NEED a weapon just to kill a zombie. Players are just as deadly, because they won't listen to you for shit. They just shoot randomly at you.
And hilariously, I got killed once from an off-screen person in a police car.
Oh, and when you start, you're naked. You can't keep things like shirts you find in-game, so you have to get keys or buy the gold edition, which is five dollars.

You play with friends by using Hamachi, just create a room, let them join, and enjoy playing.
