@@XSemperIdem5 No you're not! 😁 Born & raised in LA & constant sunshine & "perfect weather" (let's not count the curtain of smog! Lol) are kind of a drag. I love cold, rainy & windy places too. Lived in Wisconsin for 10 years & loved the cold (not the snow & ice though...haha) & rainy weather is so soothing.
A 400 year old tree is old. But the new buildings in Venice Italy are 500 years old. That blew me away.
The samurai didn't trust the sakura because they were so fleeting.

The Ishiwari Zakura is so cool! Cherry blossoms are so fragile and only there for a short time, but their tree still managed to split that massive rock. Fascinating stuff!
The cherry blossoms are coming into their peak in Ireland at the moment, I love spotting them all on the bus to work🥰

Oh, I feel your pain so much with all that wind! I swear around here as soon as the weather got warm enough to spend outside, we got hit with either blasting winds or dreary drizzle every single day😭 I'm glad you got to catch the sakura before it all got blown off the trees, though!
The scenery is so pretty! All the sakura looked really pretty, too. The wind probably feels relaxing while walking around a beautiful area. It looks so nice.
