- Ērgļi ir Lielciems Vidzemē, Madonas novada Ērgļu pagasta administratīvais centrs. 2007. gadā Ērgļos dzīvoja 2168 iedzīvotāji, no kuriem ap 90% latvieši. Caur Ērgļiem tek Ogres upe, uz kuras uzbūvēta Ērgļu HES. Ērgļu ciema platība ir 350 ha.#Pazīstamākie novadnieki ir Rūdolfs Blaumanis (1863 - 1908) latviešu prozaiķis un dramaturgs.

Pāvuls Jurjāns (1866 - 1948) latviešu komponists un pasniedzējs.
Juris Jurjāns (mežradznieks) (1861 - 1940) latviešu mežradznieks un pedagogs.
Andrejs Aivars (1909-1975) latviešu arhitekts.
Guntis Skrastiņš (1954-2021) latviešu aktieris, dziedātājs
Pēteris Liepiņš (1943-2022), latviešu aktieris un TV raidījumu vadītājs.###Ergli is a large village in Vidzeme, administrative center of Ergli parish, Madona region. In 2007, there were 2,168 inhabitants in Ergli, of whom about 90% were Latvians. The Ogre River flows through Ergli, on which Ergli HPP is built.
