I love V&V and TWTL, TRTD! but both albums probably wouldn't hit my top 30 favorite albums of all time. Whereas Fever and Pretty. Odd. both crack my top 15, Pretty. Odd. being my third favorite album of all time. Pretty. Odd. and Fever are so unique compared to the music being played on the radio today. There are great bands and songs, but I feel like a lot of the music played on the radio today is the same rehashed melodies and lyrics that I heard in a completely different song last week. This album and fever were both completely unique, and completely amazing. I wish they would make something like it again.

Panic was one of the first bands that I was seriously into (we're talkin about 3rd grade here..I'm currently in 12th grade) and Ryan was legit the firs guy I fangirled over. I miss Ryan and Jon but I'm still a huge fan of the band today. Their music will ALLWAYS be awesome to me.

I love brandon's vocal range, but I'm not super into the amount of high notes he incorporates in this album. I liked how he blended the highs and lows better in songs like death of a bachelor vs the current album. Tbh though, I'm just glad that he's still making music and having fun with the creative freedom that he has.

The new albums aren't the same without Ryan and Jon :( The lack of songs like the ones when the full band was together (like this one) really makes me sad because those are some of my favorite songs from the band.
I loved Panic! as it was. But everyone keeps saying they don't understand why Ryan left. This video makes it kind of obvious. Ryan was the main writer of the songs and yet Brendon (without meaning to probably) was the one that outshone him constantly, simply because he has a very powerful voice and gets really enthusiastic. Ryan was clearly more subdued but was singing more as time went on. . This song was obviously Ryan's favorite if he opted to sing it when he was usually timid. But again if you watch it Brendon gets the attention especially near the end, and you can see Ryan is like "Really?" he probably laughed it off but it was sort of his moment, one of the fewer ones he gets and Brendon got so into it he probably unwillingly outshone him. His style was also very different compared to the new direction the band was going. Pretty Odd was his style what came after sounded more generic, so he made a decision to leave. That being said I dearly miss 2006-2009 Panic! they were my favorite American band growing up but it was obvious the band wasn't perfect in terms of dynamics. Brendon was very talented and sort of an attention grabber as his personality and style made him to be, but it also meant Ryan's vision for the band was obscured as time went on, and he WAS the leader after all.It made sense that creative differences would arise eventually. .
No Ryan was always a little timid about singing and he was the lead singer when the band originally formed but when Brendon filled in for him once Ryan wanted Brendon to be the singer.
There's a interview I saw where Ryan explained that when he heard Brendon sing, he said that Brendon was clearly the better singer. Ryan left because Jon and him wanted to go at different way then Brendon and Spencer. So Ryan and Jon opted to leave and create a new band.
Yes I am aware of that. They broke up because of artistic differences. But my comment is about those differences and style choices. Their dynamic on stage in this video really showcases the difference. Also how in this case, this song and the direction Panic went was more Ryan's style and it shows he was trying to be less timid and more involved. There is even his interview about this album where he as the song writer wanted Brendon to sing in a specific way and his artistic vision often had him frustrated. I am not saying jealousy was involved. But that Brendon's style is obviously different even his conduct on stage is different not just his musical influences and you can see that here.

Man I love Ryan Brendon looks so happy and I miss Spencer. Pretty. Odd. is my favorite album and this is one of my favorite songs. My heart breaks every time ):
The new albums aren't the same without Ryan and Jon :( The lack of songs like the ones when the full band was together (like this one) really makes me sad because those are some of my favorite songs from the band.
I loved Panic! as it was. But everyone keeps saying they don't understand why Ryan left. This video makes it kind of obvious. Ryan was the main writer of the songs and yet Brendon (without meaning to probably) was the one that outshone him constantly, simply because he has a very powerful voice and gets really enthusiastic. Ryan was clearly more subdued but was singing more as time went on.
. This song was obviously Ryan's favorite if he opted to sing it when he was usually timid. But again if you watch it Brendon gets the attention especially near the end, and you can see Ryan is like "Really?" he probably laughed it off but it was sort of his moment, one of the fewer ones he gets and Brendon got so into it he probably unwillingly outshone him. His style was also very different compared to the new direction the band was going. Pretty Odd was his style what came after sounded more generic, so he made a decision to leave.
That being said I dearly miss 2006-2009 Panic! they were my favorite American band growing up but it was obvious the band wasn't perfect in terms of dynamics. Brendon was very talented and sort of an attention grabber as his personality and style made him to be, but it also meant Ryan's vision for the band was obscured as time went on, and he WAS the leader after all.It made sense that creative differences would arise eventually. .
No Ryan was always a little timid about singing and he was the lead singer when the band originally formed but when Brendon filled in for him once Ryan wanted Brendon to be the singer.
There's a interview I saw where Ryan explained that when he heard Brendon sing, he said that Brendon was clearly the better singer. Ryan left because Jon and him wanted to go at different way then Brendon and Spencer. So Ryan and Jon opted to leave and create a new band.
Yes I am aware of that. They broke up because of artistic differences. But my comment is about those differences and style choices. Their dynamic on stage in this video really showcases the difference.
Also how in this case, this song and the direction Panic went was more Ryan's style and it shows he was trying to be less timid and more involved. There is even his interview about this album where he as the song writer wanted Brendon to sing in a specific way and his artistic vision often had him frustrated.
I am not saying jealousy was involved. But that Brendon's style is obviously different even his conduct on stage is different not just his musical influences and you can see that here.
