@@imtheabsolute1161 if you yoyoed you would understand. Basically his teammate (Evan nagoa) was retiring and put on a much more artistly pleasing performance that literally everyone preferred over Gentry's but then Gentry won by .3 points so Evan couldn't even win his very last time on stage.

I am a bloody yoyo beginner in retirement! I watched a lot yoyo performance to dream when I was young! That man performing very nice and synchronize to the Musik. That makes him to the champion he deserve! Best yoyo performance I saw until! My congratulations to Mr. Stein from Germany!

This has a very similar vibe to dance battles. The special moves and stops on key beats of music, audience going crazy when you do something cheeky, even when not super difficult, but also going crazy when you do a power move.
Facts. Thats a huge part of what I love about it.
This is by far my favorite routine Gentry has ever done. I watched it live, and probably about twice a day since then! A Very well deserved victory. Congrats Gentry!

I enjoy the fact that he's moving his body to the music too not just the yoyo. I remember when I still played the show was the yoyo and only the yoyo. Which lets be honest is impressive too just in a different way.
