You are the hero!!! I have been watching other video tutorials on how to make search drop down list in excel in ActiveX Combo and it was such a long procedure.... But when I came across your method, it didn't take me 5 min to finish something that I have been spending an entire day to figure out how to make it worked -- and it wasn't even working!! Thanks so much for this brilliant video tutorial!!! What a prodigy!
I watched for 3 minutes and learned how to do things that the other tutorials took so much longer to explain...and they did it the hard way! Thank you for your video!!!!

Sweet! Thanks.
Thanks for the tutorial.
I'm trying to build a form whereby I use a drop down list in one cell, then the next adjacent cell I have another dropdown list. but that is using one of many lists dependent on the item selected in the first cell.

GREAT video! I'm very new at this and you made it really easy to understand, so please don't kill me for asking a dumb question. I got the whole video, but how can I tie the developer combo box to numbers? Example, when I use VLOOKUP I can select the table array and then choose the column with numbers. How do I do that with the combo box?
Thanks in advance!
Very nice and helpful
Very Good : ) easy listening voice also
Thank you for the tutorial. Very informative. Is there a way to raise a warning message if the same drop down item is selected twice? lets say in your tutorial example, you should not select the same month twice. Is there a way to warn you if you happen to select, lets say January twice? Thanks in advance

Assume I have 3 lists. List 1 has options A, B and C. If A is selected then I need a drop-down menu that is fetched from list 2 in an adjacent cell. I also want another cell next to it to have another drop-down menu that fetches its data from list 3 if A is selected as well. This means that the drop-down menus created both are dependent on list 1. How do I do this?
How can I have multiple selections from drop box appear in cell???

How to learn your 10 key calculator
If I have multiple cells in my list that have the same names in them.. those names will appear multiple times in my dropdown list? 🤔
Agree with Blake; very simple but cannot see the purpose of form control or ActiveX. what is it's application for the table below?
+Gareth Standen a reason to use ActiveX or form controls is the ability to position and size the controls wherever you want. Suppose you want to cluster several controls in one area, but if you make them directly in cells, the controls will be all spread out, all different sizes, and not look so nice.
ActiveX controls are a different beast.
The main reason for ActiveX controls is the amount of formatting that you can do with them. As she showed, you can change the font, the font size and color.
However, I was warned that ActiveX controls are the devil. Sure enough, I learned that they are very unstable. They're known to stop working when there are upgrades to Excel. And if you share a workbook with other people, ActiveX controls may not work for everyone. Some folks might have ActiveX disabled and refuse to enable ActiveX.
They can be ticking time bombs.
If anyone can help me...I made the drop down box... however only in the first box...its going to be a on going spread sheet. Help!!!

HOW TO CHANGE SIZE AND FONT IN FIRST FORM CONTROL
Aha! There you go.. =)
I was looking for how to create a multi select list, but this wasn't it.
Ok, this is weird, I did it and it didn't work. I kept clicking and it seems it took a while for the formula to actually kick it. Weird.
I got an idea of what I need to do but I can't read what it says on the screen. If I didn't know about something beforehand there's no way I can see what you are selecting because the text is so small. In fact it's blurred. But thanks anyway.
+Kevin James You just need to play it in HD. Problem solved.
I wish you can slow down a bit....just a suggestion
Very Good. Need to explain some terminology better, such as validation.
G-U-L
Hot voice.
Your mouse click is so loud.
Boring and fall to sleep when watching this video
please go slow. hard to catch.
Not a very good presentation. No good explanation up front as to what you're trying to accomplish. Then poor explanation along the way of each step. Too much assumed.
I agree. I now know how to make 3 different types of drop down but I don't know why I might choose one over the other, I don't know what happened with the Form Control type when she changed the cell link from E16 to D16 - why? Would I want to do that - what happens if I do or don't? It was very clear on how to do it but not why.
thanks!
