- Metro stations seen are:
Gateshead, Pelaw, Hebburn, Jarrow, Bede, Simonside, Tyne Dock, Chichester (South Tyneside), South Shields, North Shields, Monkseaton, Whitley Bay, Cullercoats, Tynemouth, Meadow Well, Percy Main, Howdon, Hadrian Road, Wallsend, Walkergate, Chillingham Road, Byker, Manors, Monument, West Jesmond, Jesmond, Haymarket and Central Station.
At 20:20 the 2 Chinese people sitting opposite me came up to me and accused me of videoing them once I got off the train at South Shields. I caught up with them in South Shields town centre, showed them the footage and they said sorry.
Date filmed 5/2/10
Wel done! Your camera work is excellent. I am reading a novel where a murder takes place near West Monkseaton station and I find your video gives a good impression of journeys on the train. I will be looking out any for any other videos you have posted on the Whitley Bay area. Hope you can post your ipod stuff. Much appreciated as I live in NZ after years in the North East and these videos bring back happy memories.
@youngelvisnightowls Didnt notice that. This is why I have now stopped using my camcorder on the Metro because there are a lot of camera shy people who use the system and they do not like been filmed.
I now use my ipod touch because the lens is almost invisible.
Basically Id rather be in the job centre than on a metro train. Well the metro is just as depressing as the job centre.
Where was that class 180 heading too?
probably heaton depot this is when grand central started getting 180's from fgw
@bakedbeanishdragon sorry my kindle just spazzed. great vid!

Hi
@Alex Dodds
I have gone off the metro's lately, much prefer the likes of the London Underground.In my opinion or really it's fact! , metro is scruffy dirty and even a bit unsafe at times. Also with all the breakdowns of the trains and poor frequencies, it really lets the side down. Sad really! Considering it used to be a great system, it has the potential to be good system, it's just how it's run and some people who use it is the problem.
Aye I love the tube and with the metro I always use that checky watch to report sightings of checkys. The metro if I am honest is a job centre on rails because it is as depressing as a jobcentre.
Metro really needs new trains, and to be brought up into the 21st Century not 1980!
Tom Jardine cool
