    Very interesting -I wonder if, one day, you will return to England. It may be an idea to build a closed community, with the slow life that we all desire, in England!

    How did you became a deputy manager of a nursery? Did you work your way up to this position? Also what qualification did you need for this position?

    • @MyBritishPakistaniLife
      @MyBritishPakistaniLife  Před 4 měsíci

      I studied Education studies with Psychology and Counselling at Uni. But I think I became a deputy because I really enjoyed my job and was promoted every time an opportunity arose.

    You said people are not that friendly. Is it because your speaking english and not urdu with them. Is it because your making a big show of coming from uk?. If you tried to blend in more, you would be ok

    • @MyBritishPakistaniLife
      @MyBritishPakistaniLife  Před 5 měsíci +3

      Good question. Erm.. no, I don't speak English with the local people in my area.
      Am I making a big show of coming from the UK.. not that I'm aware of, not actually sure how one would even do that 🤔
      Blend in.. when people are open hearted and friendly, they're like this with everyone, even if a person isn't 'blending in'. Some people weren't friendly, even after I tried multiple times.
      Anyway, since then, I've met plenty of amazing people here. Was just challenging in the beginning.

    • @MyBritishPakistaniLife
      @MyBritishPakistaniLife  Před 5 měsíci

      Great question, I would explore the options when in that situation I guess. I know many people have had great experiences here. I know some women prefer to go back to the UK to have babies as its familiar and prefer to have the baby registered there.

      It ain't all roses with the NHS, you do realize?? I remember really early morning, East London on the labor ward, no staff, one nurse, no doctors, getting told no info, no referrals, just waiting.
      One poor lady, practically miscarried right there, while not getting seen. It was the hospital's fault, from my observation, it will happen a lot, especially from Asians, their concerns, pains, problems, get ignored until the baby is dead.

    • @MyBritishPakistaniLife
      @MyBritishPakistaniLife  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Yes, it's become apparent that black and South Asian women are more likely to die during childbirth due to negligence. Their needs are often ignored.

    You mentioned better weather but the summers in Pakistan are brutal, only place that are cool in that time is murree and northerm areas. I think it's easier for both of you to settle down but it could be difficult for children later on. Also it's not the greatest place for a child to grow up, school environment are just scary to say the least, worse than the west. High schools, universities all influenced by the west

    • @MyBritishPakistaniLife
      @MyBritishPakistaniLife  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Yes, it does get pretty unbearable to be outdoors in the summer. But apart from that, we have beautiful blue skies even in the winter 🙂
      If ever in the future we decide living here isn't for us anymore, we will consider other options.
      But for now, alhamdulillah, it's great.

    • @jimbocho660

      The Pakistani high school and university environment is nothing like anything in the West.

    • @itsammar92
      @itsammar92 Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@jimbocho660 You are right, it might be equally as bad or 10x worse. I personally went to a high school in pak, and witnessed many fights, kids breaking tables, chairs, and just being generally chaotic. The way of learning is also just slave like where you are constantly filling out notebooks and not actually doing any proper learning. Oh did I mention cheating be such a norm? Now I didn't go to uni there but from what I've heard it's much worse than the school communites.
      For eg, western parties , open haram realtionships, drug use. The universities in Pakistan are really off the charts when it comes to haram environment. Is it bad in the west? sure but not as crazy and open like it is in Pakistan. People act like insaan here and follow basic rules/guidelines. I would never want my children to study in the educational system there

    • @jimbocho660
      @jimbocho660 Před 5 měsíci

      @@itsammar92 I've worked at several Pakistani universities. The students were very immature for their ages and could be rowdy. In other respects, however, the environment was far better than in Western universities.

      Your very ignorant. I am from the UK lived in pakistan for 2 years as my mum moved there ended up forcing them to come back as education is easier in the UK. Alwsys go back and say 6 months at a time invest in land and houses. Yes I do that as a female. The world is bigger then just what you know.
