I'm definitely not a beginner I have been growing veggies for over 40 plus years but every once in awhile I learned something new by watching your channel we're never too old for that. I also enjoy watching the videos that Nancy shows us a different ways to make different meals. I think your channel is one of the best when it comes to showing others how to grow their own food
Thank you! I moved to Central Florida on the east coast many years ago. I also grew up with a family where both parents and grandparents had large gardens and canned for many years in Illinois. I moved to Florida and failed so got discouraged. I am so thankful that I have found the success that you and Nancy have found and going to to try again. We are both recently retired and can now dedicate the time. When you have eaten home grown vegetables and fruits nothing can ever get close to the taste. Thank you again for giving me hope.
Hello, y'all! I'm not a new gardener, but have never done a fall garden. Between raising kids and working, I just never had time. But now I'm retired and I'm going to do it!! Y'all are such a blessing and fantastic teachers! Thank you so much!
What a great way to tell beginning gardeners (and everyone) how to have a fall garden. Yes indeed, timing is everything, and counting backward ensures that we know when to plant to have a fall garden. It's common to think "fall garden - plant in the fall", and then of course it's too late. So much good advice here, even down to the timing of buying seeds. I clicked back on the cabbages growing in 5 gallon buckets on the 5 gallon grow tables! Magnificent! Because you provided plans and the demonstration, I have built 3 of them myself. And they are not just grow tables to me. Building them helped me deal with some sadness and depression, along with a couple of serious health issues; the accomplishment of each of them really made me feel hopeful. Thank you very much. Having grown over 2000 lbs/yr of veggies for friends, family, and community, I would hardly call myself a beginner gardener, but I continually come across very useful pearls in your "beginner" videos. Always fun to learn from different perspectives and techniques trialed through experience. Thanks for sharing!

One thing I've learned about my attempts to start a fall garden is that each climate is very different with their approach. We quickly go from very hot to very cold. I'm planting my fall garden now while it's still 80s or 90s. If I wait for consistent 70s and below, it will be right before our first freeze and they won't have time to mature before the cold sets in. Made that mistake way too many times. The only ones I'm waiting until were out of the 80s and 90s are the ones that are quick to mature and can bolt easily.

Another way to find videos on certain topics such as container potatoes or watermelon is to open up your channel and go to your Playlists. My sister and I just started our attempt at potatoes so it was great to be able to go to your Playlist to refresh our memory on how long the growing season is, how to prep the container, etc...
