hi, this is very helpul! just wanted to ask, for propanone, why couldnt it be the methyl one because the peak didnt go all the way to the bottom

Hi Goodness, The methyl one had a double bond as it was called 2-methylbut-2-ene. The double bond is not shown in the propanone one hence that how you tell them apart. The double bond peak is in a slightly different range and not as strong.
