I'm not familiar with this actress but it sounds like she has a wonderful sense of self and was not going to let Hollywood define her.
She plays one of my favourite movie characters, Lisbeth Salander- the lead role in the Millennium Trilogy. ie. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (original Swedish version), and the two sequels The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest.
She absolutely nails the role and all three films are amazing and I can't recommend them highly enough. They are brutal but really well-written and believable.
She is one of the actresses where, when i see that she is in a movie, i want to see it. Simply because no matter what, she will always do something interresting, with her character. The movie may be bad or it may be good, but she is always interresting.

Noomi, you deserved a better fate in Covenant. You should had been the lead in that instead of Fassbender. 😥
I agree, in the original script she was supposed to have a major role, she was the face of the new franchise, but the studio got experimental and didn't give importance to her role as lead, thus the rest is history and Alien Covenant floped.
A crap film....the story is a bit of a stretch and the splatter is too much....I missed Noomi during the whole movie....and cursed Ridley Scott as a traitor
