The channel “conversations with a calvinist” used to have an instructional video on how to witness if you are a Calvinist. the video included him saying to never tell people Jesus loves them or died for them specifically, but to vaguely share the gospel. It is off CZcams now. I guess all of my challenges in the comment section made him delete it? Or maybe I just can’t find it. If you find it please share the link.

Calvinism wrecked my world, I am not the same person I was, I don't witness and have the love for the lost like I use to, I constantly agonize over if I am of the elect, I can't pray because I don't know if I am one God loves and I can't read the bible without anxiety, fear and condemnation. I am so glad I heard your testimony and your exhortation to get back to the word and let the Holy Spirit teach me.

      John 6:35-40 says:
35Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; the one who comes to Me will not be hungry, and the one who believes in Me will never be thirsty. 36But I said to you that you have indeed seen Me, and yet you do not believe. 37Everything that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I certainly will not cast out. 38For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that of everything that He has given Me I will lose nothing, but will raise it up on the last day. 40For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”

This was respectful but brutal. You absolutely exposed the absurdity of Calvinism, in this video.
You communicate in such a compelling manner.
Divine determinism makes everything pointless, as you mentioned.
When I think about how many of the most popular preachers today are Calvinist, it really puts into perspective how Jesus teaches us to receive truth like children. Learning and education does not equate to discernment. Quite often it simply leads to indoctrination.
This video was amazing. Could have listened for hours! Well done. Matt

Many moons ago, early in my conversion, I felt “forced” to believe (although I was radically delivered from my sins!). One night I had a dream where these elders anointed my head and the oil went on my forehead and then INTO my brain. I woke up and I had this awareness that I could CHOOSE to follow Jesus or not. After feeling that freedom, I determined to continue following Jesus because He is the truth!

Great videos Alana. I’ve never been a Calvinist praise God, I know a few of them, they never talk about it so I didn’t know much about their beliefs. About 6 months ago I started watching a few Apologia, Macarthur, and White videos, everything was great until I noticed something that wasn’t when I heard them speak of Total depravity and regeneration etc. After realizing they were Calvinists, I’ve been looking into the doctrine, and was shocked to find out what they teach. Ever since I’ve been on a mission to try and tell the truth of Gods Word to them. I was amazed how anyone could believe these teachings and interpret Gods Word that way, particularly when you look at the origins of the doctrine. It is truly a masterful deception by the enemy designed to limit Gods Sovereignty (despite what they think), limit Christs atonement and change the very nature of salvation, and Gods character. Keep up with what you’re doing, you are helping others to see clarity in the scriptures. Let’s pray that the Holy Spirit will remove the “calvanistic lenses” from any Calvinist that watches your videos.

I am so very thankful for you sharing your story with us. Long ago in my baby Christian life, I happened to come across a little book written by A W Tozer called, "The Knowledge of the Holy". With my Bible in hand as I read, I gleaned so much from this impactful book! All throughout the years, each time I came across it in my bookcase, I would take it out and read it again. The "knowledge" of this precious book actually kept me from slipping down the slope of Calvinism when the church I attended (and in which I was deeply involved in) started subtly going down the direction of Calvinism. Because of what I learned through Scripture with the help of this book, there was no way I could accept this teaching. Calvinism goes totally against God's character and attributes. I had many discussions with the Pastor of that church, and it came to the point that I had to leave. It was so painful to leave the people that I loved...but I had to. Shortly after I left, I came across Leighton Flowers (that was a Divine Appointment!) and he was exactly who I needed to hear at this point in my life to confirm that I had made the right decision (because I questioned myself if I truly "knew" the Gospel because Calvinist are so persuasive). Keep it up and can't wait to watch your other videos. Thanks again and God bless you and yours!

I would accept all these teachings from John MacArthur, John Piper Wretched Radio, RC Sproul, Douglas Wilson. Even trying to read Calvin, Augustine and Jonathan Edwards. But every couple of months saying more and more there has to be an objection to Calvinism. I have to say I love those teachers but I want to confess to the world that the Love of God is more than Calvinism can display. I appreciate what you are doing please keep these coming.

We are of course depraved, but not totally since God made us in his image with a heart, a conscience and a will. Job 1:1 proves it, as do Noah aNd Enoch. No one deserves heaven but we were created so we could choose him or the world. Hundreds of OT and NT scriptures testify to this.

Alana, I am thanking God so much that He caused me to see this and the previous video. My story is extreme but really lays out the horrific consequences that can result when Calvinism is allowed to play itself out and it’s true fruit is shown. I ended up having to lose and leave all my friends and family for the sake of the gospel and have been asking God what He wants of me. I’ve felt like I don’t understand why He would reveal the truth to me when I don’t feel I have the gifts to communicate it to others and so often get discouraged when people only want to debate. My sister is a teacher but she uses her gifts to teach the bad news (Calvinism and distorted election) and we no longer have contact. I’m so encouraged to see a sister in Christ using her gifts to help people get back to the truth. The writings of George MacDonald are so helpful and are what helped me see I did not need to walk away from God - just Calvinism. If you ever decided to use your Patreon account to lead a ladies study and discussion and the membership was affordable I would so be in. I have not listened to both videos completely cause I really need to go slow and chew on it and ask questions but I will be sure to keep at it. God bless from Canada.

He focuses on obedience to what you already understand in the Scriptures and how that leads to more understanding. I honestly didn’t stop believing in Calvinism because someone had a good argument against it. I stopped believing when I started obeying the words of Jesus consistently like a child and then some things just became obvious through what can only be called divine revelation. God reveals Himself to little children and hides himself from the wise and prudent. Calvinism is prudent but it’s not true to the character of God.

    @DRNMD12161 Před rokem +6

Thank you for this. You have wrestled with so many of the same questiones I had. I have had a rough church history, with many false churches (NAR, charasmatic, female led congregational, lukewarm and megachurch to name a few) and some shoddy foundation laid and I was taken under the wing by a reformed calvinist friend, whose husband is a pastor. I did Bible study with some of her church for years, and through the years I got so much more hopeless feeling. I didn't blindly accept but questioned all these things, and I was told I just wasn't there yet, that God was God and could do anything He wanted, so who was I question His ways. My three main contentions were: 1. God wasn't loving if He created people solely to go to hell with no hope-it was cruel . This bothered me A LOT and it went contrary to all the verses about how loving and patient and kind and merciful God was. This was no love I wanted a part of . 2. How would you ever know if you were elect or not elect? We were told to look at our works and fruit and that bad fruit didn't come from a good tree. I saw bad fruit in my life, things like bitterness inside me bc of having so many trials at once and a hopelessness in a sad/hopeless situation, and I was trying to figure out how I could have this bad fruit in me, was I a bad tree? THis was drilled into me again and again, my works, my fruit, and my tree. I got a point this summer where I was ready to be done with all things God. When you start to feel like its hopeless bc everything in your life is a sad, depressing hopeless disaster and then your fruit is proving you must be a bad tree and God hates and has condemned you anyways....there is no good news in any of it. I was hanging by a thread with my relationship with God. BUT what bothered me even more than that was 3. If this is all laid out and we are just following our master plan God created, then we are just robots following code. And if that is life, what a meaningless hopeless life it is for all of us, saved and unsaved. I don't find any comfort in "discovering" that I am a puppet being forced to play the part assigned to me. That is the kind of thing that leaves you laying in bed feeling suffocated, that we are just cogs in a machine; that free will is forced will. It was all just one hopelessness after another. I ended up quitting the group this fall, I couldn't do it anymore, I was so numb to God and angry and hopeless. Instead, a close friend supported me and we went into a simple study of John, just on our own together. Just us and the Word of God. The last few months have been so freeing to me. I feel like I really understand the gospel and the good news properly for the first time in my life, without all the et ceteras. I will never consider any points of calvinism again as truth, I don't want any more mandmade teaching ever again. I want the Word and only the Word. It is so hard to find a church anywhere that doesn't give you their spin on it though. I never understand how we were supposed to be like children to enter Kingdom of God, yet I wasn't to trust the simple message I was getting out of the Bible bc it didn't align with TULIP knowledge of how one got into the Kingdom of God. It was all so theological and confusing, the more I learned, the less I understood and the more hopeless I felt.

It was hard for me at times because I had left a church that I was THRIVING in when I got married and I followed my husband to John Piper's church as my husband was in seminary there. Ever since I have had the hardest time reading the Bible, thriving in the Lord and having any fruit. I used to be an eager evangelist but their evangelism team was less than 5 people at Bethlehem even though it was a mega church. Thank you for posting these videos, Alana. I appreciate you bringing up responses that Calvinists will make to the topics and questions you bring up. To one of your points in this video, I’ve also found that Calvinists have to redefine and over complicate certain biblical texts to fit their system. It all ends up being contradictory and confusing, which does not line up with the character of God (particularly that He is not a God of confusion-1 Corinthians 14:33). I look forward to viewing any other videos you do on this subject matter. It’s definitely helpful to me as I’ve wrestled with Calvinism for many years.

The effect is the same today. Calvinism ultimately plants a poison pill, the seed of doubt, in the heart and mind of the believer that you cannot trust God to be good to you...personally. With the question of God's true love for any one individual in doubt, it can become impossible to have an intimate relationship with God based on love and trust. Once the consequences of Calvinism's claims are honestly examined, trust is undermined and replaced by fear that the love may not really be there. And without true assurance of trust there can be no loving 'relationship'. Perfect love casts out fear but if you doubt the love exists you are powerless to overcome the fear.:

What more could the enemy of our soul hope to achieve than cause men, created in God's own image, to doubt their creator truly loves them? My view is that if Satan cannot prevent someone's belief in Christ, and their eternity with God in heaven, the next best thing for him would be to undermine their relationship with our heavenly father while here on earth. And Calvinism has a way of doing that.
Those who seek to advance Calvinism do so from a position of having been deceived themselves by others who were also previously deceived. The doctrine is in a perpetual cycle of 'rinse and repeat'. They are earnest in their belief, but they are mistaken. I cannot see it any other way than the doctrine which evolved into Calvinism, and eventually TULIP, was founded on a serious false premise, a lie. And I do not believe it was Augustine or Calvin who are responsible for framing the lie, ... they fell for it.

Don't be depressed about election. Step back and ask the question "What is election". Go listen to Michael Heiser about it. Election to Bible scholars means something other than salvation. Throughout scripture it is used by God to choose an individual or group for service. Specifically to carry the Promise. Israel is clearly elect, even in their unbelieving state. There are no Ba'al worshipers in heaven. Paul was chosen/elected to bring the Gospel to the gentiles. He wasn't elected to believe in Christ.
Also, step back and realize that Israel and everyone else didn't believe in western individualism. To them, Isreal was corporately elected as God's people to carry the Promise. Israel believes they are 'corporately elected', not individually. Their election doesn't guarantee their salvation.

I grew up in arminian church my whole life and then it wasn't until I read the whole Bible for myself that I saw things that were never preached at my church. Then when I came to learn about the doctrines of grace, I knew that they were biblical because that's what I had read and have scripture to back up all 5 points. Initially I didn't "like" it, but it didn't mean that it wasn't the truth. His Spirit continues to help me and guide me and help me understand. I am relying on the scriptures alone. We just recently left our church because of lack of unity amongst Pastors on this subject which was more stealth. God had an amazing plan though unknown to us at the time, as we different have a lot of options in our area which made our decision even more difficult. But we found a very recently started church plant in the area. Pastor was very familiar with Calvinism, reformed theology and was against it because of what scripture teaches. The church recognizes that God loves everyone and doesn’t just pick and choose certain people to save. If God is convicting you that something just doesn’t sound right, ask questions, right letters to the leaders, hold leaders accountable to what is being taught. In the end if you have to walk away know that God is walking with you and has a reason and a plan for you.

@hannacastaneda8219 Arminianism is another Gospel and completely changes the nature of God. It's incredibly grievous People saying things like you have no idea what the Reformation did. It was in about 1800 that the first departed from the Reformed Theology. Protestant but no longer Biblical believers. Charless Finney started the doctrine of decisional regeneration followed by Billy Graham who ended up with universalism. czcams.com/video/hrf60-zHl9A/video.html The saying Of Jesus: No-one can enter the kingdom of God without BEING born again. That is not making a decision that is a work of the Holy Spirit.
If the anti-Calvinist were right there would have been no Gospel for the last 1400 years and even not before that. Origin of men’s free will goes back to Pelagius about 400AD. And the heresy of the pope around 700 AD About 20 to 30 million people following the Reformation died by the hand of the Spanish Inquisition for not giving up their faith. The Queen of England at the time was Called Bloody Mary for her cruelty against the Calvinist, I rather say reformed because we don't follow a man. William Tyndale was burned at the stake for translating the Bible and being a Calvinist on 6 October 1536. Do you claim his faith he died for was a heresy????
It was from the Lord. Never lost is never saved, Christ Jesus did not come for choosers. Arminius was a Pelagian heretic. He twisted all of the Letter to the Romans. I have and read all Arminius works. For one he claims that God's plan of salvation came after the Fall in Paradise, otherwise God would be the Author of sin. The other is that Paul said: Wretched man I’am was before his conversion, he would not have said after his conversion . Arminius had studied theology under Theodore Beza, Calvin's successor. Beza was one of the stronger proponents of the Reformed doctrine of predestination. But Arminius's theology represented a retreat from this position. In some ways, ARMINIUS'S THEOLOGY WAS ACTUALLY A RETURN TO THE POSITION TAKEN BY ROMAN CATHOLICISM AT THE COUNCIL OF TRENT. NATURALLY, ARMINIANISM STIRRED HEATED CONTROVERSY toward THE REFORMED CHURCHES. The reformation was a Miracle of the Lord equal to David Killing Goliath with a Stone. 95 teases written in Latin killed the Giant of the Pope’s false doctrine.
The American Great Awakening was a reformed puritans movement and the doing of the Lord. Millions came to accept Christ our Lord as there Savior. Claiming that that was the work of a deceiver is crossing a dangerous line. [I rather say Reformed, we do not follow a man. Calvin was just a small part of the reformation.
Edwards's earliest writings brought together John Locke and Isaac Newton in a defence of a religious metaphysics. Later, after a career as a practicing clergyman who led the ‘Great Awakening’, Edwards developed a Calvinist theology founded on the covenant of grace whose centre was the experience of an omnipotent God. His views were most significantly spelt out in Religious Affections (1746) and Freedom of the Will (1754).
JONATHAN EDWARDS ON THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD (CALVINISM)
"The Sovereignty of God is the stumbling block on which thousands fall and perish; and if we go contending with God about His sovereignty it will be our eternal ruin. It is absolutely necessary that we should submit to God as an absolute sovereign, and the sovereign of our souls; as one who may have mercy on whom He will have mercy and harden whom He will" (Jonathan Edwards).
The quote above, by Jonathan Edwards, is excerpted from Arminianism: Another Gospel -
      Jonathan Edwards
Most historians consider Jonathan Edwards, a Northampton Anglican minister, one of the chief fathers of the Great Awakening.
Edwards’ message centred around the ideas that humans were sinners, God was an angry judge and individuals needed to ask for forgiveness. He also preached justification by faith alone.
In 1741, Edwards gave an emotional sermon, entitled “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God.” No-one in the church had dry eyes. It was not the gifted preacher because Edwards read most of the sermon. It was a strong conviction of the Holy Spirit. News of the message spread quickly throughout the colonies.
Edwards was known for his passion. He generally preached in his home parish, unlike other revival preachers who traveled throughout the colonies.
Edwards is credited for inspiring hundreds of conversions, which he documented in a book, Narratives of Surprising Conversions.

George Whitefield, a minister from Britain, had a significant impact during the Great Awakening. Whitefield toured the colonies up and down the Atlantic coast, preaching his message. In one year, Whitefield covered 5,000 miles in America and preached more than 350 times.
Martin Luther said this Gospel of “grace alone” will be for a moment but soon attacked by the Devil. We see so much hate against the sovereignty of God.
Daniel 4: 34 At the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High, and praised and honored him who lives forever, for his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom endures from generation to generation; 35 all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does according to his will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him, “What have you done?”
THIS IS HOW CALVIN PREACHED THE GOSPEL
FREE OFFER OF THE GOSPEL (Calvin's Wisdom p119-120)
He calls all men to himself, without a single exception, and gives Christ to all, that we may be illumined by him. When we pray, we ought, according to the rule of charity, to include all. God invites all indiscriminately to salvation through the Gospel, BUT THE INGRATITUDE OF THE WORLD IS THE REASON why this grace, which is equally offered to all, is enjoyed by few.
Other than the result of men’s refusal. Calvin never preached Double predestination as you can see and put the responsibility by men. Listen I say Preached. It is a Biblical Doctrine that God Choose or elected His Own and not the whole human race.
What about 70 Million Buddhists in Thailand. 93% in Thailand are Buddhists and 5.5% Islam. Why??? If God wants all men to be saved, did God fail to bring the gospel there so they could chose to be Christian or Buddhist? One born into Buddhism has no choice but Buddhism, Only the conviction by The Holy Spirit can change hearts.

Hello…, I’m new to your page and I just wanted to thank you for posting your story. It made me wish I could some how chat with you to share what’s been going on with me regarding Calvinism. I never really understood that teaching until last year and I’m realizing my Pastor believes in the election doctrine as well. I was hoping to talk with him soon because it has been really effecting me almost daily. Leaving your home church must of been so hard and I’m fearing the Same thing, I may have to leave mine as well. I can’t imagine he will ever change his view. But I’m his defense, he doesn’t seem to be as heavy into like other Calvinist preachers Ive heard, I’m not 100% clear on his entire view but I know he does believe in God choosing some over others.
Well thanks again, your story makes me feel less alone because it doesn’t seem like too many people really care about this subject.

Sorry…. Just seeing your reply to my comment. I didn’t know you responded like 2 weeks ago!! Smh…. Thank you for getting back to me. I still plan on speaking to my pastor. It’s something I think God put on my heart to do even though I been feeling a little nervous about it not knowing which way the conversation will go. At this point he knows I want to talk and had agreed to get together with me. When he comes back from his vacation in two weeks I plan on reaching out again. Listening to you, Laughton Flowers and a few others has helped so much. I may want to take you up on chatting before hand if that’s possible. I realize how busy everyone is so if it’s not something that’s possible at this time I completely understand… I’m homeschooling and working full time so I know our time is very limited.😅
Thanks again for all your doing, it’s been a huge blessing to me!! ❤

16:50 if I had a dollar for every time I've heard a calvinist use this as a proof text for TD I'd be rich. They fail to understand that Paul was writing this to BABY CHRISTIANS that had already believed and been saved but were still focusing on "carnal" (fleshly) things and thus could not move on in the faith to receive more understanding. They were "preoccupied" with selfish and carnal desires, that's all this means and even Christians can me carnally minded (stuck in the flesh). This is why the battleground is the mind and we must take control of our thoughts and intentions.
    Good teaching!

Thank you for your wonderful videos, Alana. My hubby & I came out of Calvinism after over 30 years. Leighton's book, The Potter's Promise was very instrumental. Keep learning as you trust God to reveal more truth & don't be surprised at how many dominoes within Christendom begin to fall as you continue to question those long-held assumptions & hold them up to Scripture as you are already doing. 2 Tim. 2:15 KJB tells us to, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING the Word of truth." The KEY to understanding your KJB Bible is to rightly divide it, NOT separating truth from error (bc all the Bible is truth) NOR is it separating O.T. from N.T. ( btw, do you know that MML&J are still O.T. under the law?) BUT separating truth written to Israel who have an earthly destination & under the law (prophetic program) FROM truth written to the BOC in the present parenthetical disp of grace (mystery program revealed to Paul ) with a heavenly realm destination. Different programs of God, one to restore heaven, one to restore earth. But Christendom sees only one & stirs them up, serving theological soup every Sunday. The BOC wasn't a known thing yet until the ASCENDED Christ began His heavenly ministry by appearing to Saul/Paul & making him the first one saved into the BOC, an entirely NEW entity destined for the heavenly realm. THIS is where our story began, NOT in Acts 2 ( no church began there, the Jewish assembly was ADDED TO that day).Check out Pauline Mid-Acts dispensational teachers on you tube such as Justin Johnson at Grace Ambassadors, Swayzee, IND who understands right division & has an amazing & easy to understand wealth of online resources. I hope it blesses you as much as it has us! Can't tell you how much more sense the Bible makes when it is rightly divided. Still praying Leighton Flowers will discover it too. Grace & Peace!

Girl, you are speaking everything that's been on my heart lately! One of the verses the Lord used to teach me to lean on Him over man is 1 John 2:27: "As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit-just as it has taught you, remain in him." He is our Teacher. Why do we waste our time learning the doctrines of man to find the truth when the Word of God is the Truth?!

@@AlanaL3 When I left my Calvinist church I had one last conversation with the pastor and I brought up all the points that you mentioned in this video. His answer was: "Yes all that you say is true, but we also believe in determinism and there is no human logic that can explain that. In our human minds, it is a contradiction but in God's, it is not. it is a mystery that we have to accept, just the same way we accept the mystery of the trinity".

“Children of wrath”. That is an excellent point you brought out. I never thought about it that way. We have wrath and anger in ourselves. It’s not the wrath of God here, it’s our wrath. Mark 3:5 the same word is translated anger.
    Young’s Literal Translation
    Ephesians 2:3
“among whom also we all did walk once in the desires of our flesh, doing the wishes of the flesh and of the thoughts, and were by nature children of wrath -- as also the others,”
We assume that we should finish it by saying “of God”. But you cannot do that with scripture. We cannot make assumptions when it comes to Gods Holy Word.

I literally stumbled across your channel on youtube. This video and Part 1 had me in tears. I've been a Reformed Baptist (Calvinist) since I was saved at 16. I am now 43, and my world (Calvinism) is now falling apart. I am in New England in a spiritually dead area, and struggling to find a new church, or even sound biblical pastors online that I can learn from, as I walk through this season of my life. Who would you suggest learning from in terms of pastors, as I navigate leaving Calvinism?

Ms Alana...please don't stop teaching the Word that God reveals to you. I like your white board examples as well--it helps to grasp it quickly. Way back in the past, I encountered the Calvinist viewpoints and I just knew that wasn't my God's way in dealing with his creation. Psalms 103: 7 made it clear to me that it is possible for people to focus so much on God's work (Righteousness/Judgements) without balancing it with God's ways (Grace/Mercy). The beauty I found that both God's righteous judgements and His Divine Mercies is fully displayed in Christ on the Cross.
II Corinthians 5: 19"...God was reconciling "the world to Himself" NOT counting their sins against them, and entrusting to US the Message of Reconciliation!" NOT doom and gloom for some and joy and bliss for others. Jesus is for the World!!!

"Free will" is an illusion in Compatibilism.
To declare that BECAUSE you only do what you "want", "desire", or "choose" to do is "free will" is immediately made moot when they also hold to the premise that it is GOD ALONE who decides your "wants", "desires" or "choices ACCORDING to His Immutable Decree. You cannot change your "wants", "desires" or "choices" outside Gods immutable decree.
If anything, the "wants", "desires" or "choices" people have, are only the metaphorical strings that God uses to manipulate his puppets made of flesh & blood, & therefore decree whatsoever comes to pass.
Freewill is not a superpower, but Calvinists sure like to pretend they dont apply their freewill in life with the choices that they make.
Their cognitive dissonance is a superpower, but that comes from the father of lies.

Just remember, even if the commentary isn't there, the publishers of whatever bible you have can lean towards translating things in a calvinistic way. Good to use multiple translations. I love using the NKJV, NASB2020, NLT, GNT, Orthodox, and some others, along with the greek and hebrew to understand if what I am reading matches the "original text". It can be surprising how some bibles put things, and sometimes it's good or bad. Just some thoughts on it!

The church I grew up in went through a split over the issue then and it was in the church, just not talked about out in the open. Since the split some of their people continue to send me videos and literature on Calvinism and I just really wish I knew what is the best way to counter their theology while
Still showing them love and not offending them. I’d appreciate any advice !

This verse spoke out to me concerning Calvinism. 2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets among the people just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even DENYING THE SOVEREIGN LORD WHO BOUGHT THEM- bringing swift destruction on themselves.
