My McDonald's gives me employee discount on all meals, if I'm working or not, some staff give me free food as well. Never been offered free drinks though. Need to up my hustle 🤣
Good informational video. I have started doing the Door Dash and Uber Eats full time, like you I am calculating all the little items to get an accurate dollar amount that I am making versus what I spend. I have watched a lot of CZcams videos for delivery drivers and got a good system in place as to the number of hours worked to a dollar amount that I would like to make during that time. We have a few restaurants in the area that I work at that take longer than normal and the meals aren't always ready as soon as I walk in the door. Oh well, on to the next one - Cheers mate and be safe out there!
I spot the P1 podcast! Keep up the good work mate! Wish Amazon Flex worked here been stuck on waitlist for ages
Always look forward to your videos! Love seeing England! Love seeing all the areas.. so cool! Thanks for always sharing and great video! 😊
Glad you enjoy them, thanks so much for watching ☺️
*TIP* when doing amazon blocks from Morrisons there is a way of not getting sent back to complete more orders. Once you have completed the orders it will ask you to acknowledge and begin to collect more, just ignore it and close the app down. Once you need to reopen the app to start your next block you will find you are on the home page and ready to check in for the next block. Been doing it for around 4 years on and off as a side hustle and never had any issues
What do you mean? When I finish a morrisons flex block it usually just goes back to my homescreen and doesn't offer me another block. Annoying cause I'd like to do 4 or 5 of them in a row but usually only get 1 or 2 if I'm lucky
Nice work on the channel man, from a fellow F1 fan. (Spied the P1 podcast with Matt and Tommy playing on your phone) 😊
Cheers bro! Ha, gotta love a bit of P1 😉
Great video mate. Looking forward to the logistics video! I did my first Morrisons block this week I quite enjoyed it even though I had 5 drops and a shit tonne of heavy bags 😅 and I definitely went over the 1.5 hr block. I don't take logistics blocks but might actually try it 😁👍
a big blue ikea bag is a godsend if youve a drop with lots of bags
@@stephenquinn4826 I bet! I love a solid ikea bag so many uses!! I’ve stopped Amazon flex now. Ironically I’m now buying Amazon liquidation stock and re selling it on eBay for a nice profit 😃
When you spoke about the editing, in this video it seems to fine, I like how you aded the money adding up on the top left, just keep on working on edititng & you should be fine
but when it comes to the music & the cuts imo I think they're fine (level wise just make sure you check because some music can be louder then others)
Keep up the grind brother
Another brilliant video, love these longer videos :)
Great videos man, thanks for sharing.👍
“Everything feels better without protection” 😄😄
I’m starting flex soon myself so great vids bro 👍🏻 keep them coming
Audio much better, thanks for that :D
Another fantastic video Lewis. Love the content. Keep it coming. How about a challenge video or two. How much can you make in 24 hrs or Can you make £1000 in a week.
11:20 that parking job is unreal 😍
great video, can I ask what insurance firm do you use? i'm currently looking at doing something similar but am abit confused about what exact insurance I need, keep up the good work pal :)
Great video like usual
Why do I find these so bloody fascinating?
Liked your lewis Hamilton reference 😂
If you want a per mile car maintenance figure feel free to use mine. You should get roughly 20,000 miles per tire. Tyres for your Micra will be around £45 fully fitted so that would be £180 for 4 new tires every 20,000 miles so you are 1p per mile for tyre wear and tear. For a service you should get one ever 12,000 miles. A Full Service is £169 from Farmers. Therefor your price per mile is 1.5p per mile for a service. However i round this up to 2p per mile to account for price increase. I then add an extra 2p per mile to account for exhaust, MOT, Tax etc taking the total to 5p per mile.
Good figures - that’s helpful, thanks! I may well start including this as a baseline figure in future vids 🙌🏻
“Everything feels better without protection” 😂 amen brother, great vid 👍
A...get a couple of massive blue ikea bags for morrisons drops. Can get loads in them buggers.
B... Get a small thermal bag, loads out there that that starbucks order would sit totally snug in.
Great video again mate.
Thanks man 🙌🏻
Good video mate keep it up 👍
Cheers mate 🙌🏻
@8:15 the 15 pro max is OLED which means it will soon suffer burn in if you use the maps for hours day in day out. Speaking from experience, after 3 months doing similar my phone is now sponsored by WAZE with the permanent arrow and button on bottom right 😂😅
Could you do a video or tell me about insurance for uber and deliveroo i do flex and have the inshur top up insurance is there something similar for these 2? Hire and reward insurance for the year is really expensive
Loving the videos! What GoPro do you use?
Cheers mate! Just a Hero 11!
Just come by your channel randomly with 9to5 video loved and sub and just want to add about the iPhone 15 there has been reports that it over heats with non apple type c chargers cable so just be careful
Liking the videos. With regards to car maintenance I drive 30000 miles a year as a working musician and find my garage bill ( servicing and tyres) is always around £1200 a year 😊
Can I ask what products you use for recording with your phone and what apps for editing your videos? Thanks 😊
Great video! Living in Canada, the goverment (Canada Revenue Agency) has a automobile alllowance rate which determines how much it costs to use your own vechile for business purposes. There might be something similar in the UK.
Yep, 45p per mile up to 10000 miles and 25p after is deductable
@@change2023nowThis allowance hasn’t been reviewed for several years now. Given the cost of motoring these days, an uplift is long overdue.
@@commuterbranchline8132 absolutely. But that means less tax revenue for the government.
I think your videos are great but only gives an idea of your area. Having done Uber eats for a week around southampton and Winchester it’s a totally different experience with no where to park etc. traffic wardens, police etc looks so much easier in your area.
Do you get your money right away or is it weekly / monthly?
An Idea you could do with cost of servicing is like put £2 into a pot after each day and use that for expenses £10 a week if it's 5 day week.
What app are you using to plan routes as Google maps only allow a max of 10 waypoints?
I was a self employed despatch rider in London over 40 years ago when I never made less than £120 daily after expenses. Much the same as it is today! But I had to have special business insurance for the bike which was expensive because I was carrying parcels. Is that a thing today? Not just a business use policy for the motorbike. It was about twice the price of normal insurance.
That's nuts! And yea, we need hire & reward insurance, and it's pricey (£150 a month for me on a 13-year old Micra with no claims, and that's CHEAP compared to what other riders get quoted).
could pack a towel to stuff in the bag to fill the space makes it less likely for the bags to fall over etc
And put a seatbelt on the bag for extra security!
Mate what are the cons and pros of working with car comparing to motorbike
As an Uber/UberEats driver in the US (Nashville, TN) I love seeing shifts from a few thousand miles away. Keep up the great work!
How does it compare to the US, work and money wise?
@@warren6815 The money in the UK appears to be considerably less, but Nashville is a much bigger city and a tourist destination. An average day here is around $25 to $27 an hour. On the weekend (and especially later at night) it can be a lot more.
@@nick-graham Ah interesting! Thanks. I did wonder if the earnings were higher in the US. Last couple of times I've been out there I noticed a lot of UberEats drivers doing deliveries in big F150s and the like, whereas the UK drivers tend to use smaller more efficient cars. I know fuel is a lot cheaper in the US but did make me wonder if they paid better too.
Car maintenance and hire and reward insurance is added to mileage
Which insurance company you recommended to do delivery?
I've always wanted to try delivering but wondered how does tax work with the income? Do you have to declare it yourself or the company will tax it from your pay?
It's self-employment, so you're responsible for declaring your earnings once a year and paying your own tax. Obviously, there are expenses in this job that will lower the amount of tax you owe. I'll be making a video in the near future about it all as it's something that's been requested a few times!
Where do you pay insurance? Can you recommend any company? Im going to pay hourly.
What's your typical mpg in that micra?
I watch CZcams while waiting for my next food pick-up.
Still too loud music. Try make it just like a background music
I signed up to amazon Flex yesterday, and there is no work in my area 😢 think the dsp have all the work.
The car maintenance thing is still a factor with everyone who travels to and from work in their offices, factory’s etc yes you do more miles but still I bet these people asking you don’t include that into their profits.
Couldn’t have said it better myself 🙌🏻
what insurance did you get to be able to deliver with uber?
Zego is good if you're doing it on off. It's pay as you go
Hi mate, do you have another job? As if someone is looking to do this on weekends just wondering how that affects tax etc?
I earn all my money from self-employment (deliveries, web-dev work, and CZcams) so I don't have any employment tax. But if you do, you can earn £1,000 from self-employment tax free, then you pay normal tax on anything over that, but you have to declare it.
That's thoughtful. Free drink from maccys. P.S. Amazon are notoriously bad to their staff's mental and physical health. In their warehouse whether you stowe or pick items. Your handset has a timer. It sounds a traumatising fog horn at you when you go below their timer. Sometimes there are not enough spaces to stowe items and your colleagues see a spot in front of you and take it even though you are about to. They also have poorly lit areas. Amazon delivery is just as bad. They are timed. Often leaving them no time for lunch breaks nor toilet breaks....go in a bottle is their motto.
how can you deliver on uber eats if every mcdonalds have 2 hours no return parking restriction??? which means you can only enter once in 2 hours... someone explain how to bypass that? want to do uber eats but dont want get fine
Assumedly those places may not be camera enforced? If they're done by an attendant, and you're lucky enough to not choose the same place (and, when it comes to motorcycles, especially with a top box, they probably just assume you're a courier automatically, I'd guess!) Nonetheless, and asked this already, I wonder if anyone has ever been penalty charged from a car park while they were picking up an order, and whether they appealed it?
Do you have to pay for some orders your self then get money back from customer?
Not with the apps I use - there’s only one app I know of that works like this called Beelivery and it’s just for grocery shop orders, you pay, deliver it, then the company reimburses you the next day with your delivery fee on top.
Bet the fluctuating fuel costs the past few months mess with your calculations bud, as they change everyday,.
Keep up the good content mr..👍
Nice 1
Yea, had to update my fuel cost recently, gone from 14.5p to 15.7p per mile which sucks! Hopefully they drop again soon! Thanks for the kind words too bro 🙌🏻
First time watching love the vids but by god u talk a lot 😊
Who are you inshured with?
“Everything feels good without protection” *cough cough* 😄😄
👀
what size engine do you have?
No idea 😂
Mate the house blurring is a bit painful to watch
I can’t broadcast customer’s personal information including house numbers etc. and especially their faces. And it’s such an insignificant part of the video I’m not gonna painstakingly blur individual parts of the clip. Plus people may have issues with their home being filmed and put on CZcams without blurring. Nothing I can do about that I’m afraid.
£11 for a double order is really good i work for just eat and you be lucky just to get £6 for a double order
How much roughly can you earn per week, I live in Belfast and I'm thinking of doing this full-time for a while. Thanks
Depends how many hours you want to put in! I know guys who make £1k+ a week consistently but they work 60-70+ hours a week.
How does work Amazon flex? I’m Italian and there isn’t it
Glad to hear! Thanks for sticking around while I get my editing up to scratch 🙌🏻
So, can you actually make a full time job from food delivery?, as given, there are many who do it as a full time job, as you said, but also to earn a bit of extra cash. If you aimed for around £120 everyday, mon-fri .
Depends where you live and the apps you run. I work around 5 days a week and pull in £700ish a week. I am a single Dad and can't work every night. Other drivers in my area pull in 1k a week. It mostly comes down to the area you live in. Wouldn't do this job in his area. A full day in my town is £200+, most I've done is £280.
How about insurance
What is white coffee?
Coffee with Milk. Café con leche.
Never been offered free anything from McDonald's.
Iv done over 17000 orders and not once have I ever been offered a drink any where 😂
Same here
How many miles you do on average? maybe it would be easier/cheaper to use a flat rate for expenses Currently it is £0.45/mile
Is that your only job
Taunton maccies
I am a delivery driver myself, how an earth you get your figures is beyond me… Zego insurance is 0.80p basic rate an hour and how does a micra run all day on £8, for a Petrol car in this day and age that figure is incorrect as I have used a petrol car myself for this work. Also your mileage covers all your insurance, fuel and maintenance.
Seems pretty straightforward. Micra probably does around 45 mpg, so that fuel figure seems fine.
Insurance isn't forced to be zego hourly. Could be the monthly or annual policy or could be an entirely different insurer.
You can't just say "petrol car" and assume they all do the same mpg. Really silly comment.
@@dontwantid you can’t drive around in a Petrol car all day for £8 anyone with common sense knows that, especially if they have a petrol car….
0.68p insurance how??
What is silly is making out like it’s something it’s not 👍
@@LifeLK8793 I'm going to do my best to be polite here, but having run a 1L petrol engined car for deliveries myself, it's easy to do 50mpg, which a gallon is what, £6.50? So 60ish miles seems reasonable for the money he did on food deliveries, it seems perfectly acceptable, using maths, not common sense. Just do the maths.
And again, the insurance cost he says he pays 50p per hour. Would need to know how he calculates that but it seems absolutely fine to me if he pays annually
@@dontwantid mayb back in the day like I say in this day and age not a chance, I used a Petrol car myself and what your saying was not the case…
@@LifeLK8793 which petrol car? A gallon is about £7, so 50 miles would still cost me £7. Honestly even if that figure is incorrect, it's not massively incorrect.
Nearly got [myself] run over by a bike
I think you need to look at doing a self tax assessment online as you could pay a year what someone pays in a month. If in doubt get advice from an accountant ;-)
I've considered it, but even just tracking things myself, I've managed to pay way less tax than when I was employed, so I'm happy! Will definitely look into it more soon though!
What's your other 20% income cypto? I'm nosey buggga 😂
