      It is probably just matted with Gold foiled paper. A very common thing in card making to give it a frame.

    Tank you very much for sharing. I am very new at using alcohol inks and the new Alloys. I have watched many videos and still can not figure out what I am doing wrong. After the piece dried the alloy ink rubbed off. Do I need to seal the work before handling?

    Amazing 👏....was there any heat at all in the blower you were using? I have an old hairdryer which hardly has any heat...I wondered if that would do the job 🤔....I have a puffer....but I would need oxygen if I used that...I can't wait to see more from you...you are very talented...Jane North Wales UK 😀

      They are most likely matted with Gold foiled paper, cut a tad bigger than the alcohol inked yupo.

    Is that just regular paper or yupo? These are really beautiful. I’m going to try these. You’ll have to show us how to make those flowers, they are gorgeous.

      Hello Jennene, it is Grafix Craft Paper, similar to Yupo. For Alcohol inks it has to be a “plastic” paper. Yupo, Grafix, some use the back of photo paper (I haven’t tried that yet) I’ll put that on my to do list!

      @@destresswithscrapbookniaga4153 the backside of a photo paper didn’t work for me. The paper got soaked with alcohol and the ink got absorbed.

    Just beautiful!! Is that a regular drier? It seems pretty powerful when compared to the heat embossing ones - I don’t know if the same outcome could be achieved. I am hitting the subscribe button - you are very talented! Thanks for sharing this technique.

      Thanks Dana. It is not an embossing gun. It’s a curling dryer brush, the brush end you can remove

    I've heard that there is mica in the metallics, they become heavier. I think that's why they act differently. I'm no expert though

      The gold mirror cardstock I picked up at Michaels and surprisingly affordable! I love it!

      I change my dryer settings between cool (which has stronger air flow) but it does have a heat setting with lower air flow. I use both on hair dryer. Not the embossing tool. That’s much hotter than hair dryer.

      Hello Kathy, My dryer is ancient I got lucky and just had it lying around. I haven’t used any other one. The one I commonly saw people use was from Revlon. Check out Lorrie Brewer’s CZcams she just did a video trying out dryers

      My hair dryer is a Vidal Sassoon. Any type of curling brush that you can remove the brush attachment would work

      what's the deal with a respirator? I'm not seeing any of these "how to" videos come out and say "use a respirator" I don't use one but set up a well ventilated area. Should I be using one too? Do you?

      @@diegooland1261 alcohol ink is toxic and really bad for your lungs. It's good that you use a well ventilated space but a mask would protect you better. Yes, I do wear one. Always. A friend of mine died of lung cancer.

      @@dianadevlin3717 thanks for getting back to me Diana. the risk vs the cost of a respirator is a no-brainer. i'm new to this type of art and will do a full stop until i get a mask. i understand most people have the best of intent with diy videos, help the beginner and showcase their work. but i also think this comes with a responsibility. Either in the description or the audio should address PPE if there is a known risk. leaving it out implies no risk.

      Hi Diana. I clear my throat all the time like that from food sensitivities. It’s not the alcohol around me that causes that. In a little bit of time mine clears up. Diary, gluten and tea causes that in me.
